Be aware they're not even realising that what they're trying to outline is that their perception value and view has a greater precedent over another by saying cat-calling is wrong as it is based on their own personal feelings over an act that can have a positive or negative response dependant on the individual. So them arguing for it to be criminalised is saying no one is equal.

@Stefon Palinic The lines between catcalling and harrasment have been blurred cat-calling is cat-calling what would be aggressive is subject to the individual, not sure who is ok with it but I know this narrative is trying to re-engineer the next generation to go out and label things not harmful as harmful.

I love how men are completely fine with a humans rights activist who is female that recognises men's issues to represent them. If a male was giving a talk for feminists, they would discredit him because 'he doesn't understand' because he is a male and therefore can't support women's rights.

    • @bagman1103
      @bagman1103 9 лет назад +78

      +ShamanGrayson
No, they would descredit him because feminist's ideology is about the same of hitlers. Which is why we call them "Feminiazi"
      For example:
*Girl hits and pushes guy for an unknown reason*
*Girl continues to hit person and insult them*
*Guy pushes the girl in self defence*
Feminist: You cant do that! They're a girl you can't hit them!
      Or, like Karen stated.
*Boy is pushed off 10 feet snowpile by girl*
*Boy throws a snowball at the girl in anger*
Feminist: It dosen't matter you could have snapped your neck or your bones in that push, you can't throw the snowball at her because she hurt you!
Feminism should have ended a long time ago, when they WERE given equal rights.
Feminists now just want more and more, wanting more rights than men and some of the rights of men(such as self defence) taken away. They want gender superiority.
I honestly don't give a shit what gender is supporting feminism, they're both wrong if they support it at this day in time.

When the guys stop seeing me as a female and as one of the guys, oh hoo there's no more filters lol In the beginning, they sort of police each other like, "dude, there's a girl here!! I don't think she said it so people would "feel sorry for her", why would you feel sorry for someone just because they're gay? It was probably a case of her not having a well-thought argument and spoke before she knew where she was going with it, because it was a pretty pointless argument.

About the girl at about 25 minutes in, I find two things very interesting. One is the fact that she seems to think that every single person on her campus knows she's gay, just because she's "openly gay". Unless she goes around with a tee shirt on that says "I am a lesbian" (and who knows, maybe she does) I have news for her, nobody knows or cares. She has such a self centered world view that I want to tell her the old poem, "Roses are red/Violets are blue/The world does not/Revolve around you."
The other thing is that she is so emotional that she can't restrain herself from throwing out an F bomb at a public lecture like that. Either that, or she doesn't care and thinks she should be allowed to say the F word all the time-but she probably would take serious offense if a man told her to "[F word] off" or similar.

Karen, this is just what I have been looking for. I have struggled a lot in recent times. I used to simply leave a job if I tired of the "social dynamics" but I can't now. I have been a male nurse for 17 years (whether I would have chosen this career if given the choice again is a story for another day) and I get given a very tough time by women. Women who were supposed to be colleagues find it very difficult to hide their contempt for a man in this field, and men in general. The doctors, the paramedics get treated differently, the male nurse, however, well, I'll leave it there shall I. When men say this stuff about women we are labelled assholes or pigs but to have a women call out these attitudes gives it credibility. THANK YOU.

@@EsteBahia I was at a bad point when I wrote that and I have managed to work through many of the issues. You have to get over chivalry and any idea you have that someone is innocent simply because they are a woman. You have to fight back.
I actually still would not advise men to become nurses. The risk of false claims is very high. I moved from an area of high patient contact where I was often alone with patients (ED), to one with less patient contact where I am never alone with a patient......ever (theatre). This has enabled me to resolve many of the issues I faced and I can now continue the rest of my working life in peace.
Sounds familiar doesn't it? You hear about women in male dominated fields being socially encouraged to fulfil only certain roles and pigeon-holed into other areas. It goes the same in reverse, there are many areas in nursing where men are simply not welcome. Why would you want to work somewhere you are not wanted?

