I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Completely Funny ! Only the thing about being single is everyone is checking up on you to see that your safe . When you don’t have have phone reception it’s like calling CIA , FBI , Local police to checked if your alive .
São Paulo is the biggest city with descendants of Italians (more than Rome) and Japanese but it has other colonies of Germans, Arabs, Chinese, Koreans ..you will easily find restaurants of their descendants. You need to know the central market. hugs

The state of São Paulo is huge, so it has everything. You can go to the coast to visit beaches like Ubatuba, Ilha Bela etc... It has the parks, Ibirapuera, Vila Lobos. Bars, Restaurants, Malls (Commercial Gardens) etc. And be sure to try the food that Paulistano likes: Pizza (Bráz Pizzaria, Graça di Napoli)
hhheeeyyyyyy... Go to Embu das Artes and the Budhist Temple in Cotia! You gonna love it! very near SP you can do both in the same day.... with a bit of more time, try to escape to either Ilhabela, Campos do Jordão or Coffe plantations in Serra Negra/Aguas de Lindoia... 3 days are enough :):):)

Thanks so much for sharing your day. We know how hard you really work, also the fun you make your day. That alone gives the best therapy when you really can unwind. Even though we know how hard you work sometimes, I especially like it when you just go with the flow which all of us need sometimes. You did good choosing that apartment, it is really nice there and easy to use being at the center of your interests. As far as what I know about the aid inside Ukraine, I can tell you that it is better now, but you are right, that's where help is needed more of now. We have a friend that we are keeping in touch with almost daily there, and so we are well aware of the situation and how difficult it is. They are stuck there because they waited too long to get out, but successful in staying safe. Odessa is experiencing some heavy bombings, so we are not sure how long before it is safe to go home, so far it is still standing. We are in central Poland right now, trying to have a calm life, but requires constant positive attitudes. That's all I can tell you at this point, I wish there was more positive news, but we are supporting the best we can just like everyone else. Alina, your video's and especially your friendship are priceless to us, and we want you to always remember that. Funny how life will deal you things when you least expect them, but to have good people around and close friendships make it a whole lot better to deal with. Thanks to you, you are important to our lives, and if you ever want to share with us, we are all ears for you. Hi Alina, The “ção” in Consolação has exactly the same sound as “são” in São Paulo. The “c cedilla (ç) sounds like the “s”, generally. Any Brazilian can teach you how to nasalize the tilde (ã)over the letter « a ». Sorry to hear about your experience in Colombia. I can totally understand your experience and emotional consequences. I, too, was robbed in Frankfurt, Germany at gun point, and in San Francisco, California as well but not at gun point. Just like you I travel the world. Over 45 countries including Ukraine. Loved your country and especially the little old ladies selling flowers 🌺 on the streets.
Hey Alina. I've been watching your amazing videos. Im American, live in Princeton NJ/USA but grew up in Sao Paulo. My family still lives there, and Im going to flight down this coming week. If you have an opportunity to watch Antony Bourdain in Sao Paulo he says something that I agree 100%. You need a local to show you around. He said he hated the 1st time and loved the second when he was with local friends. Sao Paulo sucks for the 1st time tourist.

Its pronounced Consolação not Consolacao, the Ç has a S sound and the à has a nasal sound, english does not have these sounds, but maybe it has that sound in Russian, because both languages have similar phonetics

I grew up in São Paulo (now live in the US) but, for the first time ever, I haven`t been able to pinpoint the location of your apartment.
I have never seen that park, and I am assuming that you are somewhere near Bela Vista, but not sure.
Make sure to enjoy the food there. I don`t think you can eat as well anywhere else in the world.
I have been to Canada (Toronto, Hamilton, Aalifax, and Vancouver), and I know you can eat well anywhere there, but São Paulo is a step above.

Now that you are packing your bags , if there is room there , it is time to go apparel shopping.
Ditch the malls , grab your purse and head out to the Garment District.
For better results , Bom Retiro is manageable.
Hop on the subway, either at Yellow or Blue lines ,many head out towards Luz stop.
At Luz, there are two sides of the track to step out. Avoid Rua Maua. Take the Rua José Paulino side , clutch your purse tightly .
You will have a couple mikes if wall to wall deep of apparel stores at bargain busting price a girl's girl can't resist.
Some stores cater only to wholesale buyers , others retail or both business.
Jot these three addresses down. ...

3. Rua Aymore.

From what I understand UNICEF is actually in country providing food and other necessities. Though I could be wrong about UNICEF.

I don't remember how many times I walked in Augusta St. I miss so many things in SP, the weather, the night vibe.. friends, food.. but is too crowded, everybody is always in this rush pace and the public transportation is terrible. I have being living in Vancouver for 3 years..too cold, too wet, too boring but definitely a safe place to live... so.. I think the perfect place doesn't exist hahahah and it's okay

And as an excuse on this self indulging outing , Bom Retiro has a lush public garden , and the Brazilian Pinacoteca art museum is worth the time. Saturday's are admission free.
For a decent meal , just roll down around Rua Prates and adjacent ones. Good Korean joints or your standard Brazilian fare.
If you roam the Garment District and score a few bargains , you will return with bragging rights as. It not being a Tourist . You got down with the locals and mastered the territory.

Thanks! Yes, Vlore and Berat are both great choices but I think you'd need at least 2-3 days in either to make it worth the trip. Durres is an easy day trip.
As for where I'm going after Canada, either Eastern Europe or South East Asia. All depends on how things unfold.

If venturing out at night in that area best sticking to Rua Augusta and the general direction towards Avenida Paulista. The opposite direction towards Praça República might not be entirely to your liking............
