Throttle body fuse for a Honda Santa Fe where is it located
@@odismann7554Hyundai Santa Fe, not Honda!
Thanks... had same problem on my 2009 Honda Accord V6, with 150k miles... I discovered it was one of the Relays under the Hood that went bad, I just replaced the Relay, and boom my Car is back to live, and rev to 5000 rpm. driving perfect.... Thanks for this video
Jerry Azubuike what relay I have the same car
Thank you so much! The relay was totally my problem. After I tried so many other things the fix was so simple. I'm so happy my car drives normally again. One suggestion: maybe add "limp mode" to your title or description so this video can be easily found by others.
My 04 pathfinder done the same thing. Was told it was going to cost 181.00 for the throttle body. I googled and the my favorite was youtube. This is the first video I watched and that was it. Thank you so much. I love youtube. Keep posting the videos please.
Barb Burger hi i have a pathfinder 2003 too, which relay or fuse did u fix?
It was the 15 amp fuse for the throttle body runs lime a kitten. It was under the hood
Can you please tell me the exact one? Im having the same issue
Barb Burger please?
Shamil Ashraf you can look up the diagram of the fuse box online and it's the one that says throttle body it's a small 15 amp fuse
My wife just had this problem with her 2008 Honda CRV. She crept into a gas station and I told her to tell the attendant to check the relay after watching this video. He did his diagnostic and low and behold it was the relay. $90 later and the car was driving perfect. He thought she was a genius for knowing. Thanks!
How much is the Relay , and what’s the name of it?
Wow, that looks like an easy fix and not costing too much. Have 2009 Accord, just dropped it off at mechanic. (Was able to drive there using back roads at 35 mph max.) Most noticeable lag is acceleration from a stop (feels like driving with emergency brake on). Shared this video with him, so maybe can cut down on a lot of troubleshooting time. Thanks
Hey man I have a 2009 Honda what was the problem? And how much
Same! Any updates? 2009 Honda as well.
Any fix?

I have 2006 Acura TL with the same problem when driving, I feel a little hesitation, you video was very helpful and save me money getting a diagnosis done.
Got the same car and I'm having the limp mode problem I'm about to do this tomorrow
OMFG!!!! 😂 You are the man!!! I can't believe that's what was causing the whole issue I've had for the last couple days I took a part, the intake manifold checked all the sensors, put a new air filter, checked the fluids, and all it was was a missing 15 fuse
Procedure starts being talked about at 1:50 into the vid. :)
We need more people like you
thanks
He talks unnecessary and self praise
Thank you, my gosh! 🙄

Worked like a Charm, just did this to my 07 Honda Accord 2.4. My wife literally did the job, looked at the fuse, than the Throttle Actuator Control Module Relay, after telling her where is was located, and replaced with a known working Omron relay, back to normal :)
You could drive the car ? I have same problem showing vsa and check engine but it don’t allow me to choose drive gear . Can go R , neutral and parking though
This applicable only in electronic pedal system..? I am not seing this any relay like this... Thank you
I'm 77 yrs old lady who owns a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I had no idea that the RPM s represent 1000s and that we want it to go past 2000. I hope the location of those relays, etc is in same place as 2007. Thank you from Hawaii.
Hey there,
I just wanted to say thank you for making this video. I have a 2006 Honda CRV which just started doing this. I always get fleeced by my mechanic so I did a google search. Your video came up, saw the air filter fix in the comments, and did the whole thing myself. Took maybe 30 minutes. Saved me a tonne of cash and headache. If you're ever in Port Coquitlam British Columbia, let me know. I owe you a beer man.
Hi Leo, Which relay/fuse on the CRV is it?
Five Taps - I just unhooked the battery and replaced the air filter. The other thing that came up recently was something called the oil screen, which just needed an oil change to fix.