I have been with my wife for 14 years about 6 years ago before we got married we had an argument a nieghbor called the police complained of violence. When there was none. My wife stated there was no violence. She came to court to state that she would not press charges. Did that stop the DA nope. And my public defender a young women told me all I could do is ride it out and it would be best to take a deal. Now I was 32 at the time with NO CRIMINAL HISTORY WHATSOEVER! I followed my lawyers advice and pleaded NO Contest to a deal. Smash cut to today. Around a month ago my wife asked me to drop my son off at a play date and she would pick him up. As I was leaving I saw a few of my friends, they invited me over for drinks and a game. I had a little too much to drink. I decide to sleep it off im my car keys NOT in the ignition. I get awoken by an officer stating that someone called a car robbery in!?!? I prove its my car the police officer states he will let me go just has to do a quick bg check. He does and a warrant pops up? I am confused there should be nothing I have completed all my court requirements. They take me in my wife contacts my public defender and asks whats going on? She states she forgot to turn im my completion papers and doesnt even offer an apology. Heres the kicker as I get released I see that they have put DUI and "Child Cruelty"???? Cause I dropped my son off at a play date and they assume I had already been drinking plus my record shows I beat women which is completely false. I lost a 90k job I am now paying through the teeth in legal fees fighting this. But the best part is my current paid lawyer told us that our public defender fucked us. Basically the DV case would have to have been thrown out if my wife never took the stand! Funny how my late 20's female public defender forgot to mention that. I just think I wasnt seen as part of the public she was meant to defend. I have been given other job offers cause of my experience only to be told we cant higher u because of your past. As some one who had a mother physically abuse me with a whip! A sister who stabbed me in the kidney and tried tossing me out of a moving car I know how evil and destructive women can be basically just as bad as anyone else. And as someone who decided not to take the path of violence which is evident in my prestine legal record before this happened. Either way I was hunted down as a witch and had his life taken away. I am still married to my wife and love her very much she has realized what has been happening to men and has always let me be masculine and tough with my son. Just knowing that being boys isnt inherently bad. This was tough for me to share but I hope it helps someone going through the same thing.

Listen, I'm sure you have good intent on posting this but you need to put yourself the man's shoes. Please, keep in mind each and every modern woman is raised completely desensitized from what a man has to go through. Each and every modern woman is raised entitled to a men's unsolicited efforts to provide for her without men EVER being able to ask for anything in return. If women are specifically raised apathetic of all men, why do you believe they'd have any sort of integrity ? Would you encourage a slave who has a chance to run away to stay and pray he finds a good, gentle master ? Would you really do that ?
Finding the right one is a gamble. No matter how smart and cautious you are, you will never be able to perfectly assess whether a woman is the right one or not. It's simply not possible. And again, context, circumstances change people. The gooddest of all women with all the integrity there is could just have circumstances that would have her lean toward divorce and the second that happens, all that integrity won't matter because nobody would even try to stop her, not the law and definitely not the society. Love is a notion that fades. It's biochemical, it's based on attraction, etc. Long marriages do not survive thanks to love, they survive thanks to a necessity on each part. Usually, the woman's need for financial protection and the man's need for his child. Now that the law will forcefully extract the financial resources from a divorced man, why would the average woman even think twice before divorcing a man who isn't to her current liking when society wouldn't blame her one bit for it ? Why would the average woman feel remorse for a now dead husband when society does its best desensitizing her to the idea that his life mattered. Society doesn't promote cross-gender empathy as a virtue (at least, not to women). If you were tilting slightly more toward frustration or anger with your husband when your problems did arise, you would have turned vindictive and destroyed his life. I'm sorry but it is so cut n dry. I personally know three very close married friends of mine, who are THIS CLOSE to give up on their manipulative, enslaving and - both mentally and physically - abusive wives, only to swallow the sour pill and keep on working simply because they know very well they'll never survive divorce. Their lives would be effectively ruined. Instead they keep on breathing yet dead inside thanks to antidepressants, forced to work till they're broken for a bunch of vegetative hags who have life and death power over their lives.
Among men's suicide rates which are many times higher than women's, a big percentage of them are divorced. It is literally the worst imaginable outcome for any man. US Air Force men have a record high suicide rate this year, it is due to infidelity and by extension divorce, neither cheating nor divorce was engaged on their part, it was on the wife. US AIR FORCE I SAID. If even national heroes do not get any bit of empathy from their wives, why an average woman would feel any of it for her average husband ?
No assets, no custody, every damn responsibility still. Sometimes men would have the obligation to SUPPORT THE CHILD OF ANOTHER MAN. That is an absurdly high amount that you'll pay for the rest of your sorry life, it will cripple you and whoever wasn't rich enough to just roll with it and guess what ? Most people aren't rich enough.
And now, look at the divorce rates, the western world is at an all-time high and plenty of developing countries who adopted similar laws to the west are seeing a very similar pattern.
Again, entering a relationship with a partner with a loaded gun and simply wish she'll never use it is one of the stupidest, most reckless things a man could do, unless you believe in unicorns.

