I had recently been to the Ford Delaer and bought a set of spark plugs for the same car. and guess what, I get spark plugs that say Bosch Hr7mev instead of Hr8mev. so I had called them, and they told me that the Hr7mev is the replacement for the Hr8mev. The difference is that the Hr7mev is 1 step colder and has an electrode distance of 1.2mm instead of 1.3mm. The car runs excellent no problems so far with the new plugs.
Removing the big cable connectors in the fuse box helps with access to the pollen filter - they are blue, orange and green with quick connectors. Good video!
Yes the pollen filter on the focus is ridiculous . I have a Volvo C30 which is basically a focus and it took me ages to work out how to change it , it’s a joke no wonder it had never been replaced before !
Once you get the the bracket with the two 13mm nuts and the brackets out the way the pollen filter is a lot easier to remove and re fit it's a bit awkward but not that bad

It's worth bearing in mind that the original ford pollen filter is lacesd with what appears to be charcoal so looks dirty even when new .I speak with experience..
I know, it’s the same type I had in previous cars, but this one was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen in a car and this is my 25th. I’ve put a non-charcoal filter for now as the plan is to recharge the aircon and use an “aircon bomb”, to finish off, which would require a cabin filter replacement, so there was no point going for a charcoal activated one yet.

Anyway rant over thanks for the heads up and fingers crossed for the weekend.
Yes, a pig of a job, but because I wanted to do a full clean of the ducts using an “aircon bomb” I had to use a cheap one start with. Every time a “aircon bomb” is used the filter has to be replaced. Good luck with the job!

Hi Gentil, could you give me some advise? I have exact the same car and my ventilation only works if the re-circulation is turned on. When I set the fan to get the air from outside it does not blow. Cabin filtre was changed and not fixed. I guess the flaps are stuck. The ford dealer told me that whole dashbord should be de-assembled. Do you know an easier way to do that? And secondly, my fuel pump needs to be replaced and Ford dealer ordered one but they have been waiting me for one month. Does it really take that long to get an OEM fuel pump? If not which brand do you use and how much would that part cost? Thank you!
Hi. I haven’t touched the ventilation system, but because the pólen filter is such a pain to replace, I assume that the servo motors that operate the flaps might be hard to access. Other solution is trying removing the radio, glove box and centre console, but I simply don’t know where the flap motors are located. Regarding the fuel pump, it’s a strange one but it’s not the first time that I ordered a part and it took a long time to be received by the dealer. However, I would try and chase them asking why is it taking so long. A non ford branded pump can cost around £100, but I haven’t replaced one yet, so I don’t know which one I should recommend, except from a reputable brand.