Attention: if you are having issues after this and you've checked your relays and fuses....I fixed my Honda Pilot by doing this simple, yet tedious and lucky procedure. I began to believe that there was a glitch in the system. I replaced the air intake hose and that's how all of these symptoms occurred in the video, none of my fuses or relays blew. I couldn't figure it out and absolutely nobody could help me. I knew I'd be paying a lot of money from a mechanic when it could've just needed a computer with a Honda software system. Anyways, I spent 12 hours trying to figure this out. I started the engine after disconnecting the battery for 15m. I'd recommend nothing less than 15m and every hour after that is probably better if it's feasible. Start by unplugging the sensors especially the throttle body sensor. Then ensure that nothing is leaking. Reconnect the sensors and Disconnect the air intake hose and give it a little gas. Hopefully the throttle will open up. Mine didn't. So I checked the other sensors again including the accelerator. At this point I shut the engine off and I realized 5 new codes had showed up which was the result of the tinkering. I believe what happened is the computer had corrected itself at this point while it was noticing all of the activity. Thus it reset the previous idle position and relearned this new one. The old air intake hose was cracking and actually disconnected from the throttle body. But of course there wasn't a code that popped up and i was lucky to notice it. Go figure. Dumb luck? Possibly. Remember to be very careful with the throttle body too. The butterfly is as delicate as a butterfly; do not force it. I really hope this helps or atleasts rules out one more attempt. Also if you're trying to figure out how this may have happened, well forcing the throttle body can throw the codes off. Imagine saying '5's a million times and then throw a thousand '9's in there. I don't know that's the best example but give or take at that point there's adaptivity required and when something runs at a consistent rate for a long period of time and then a drastic change occurs it could glitch.
nick bertuna mine does this randomly when I turn left but only when I turn left
Great video, I'd bet a lot of shops would say "oh, you have a bad throttle body and that will cost xxxx). This apparently is an easy fix! I don't have the problem but when I do with my Honda I'll no where to go. Thanks!!
After dropping my kids off school today I was halfway home when the Odyssey would not go above 40. Finally getting around to it tonight I found this video as the first result in my Google search. I went looking for that exact fuse and in my 2011 Odyssey van it happened to be under the hood in the big fuse box. I pulled it out and noticed that it did not look blow, reseated it and when I turned on the van I was able to rev it over 2000 rpm. So in my case the fuse wasn’t blown and I don’t think the relay was bad (not even sure how to remove a relay) but just reseating it fixed it. thanks!
that'd be the ideal way to fix everything

Thanks for video, this video saved me $500 on buying a used 05 Honda Accord. Come to find out it was just a fuse not a relay while my wife was negotiating the deal! 👍
Where did u find that fuse i have 06 honda accord cant find it on passenger side
I think my relay was shot too. It was on the fritz anyway. When it was bad, the D or P light would flash. 2018 Odyssey. This video really helped. thanks.
Have anyone had this to only happen sometimes and sometimes it runs great?
Yes it happens to me
I got a 2007 Honda Accord bought it from my mom so well taken care of and it’s Happend to me twice first time like probably a year ago and now today and I’ve never have no problems or check engine lights only for a 02 exhaust censor that’s it
Me. Right now
my pick up does that
Low oil pressure maybe
I have the same problem on my 2005 Honda Accord , will find this relay and check the fuse first. Thanks for your help , God bless
Did it work?

Mass Air Flow Sensor was the problem on my car
I hate honda throttle bodys
Gotta love drive by wire systems. They hate any interference with the throttle blade actuation. Best fix is fuse, relay and TB clean. Even though check light is out check for history etc and clear.
Enjoy your fixes George, you present them well.
Simply explained and well done. Kudos George!!!
The knock sensor was my problem. It accelerated up to 3500 rpm shut down the engine. When the engine decelerates to 3000 rpm, restart again repeating the cycle every 2-3 seconds. It could be the filter, broken airflow hoses or Mass Air Flow Sensor.
Thank you for the tip,,,,You have been a life saver,,,,I had the same issue with my 2004 Toyota Sienna, looked at all my fuses, BINGO! found the one that was fused.....car started increasing RPM once again!!! God Bless You Bro.!!!