The law will take any fallout from the situation and hold it against you because male. The fix is in with the system and a lot of males are learning that at an earlier and earlier age and making the decision that women just aren't worth it.
What the feminist cause has accomplished is to put women in a position where the potential liability they represent outweighs any positive potential they may present as partner or lifemates. She's all cool now but 30 years down the road you're used goods and she walks with half your pension, among other many things.

If men walked, it's over. Back to the stone age in record time. Woman have not a single clue how it all works. Zero, zilch, nada. The cascading effects of that ignorance would be catastrophic beyond comparison. A single relay can bring down the entire electrical grid. Technological ignorance of the complexities of systems and machines would lead to nuclear meltdowns, widespread food shortages, disease, communication decimation, warning system failures for weather, massive deaths due to fuel shortages in subzero climates. And other interconnectedness of hell not even fathomable.

And at the same time, if all women worked, men would die in huge numbers do to the lack of medical care and children would go uneducated and uncared for. Neither seems like a good idea, but you clearly seem like a total idiot.

No ignorance here. Woman's intelligence is broader on the bell curve, ie more smart woman. Men have more geniuses but also more dunces. That is if you believe the stats. And I do. I'll even go as far as to say they can do almost anything a man does and do it better - barring physical strength. But they never will.
I'm not debating the capabilities of woman. What I'm saying is that if men walked tomorrow then woman would be fucked. There is not even remotely enough capable woman to run the exiting infrastructure created by men. The deaths would be close to extinction levels.
If woman walked tomorrow then men would roll over hit the snooze button and go back to sleep.
There might be some deaths from immediate shortages of nurses but they would be filled at breakneck speed. Children uneducated? Please? Strange how in the only part of history where woman have dominated the education fields the corresponding dropout rates and test scores have dramatically dropped among males. And correspondingly when men ruled academia the achievements of mankind were staggering.

Nothing illogical or unreasonable about my original comment. It is cold truth with no warm, fuzzy, feelies attached. I didn't attack woman's innate value as a human beings. I stated what I believe would be the reality of the situation. If you or woman find that degrading then deal with it. I find woman's lack of response to videos like this and the acceptance of the bullshit of feminists, quite degrading. So if I sometimes challenge their center of the universe mentality, then frankly I don't lose much sleep over it.
What I find more degrading is the continuous, relentless, bombardment of men as useless, obsolete, sub par, woman raping Neanderthals, that need to "man up" to woman's demands. FUCK YOU. If you think woman aren't in for the worst ride of their lives without men then I will write you off as full fledged fuck-tard right now. If you think that is sexist or denegrading, then fuck you again.
Because reason has emotive context attached to it doesn't make it less reasonable, just more likely to stick in the minds of woman. Logic and reason are all well and good and should carry the day but you don't sell the steak without the sizzle, especially to woman. And if you think that you are going to be more than a fart in the wind with your Klingon approach then you are kidding yourself, because woman don't respond to it as a whole. (Woops was that all sexist). Karen has her own style and all though it's more subtle she does emote and appeal to emotion both verbally and expressively.
You know what I find sexist. Men and Woman. General broad differences that scientists are finding more and more of day in and day out. But lets all pretend that were all exactly the same. Instead of maybe accepting and trying to tailor our differences so they best enhance each others and societies chances of fulfillment.

