    Fusco's character evolution is one of the best things this show has ever done. I've always liked him but he was a dirty cop who tried to kill Reese. Now I'm sure he could sacrifice himself for anyone.

      Yeah he was cut out for that role. Excellent casting. And I'm surprised JC took the role of Reese, he's a die-hard cathaholic and pacifist, he played Jesus Christ in Passion of the Christ.

    I forget that there's just enough darkness in Fusco to make him a badass as well cause of the good work John and company did on him. I keep forgetting he wasn't JUST there for comic relief...can you imagine the look of horror on that psychiatrist's face when he realized what he was hearing? lol

    • @heron2
      @heron2 18 дней назад

      I don't know. I have a feeling that those psychiatrists hear similar stories to this one more than a few times in their career.

  • @jreese7436

    I always felt this added a layer to how he became a diry cop. Not out of greed or a power trip but by watching too many guys walk over technicalities or connections or high priced lawyers. Probably what John saw and why he let him live.

    • @Halesburg
      @Halesburg Год назад +3

      I've witnessed this in real life. My coworker is so sick and tired of "professional homeless" is what he calls them. Under 40 men who are physically capable who just go from store to store stealing everything they can, drunk off their ass, high on fent. He told this one guy he's just gonna call the cops and tell them he has a weapon if he comes in our store again.

  • @seanmansfield4853

    Fusco is under-appreciated. Played off for laughs as the comic relief but it such a solid guy. Team Machine kept him in the dark for so long and was still always there for them.

    • @paulmichaelfreedman8334
      @paulmichaelfreedman8334 2 года назад +8

      That consolidated the fact that Fusco was doing the right thing because he enjoyed it and had grown to have a deep respect for Reese and Carter, not because of some higher purpose (machine). So I think it was intentional that he was let in the loop as late as possible. It was the way of telling the audience Fusco was still on the right path.

      What i like about this is, even if Fusco is shown to be a dirty cop at the beginning, this shows that he in a way is a man of honor and possesses some Morals.
      He didn't shoot the Guy out of personal gain or something, he did it to right a wrong. The Guy shot a Rookie off duty and the Justice System failed by letting him walk free. Lionel in this instance functioned as the necessary evil, he balanced the scales.

    You see a pattern with the characters in POI. They all have something that normal people would call unusual or may call them “crazy” because they’re misunderstood people. I just love the character development in this show. Probably the best character development in a show from the past 5 years. Hands down

    Alright so everyone goes “goo goo eyed” for the Elias and Simmons scene later in the show
    (With good reason)
    But I think this is our high water mark for Fusco too. To see so starkly where he came from and how much he has grown… Kevin did a fantastic job playing a layered character without any of us realizing just how complex he was until this moment.
    Kudos to you sir!

    While I have read the many comments I feel the urge to add my own as a person who has been on the fringes of certain types of non standard groups let me make this non specific statement the Italians the Russians, the Greeks and all other groups have very specific codes of conduct to step outside of these things is to be a person of standards. These groups would consider a person of this nature...disgraceful that is to say a man without honor

      How? I agree s1/2 were god tier with s3 just slightly below . S4/S5 were good but not but not great they sidelined Reese and made him at as a compelling and his dynamic with Finch was also put to the side. S4/S5 had amazing concepts ( two AI's, theme of death, biochips making sleeper agents easy or can maniupalte your mind and make u like venom snake) In additon S4/S5 were rushed due to CBS not making much money, Warner Bros made most of the mula.
      I am intrested in what direction you wish POI went!

      So some petty crime is exactly the same as murdering someone, and completely justifies a cop putting a knee on a person's neck for 10 minutes until they die? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?
      Also, at the end of the episode he arrests the guy who killed his partner without killing him, what a way to miss the goddamn point.
