  • Here it is! My 408 stroker with all Texas Speed internals. Paired with a couple of VS Racing 70/70 mirror image turbos, should make plenty of power.

    Love the videos! Working on my 70 chevelle ls swap as we speak. I got jealous of your Lemans ls swapped. Looked like you were having way to much fun.

    You going to need bigger oil pan
    I have almost the same exact setup except I have Oliver rods eagle crank same intake
    823 heads vs racing 78/75 twins
    220 Holley terminator x injectors

      Why will he need a bigger oil pan?

    • @jacevincent2574
      @jacevincent2574 11 месяцев назад +1

      @Funkyflykiwi with a high volume oil pump and turbos, a lot of the oil will be pushed into the heads+turbos once the engine is running hard, and that can lead to the oil pan running dry and then spun bearings.

      @@jacevincent2574 Valid, didnt hear him say "hi volume" . I got the melling "high pressure/std volume" pump for mine. Not sure why this guy got the hi volume.

    I read you don’t want to go with a high VOLUME pump, you want a high pressure pump. The difference is a high volume means you could possibly starve the bottom end from the continuous flow of volume during heavy use. Read into it a bit

      I did my research. A high volume, high pressure pump is what you want with a twin turbo engine. You need to move more oil when you’re feeding turbos along with the engine. My engine builder and my tuner both recommended it.

      Makes sense with the turbos, but I have spun bearings from a high volume pump just doing street pulls. Just make sure to run more oil volume than you would normally!

    I just came across this video while researching my own 408 build and love that you show exactly what you're putting on. Which Holley intake (P/N if possible) are you going with?

    Hi man! Sick video! May I ask which alternator bracket you used with that waterpump. I got a very similar setup.

      It’s a bracket from ICT Billet. They have dozens of brackets for mounting in many different locations. Can’t remember exactly which one I have, but check out their website, I’m sure you’ll find one that works.

    I'm building something the same im using a Gen 4 LS 6.0, i have got stock bore a 4.100 Lunati forged crank, Manley 6.125 H-beam rods forged JE flat top -3cc pistons, Gen 4 LS3 heads, custom grind cam, im going with 98mm ceramic ball bearing single turbo which is good for 2000hp custom headers 50mm wastegate mine will be street driving with low boost and crank it up when needed im using a sheet metal hi rise intake 105mm TB 3" intercooler im wanting to hit 650hp on motor and low boost to 800-1000hp so far im in $30k in parts with all the usual bits like ARP GM Melling's, as for the ecu im not certain if I go Holley or Haltech which is my last expence and 3000-3500 torque converter and 6l80e be keen to see how you go

    I know this comment is late, but... Bruh, your oil pick-up tube. Where is it? I didn't see that get installed. Also no, dont modify the header for cosmetics. If you do, your pass side turbo will be an inch and a half closer to the exhaust source.

      At 12:55 in the video you can see me installing the pick up.

    What’s the part numbers to the exhaust headers

    • @averagedadsgarage
      @averagedadsgarage  Год назад

      Can’t find a part number, but here’s an eBay listing of the same headers. But I couldn’t find anyone selling the headers by themselves. I only paid $250 for them. www.ebay.ca/itm/295286083801?hash=item44c06c10d9:g:N-UAAOSwFIBjT5wf&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8BOE6%2BgmTvTKiZBNXmCm3C2jqV6Gx2xfze3xcyFaeIqhMMFyq3gTZZtJPmTiD9uQW9wDE%2FUZg7dFnFHyczOsAcPhGh9Q1BFW9mSdTIQbVlMmOHAKtLZnVrxre%2F6fRUSenUGOW0DGR4%2BHhM1ZTR42%2FY8cBsEDhRMGy9QLDoUNQRVJAYUbJD64PTql%2F26c%2FUa1HNYnCorbuZcIoEln4aYuPbXOQQdNu30bZYE61ANNA1s7UiJOlocZln9ODWTsoIE3p3p5fuEZr55QcgT8n6I955xzaKdxWilhXbs9aHNrp%2Fq69qZOllHSzwRrPc0C13ziKQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9a33_LIYQ