Men don't need a place to talk about father's issues or suicide, unemployment, male rape victims, representation of men in media as violent bastards or idiot fathers (in sitcoms) because we don't get fucking cat-called? Is this woman having a laugh?
This is like a man ranting at a feminist meeting that women don't need spaces to talk about women's issues because women don't face problems in the Family Courts. Now doesn't that sound a bit disingenuous!?

    • @magicsinglez
      @magicsinglez 10 лет назад +1

Well, women Don't need space to talk. All the men genuinely wanting to protect them or needing to agree with their causes, in the hope of becoming 'friends' with them, makes in unnecessary. Women have always been protected in society. Too bad we've had to destroy men, first, in order to realize they might need protections, too. At what point will women move to help protect men? I hope that day comes because then all that violence that they deplore (benefit from) will begin to leech out of society.

When I was in elementary school a young lady threatened to beat me up over something that happened during a dodge ball game. I honestly don't remember what it was. But, I can say I was truly bothered by this. I thought if I were to get beat up by a girl, I would look like a complete wuss. However, if I beat her up, I would look equally bad. When I got home I told my mother what had happened and asked her what I should do. She told me that I should NEVER hit a lady. But any girl who would be willing to ball up her fist and strike me was no lady. lol Luckily, the fight never took place. :)

    • @CazRaX
      @CazRaX 6 лет назад +8

I was taught more or less the same by my mother, never hit a woman but you damn sure better not let a woman get the last hit.

    • @RJMx-zz8nq
      @RJMx-zz8nq 6 лет назад +8

A woman can hit me all she wants and I'm gonna laugh in her face unless it's like Rhonda Rousey or a trained female assassin. Fellas please play it cool in these situations. It's a lot like play fighting with children and your goal should be to never hurt them physically.
Sure there is some remote chance of her seriously injuring you if you're not careful so be careful, be very careful.
The blocking techniques taught in Krav Maga are very effective you just do not combine them with counter strikes. The punch absorption techniques taught in Systema are another option but I find that simple deflection techniques, like not allowing their punches to land squarely by using subtle dodging maneuvers are more than adequate when dealing with a physically weaker opponent.
A little jujitsu is also fun to do, just use their energy and redirect it harmlessly away from yourself. Wrestling them to the ground and pinning them is also easily accomplished but I think best used as a last resort say if your attacker is relentless and is possibly going to hurt themselves otherwise.
If your intention is to do no harm great unseen forces are marshalled to assist you in your efforts as they are aligned with the Will of God. Why On Earth would you seek to harm another individual? In the higher spheres of life it is unthinkable as our oneness is fully understood and harming another is seen, truly, as harming oneself.
On the same topic if a woman hits me it is still an assault and I can see no reason why she would not be charged and convicted of this crime. The law does not define assault as a man who physically assaults someone it is any person who commits the violent act on another person. Women who commit violent assaults need to be charged and convicted period. All are equal in the eyes of justice that is why she is depicted as being blindfolded. I cannot for the life of me see why so many do not consider that when a woman hits a man it is not committing assault. I wouldn't be ashamed in the least testifying in court against a violent woman who assaulted me wether or not she was able to do great bodily harm to me as the next person, man or woman, who is the target of her uncontrolled violent outbursts may not be so lucky.
As I said earlier and I cannot stress this enough, great care is needed as every situation and every person is different. Please, if you are in this situation, call on your higher guides to assist you in finding peaceful solutions and if conflict is unavoidable ask for assistance in doing no harm to anyone and yet coming out smelling like roses yourself. I know from many personal experiences how effective this is otherwise I would not have taken the time to write this lengthy post. And remember to use the power of your words. As I matured I found that 99% of fights were misunderstandings and that physical confrontations are easily avoided if you will simply seek to do so through words and understanding. In the remaining 1% ask for God's protection and act out of love and compassion not anger for what comes around always goes around. God bless the whole world y'all.