What fuse did you replace
I would have liked to have seen the error codes (OBDII) prior to doing the repair.....
George, I appreciate this video so much !! I was going crazy trying to figure this out. Thanks 😊👏🏼
Thank you so much for making this video. My son's CR-V was making loud rev sounds and then was driving super slow. He couldn't get it to rev above 3000 in park. Do you think it's this problem? Thanks again.
Thanks man. it worked for me, sort of.... lol
I had pulled out that fuse before replacing my starter and had stuck it back in the wrong slot. Once i stuck it back it ran like a champ!
Try to change the MAP sensor.
thank you amigo i was almost getting loco! mine has 4 relays so ill be nuts for a wild!
Excellent work there. I hv a 94 Nissan venette which i do a conversion on changing out points n condenser system an put in module system. Problem is it wont rev pass 1500 rpm need ur help.
Thank you Jorge for your good advice. About to fixing Honda RPM. Problem, That’s. Exactly the problem I. Have In. my Honda car, thank you so much
RUclips University save Me again, you are an amazing mechanic. You are helping people. We appreciate you for your service 🫡🫡😂 I'm so excited This just fixed the problem with my '07 Odyssey!!! The fuse wasn't blown but I switched it out with a new one and switched the relays around and the hesitation around 3,500 RPMs went away!! Full range of RPMs now
Hello should i disconnect the battery before removing fuses or exchanging relays? Thanks dor anwering
I took my car in for a tune up then it got stuck at 3500 rpm. Any relation?
Happened on my 2012 Accord, also not able to shift into any gear. But it was intermittent.
Better that it fails like that than revving at 7,000 RPM!
My Honda 2012 accord doesn't want to shift into third gear I don't know why
Wow! I will check this out. I have a 2007 Element that my wife says is hesitating/bucking on acceleration. Gave her quite a scare on the hwy. She was quite shaken. I did notice the last time I drove the vehicle just a few days prior, the VSA light came on, but I did not have any issues with acceleration. Reading up on the web, most of these issues are related to low oil (not my case here, I checked it yesterday), Vtec switch, or clogged screen in the Vtec Solenoid. The fact that the VSA light came on and now the bucking on the highway just like your case here will lead to me to check the fuse and/or relay... One question. How do I know if the Relay is bad? I know nothing about this stuff ha ha. Thank you for this very helpful video.
Did you figure out what your problem was?
@@kvis101 Funny you mention it, because we did have this repaired. I already forgot what the fix was, but I just literally had the Element towed yesterday for the SAME EXACT THING!! Will try to update what the issue is if I can remember. I think, it had something to do with the VTEC pressure switch initially, if I recall.
@@joeschlicht hah crazy. Thanks. And hope everything works out for you.
Aww man you’re giving away PRECIOUS stealership info that they would normally charge only $1000 just to diagnose!😂 Then charge $750+ to replace the fuse. And change the the throttle body and fuel pump for no reason for $2000. Thank you, great video!
I have a rogue 2010: The car gets stuck at 2000 rpm frequently while moving from parking- in both cases, forward or reverse and only occasionally at 80 KM on the highway. It drives normally once it gets freed from this locking condition (of its own, without any intervention).
Found ur video very informative.
I have a somewhat similar problem with my car.initially it revs up good. After sometime loses acceleration. I switch off engine for sometime, start again and the car does well for another 10, 15 or more miles before losing power. It is important to mention here that this fault vanished by itself for about 2 years and resurfaced couple of days back. Could you have any tips please.
What state you live, going through the same problem at the moment
Hi.. Many thanks for the video... I hv honda accord euro 2004, the problem is when driving, the engine check light and vsa light get on, but when I turn off the engine and start the light get off..
do i need to check that fuse if my camry runs but occasionally does the 2k rpm limit
thanks for your comment. i appreciate your opinion. I just try to explain situation and symptoms as best as i can.

