I absolutely love this channel, getting a longer video every week on here gives me something to look forward to on RUclips. Simple Flying is a great channel but I do prefer the longer videos if I'm honest.
Looking back at this video in 2023, many of these Etihad predictions are very much wrong. The A380 is returning to Etihad and the 777 are also staying with the airline.
I think they could become a “ME6”, with Oman Air and Gulf Air becoming more and more noticeable amongst travellers and Saudia on the rise as they improve their offerings.
Saudia will never really compete with the ME3 because of its no alcohol policy. I live in the region, and know most Europeans & 'muricans avoid Saudia.
I can not compare, which airliner is best, because I did not flight with all of them, but I have very nice experience with flying with Qatar Airways in business class, B787.
Wow. This video is amazing and my favorite as well. The number 1 favorite ME3 airlines is Emirates. Second is Qatar Airways. And finally third is Etihad Airways. Unfortunately, i've never flown on all ME3 Airlines in my life because i am still 18 years old. Hopefully, i will fly on ME3 starting from Etihad Airways next year
Emirates for me cuz the 777x & the 777-300er are my most favourite aircrafts but it would have been nice to have Etihad operating their 777s and also Qatar airways a350 & the 777 again are the best of the fleets…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have not flown in an A380 yet, but 777-300 are my fav on long haul flights. I do miss the 747, the grace, the queen, loved it. I was very young at that time (747s were common ) so every time i would go wowwww…. Lol
Good video. Just to confirm the Emirates fleet - there are only x101 of the 3 class A380 (not 111). There are now 120 total A380's in the fleet, with just the final 2 orders yet to be delivered.
Some people are opiniated not factual ( you ARE FACTUAL ) THEY TROW NUMBERS AL OVER IN THE HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHEQUING, YOU DID CHECK AND YOU ARE RIGHT
It's not a bad idea really, as shrinking your aircraft fleet to only 3 types means you only have to have pilots for these aircraft only and not pilots for a million different aircraft types..... which is obviously very expensive to train them. It's a shame that they didn't go for the Neo to replace the A330 but they obviously prefer the 787 Dreamliner instead.
I remember that either last year or the year before a Qatari A340 was parked on the apron of Washington Dulles for months. I wonder what happened with that plane
Am I the only one who notice the difference in the A380-800 fleet size of Emirates in this video? The quality is usually better, hope this is the only one and it ain't going to continue in future videos.
ALL THESE AIRLINES ARE AWESOME ....IF I GIVE MARKS TO THESE.....ON BEHALF OF MY PERSONAL EXPERIANCE...THEN OVERALL ....NO:1 EMIRATES THEN QATAR AIRWAYS AND THEN ETIHAD AIRWAYS
Emirates is definitely goingbtbe strongest. Qatar has amazing service, but an arrogant CEO (Akbar Al Baker). Etihad has bad economy service, great first class service, but they are really struggling.
Excellent content ! Could you please consider making another one on future fleet Orders and comparison bw Air arabia : Fly dubai & Gulf air . (Etihad has collaborated with Air arabia for Air arabia Abu Dhabi)
I plan to fly to Frankfurt from Singapore this November. Won't be taking Emirates because all their flights uses A380 and I hate the A380 windows. Too thick. I won't be taking Qatar because its during the Qatar World Cup and their airport will be very crowded. So I'm planning to fly via Etihad which uses Boeing 787 , my favourite plane.

It's not a particularly popular and/or well known airline in the West, is it? The 3 airlines in this video are the ones that people would name if you asked them "what airlines from the Middle East do you know?" Unless you're from, or travel to, the Middle East regularly, you wouldn't think about Saudi.
Emirates have a very uneven product. Great business class on A380, lousy 2-3-2 configuration business class on all 777s; great new First product on 777s and dated, more claustrophobic First mini-suites on A380s. Showers and lounge on A380s; neither on 777s....
All 4 ME airlines future is bleak because of the 777x and a350. No one with money wants a stopover. and Emirates and Qatar rely heavily on high end and business travel which will opt direct.