Yeah, report her. I take all my education from the Internet and movies, and it worked great for the aristocrat in the slums when he got syphilis-riddled Anne Hathaway put in a hospital jail in the Les Miserables movie starring Wolverine and Gladiator.
In all seriousness, though, file a complaint with the police. It really is the right thing to do. Most cops see this crap daily and unlike Gladiator do have a pretty good sense of what is bullshit and what is real. You might have to suffer a chuckle from them, but the majority of police that I have met in my life are good men. There are so real rotten tomatoes out there as well, but chances are where I live that the cops you encounter are good men and some women, with a sprinkling of the couple to avoid or leave a complaint with their suggestions box.
Of course, it's all academic for me, as I've never been hit by anyone since 4th grade. And I can drink now. Legally.

Speaking of the gap in sentencing men vs. women in the U.S. I have a personal story. I'm a male nurse, and was working in an area where I was the only male, and one of the few white people. The first day I worked it the operating room I was eating lunch a woman who was going to be the first woman executed in Texas in decades said, "I didn't do it!" A black female in the break area said, "Look, she said she didn't do it!" I made an inflammatory comment, "You know what the problem is? Not enough women are being executed!" My point was that there was no problem with men being executed for murder, but a woman being executed- are you kidding me?" I was treated like crap for months. Much later the biggest, baddest black female nurse said to me, "I know we gave you a hard time back then."

    "Men don't get catcalled"
Not sure if it counts, but my boyfriend was often chased by girls when he was in high school and he wasn't even interested in them. He was often asked out by girls. He's a good looking, handsome guy, but also a Christian who wanted to wait till he was older to date. He first started dating me when he was 19 in college and me 18 in college. My point? Men do get catcalled, not just women. I get catcalled sometimes, too, but I don't blame all men for it. I get upset for a minute, then move on with life right after.

Im thankful that this wonderful woman is breaking the path for other women to stand up and speak their minds. Sadly in this day and age if you are a man you are hated. If you are a white man you are despised. It's scary these days if you are a woman but not a feminist. If you are a woman who see's what men are up against. Most men want equality for women. But most women want to take away from men what makes them men. That is sad. I wonder where the world will be in 20 short years. If there will be a world in twenty short years.

According to the CDC’s statistics - estimates based on more than 18,000 telephone-survey responses in the United States - roughly 5,365,000 men had been victims of intimate partner physical violence in the previous 12 months, compared with 4,741,000 women. By the study’s definition, physical violence includes slapping, pushing, and shoving.
More severe threats like being beaten, burned, choked, kicked, slammed with a heavy object, or hit with a fist were also tracked. Roughly 40 percent of the victims of severe physical violence were men. The CDC repeated the survey in 2011, the results of which were published in 2014, and found almost identical numbers - with the percentage of male severe physical violence victims slightly rising. I remember when I was in kindergarten I was on the swing set, and the swing next to me was broken with the chain on the ground. A girl in my class walked up and grabbed the chain I stopped and asked her what she was doing. She then proceeded to hit me in the face with the chain, it cut my face and broke my glasses. I started crying and the teacher came running and, before I could even calm down and say what happened the girl came up with the lie that I was being mean to her and she hit me because of that. I was the one who was punished. My parents had to spend a couple hundred dollars to replace my glasses and I was bullied for a period of time because a girl beat me up. But I just learned a year ago she was arrested and is on trial for orchestrating multiple murders, She manipulation of her boyfriend into committing them by acting as though these others were trying to harm her. Then when the police started closing in hired a gang member to kill her boyfriend. I wasn't the only boy she did things to at school over the years. but she always played victim so got away with it until she finally got to the point of murder.

