  • This is a shortened, "maintenance" cleaning procedure for the Lee Pro 1000 press that takes about half an hour. Do this whenever your primer feed mechanism starts getting dirty and not feeding primers right anymore. For me, that's somewhere between 4,000 and 6,000 rounds.
The hour-plus-long full strip/clean/reassembly (in an earlier video series) should be done every, say, 20,000 rounds.
This video series is also available at my Web site, www.sanfranciscoliberalwithagun.com.

Cowboy T! Not to be confused with Mr. T! I FINALLY got around to cleaning my press per your suggestion and am VERY satisfied with the results! Loaded just short of 500 rounds with only one damaged primer and that turned out to be a crimped primer pocket! Very satisfied with this press again!

Your videos are incredibly informative and useful. The only thing I can suggest is getting better lighting. It is really hard to see sometimes. Cheap plug in shop lights would work great.