I come back to this video every few months or so, since I've found it soon after it was released. I get something new out of it every time, as I learn more about the issues mentioned in the video. 11/10. Will watch again.

The black shirt girl with the question certainly didn't approach her question in the best way possible BUT you guys should have let Karen answer the damn question. Ganging up on someone will make anyone crack. Karen coulda shut her up just as easy as an entire fucking crowd giving her a hard time.

+Boarky I thought Karen did a good job w/ the girl w/ the striped shirt, who called herself a feminist, but really wasn't. I think it's almost like the trendy, obligatory wagon to jump on, and youth like that don't realize where that ride is taking them.

Please, have someone subtitle these videos to Spanish. If there was a channel with these videos of Karen Straughan, Jordan Peterson, Milo, etc. subtitled in Spanish, they would win many visits and subscribers, as there are many people who do not speak English, or who speak little English, but who are very interested in these issues and especially in what these people say. My total support for them.
    I love you Karen!

Title of this video "Are Men Obsolete" ... well if you have a tribe that was about to be invaded by a group of strong male warriors in large number, even the strongest women of that tribe would crap her pants and run to the men of that tribe for protection. This whole movement is absurd.

35:28 _"As a man of African descent and a teacher, I have experienced the negative effects of the emasculation process; it has been going on ever since we came off the slave ships. But now that that has affected white males it has become an issue. How does race play a role in your movement and how do you address the issue of privilege when you discuss men's issues?"_
    This question annoys me.
I think this is a misrepresentation of the African American community. Black family cohesion and income were a good as whites until the introduction of welfare between 1930 and 1950, at which point the increase of households led by mothers was similar to that of whites. The introduction of No-fault divorce in 1970 merely accelerated the trend for both blacks and whites.
I think the African American community were hit by a double whammy: Feminism _and_ black rights. Both organisations were infiltrated by Communists with the expressed intent of sewing discord and disenfranchisement, hence the Black Panther's well known connection with the Communist party.
I think pulling the slavery card was pretty low. The questioner did not _come off the slave ships_ and has no experience of slavery and in implying that white people didn't give a shit about men's rights until it affected whites begs the question: if it is true that black communities suffered the issues discussed before whites then where were the black MRAs? He's implying that it is the white's responsibility to initiate movements within the black community. By asking, _"How does race play a role in your movement"_ he is using a feminist tactic of demanding that everyone tip-toe around his racial sensitivities.
I also think that the history of slavery has been misrepresented. Africans were heavily involved in black slavery as slave traders because whites had insufficient immunities to survive more than a few months in Africa. It was a white movement that culminated in the official abolition of slavery and whites that enforced it by intercepting slave ships. I take no credit for this, being coincidentally white, and I accept no blame for the actions of coincidentally white people over two centuries ago.
When a particular personal, cultural or racial tragedy is inappropriately inserted into conversations I always suspect that requests for special dispensation or compensation are not far behind.

The woman speaking at 40:44 that speaks about not harming anyone; I'm skeptical. The state has a monopoly on power, so if the state gives her an unfair advantage in a situation, there's a very good chance she's merely outsourcing the violence. For example, if she gets married then divorced, the state will very likely take away her husband's assets. If he refuses, she will call upon the state's capability of violence (agents with guns, throwing him in a metal cage, etc.) to enforce her will against her husband. So she is violent, she just doesn't want to get her hands dirty.