hi George melnik I have a 2004 Honda civic ex my car doesn't pass 4000 RPM and I got a check in engine light on I got a code p0113 intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high and I changed it and still desame what I could do

Amazing!!! 1000x Thanks
My relay is located in the engine compartment, but it was the relay.....
helped me get back to Brooklyn from 44 miles out
4:00-4:03 "you can swap these out" @relay
Will this work for Acura TL 2010?
Thanks a lot to the video, George. Mine is a Toyota Solara 2000, had the same acceleration problem with a very shaking body if I ever tried to accelerate it over 2000... Will go read the manual and see if it could be the same solution..
hi did manage to fix the problem, i have same problem
No-one can figure it out I got vtech solenoid... Replaced still does it search it and scan it nothing if this is same issue for my 2004 honda crv id lile to get a comment bk from u man and ill get that fixed as soon as I get my girl's car fixed I
Mine wont go past 2900 rpm after driving it for bout 20-30 minutes...
Hello I have the same problem with Nissan Murano 2007, do you think the problem is related to this honda you are dealing with?
I am having that problem with my honda stream absolute, what you think could be my problem?
The most common issue with these same issues are the v-tech silanoid oil pressure switch. in the same location the Silanoid has been stopped up due oil deposits. There are two types of siladoids for v-tech motors the first has a screen to keep debris out of the silanoid the second has no screen. But you can try taking the silanoid off and cleaning your or replace it but I recommend if you go that route get the entire silanoid assembly. So there is a spot on the block on all v-tech’s that the silanoid is attached by 3 ten mm bolts be careful not to strip but this will be the number one cause of this issue at hand
I have done this as well. Nothing still.
For me I have a Toyota Noah while driving rpm gone, no rev just on idle. But if I turn off and restarting goes ok. And this happens frequently specially if I went long distance.
How did u fix it man.. 🙄?
@@bobiristov8379 u can't imagine!! Believe it or not. I found the fuel pump filter was very dirty, so I replaced with a new one and everything solved 👍🏼👏🏽😁
Does this work the same for an 05 accord v6?
George i could definitely use your help i'm having this same problem with my 2002 Honda Accord wont go pass 3000 RPM and its getting worse only catches speed on a downward slope.
Sounds like a bad idle air control valve.
Clogged catalytic converter or something else causing a restriction in the exhaust.
how does it idle?
+George Melnik It's restricted and under load (driving down the road), the engine cannot get enough air in/out to develop power. At idle, it probably revs way past 3k rpms but not under load.
Unearned Wealth is your crank sensor
I have the same model but my engine light is on, not the others, and I have the opposite issue. When on the highway my rpm gauge won't drop BELOW 2000 rpm, and my ECO light certainly won't go on. If I accelerate enough then the hand will go up as normal, but when I stop accelerating it won't go all (most) of the way back down. Is 2000 rpm normal on the highway, and the engine light for something else? Or if it IS the problem then would replacing the relay fix it? As far as I can tell it's a gauge issue and not the engine itself, as I can easily slow down at stoplights, but my engine might still be running fast if I'm not decelerating- I can't tell. Thanks!
My 09 Acura Tsx starts & drives just won’t punch accelerate it rolls.. the engine light is flashing…The speed gradually builds very slow the highest it reached was 50 mph..But at Red Lights it won’t Kick
(The code reads Cylinder 4 misfire)
All of these repairs where made but didn’t fix the problem•
-Replaced Entire Coil Pack & Fuel injector & PVC Valve
-Replaced Starter & Alternator
-Replaced Crankshaft Position Sensor
-Replaced Timing Set
-Replaced Crank Sensor Harness
-Replaced VVT Solenoid
-Timing Chain Tensioner
-Valve Cover Gasket
Any suggestions on what else I may need?
Too restore the kick in the acceleration..
Hey I got a crv same issue I did the really n guess changed the relay the it was good for a day no same thing any advice?
Hi George, my Honda crv 2008 has the same issue because I don't know the exact location of my fuse box and relays
Do you happen to know where this DBW fuse or relay would be on a 2003 Honda CRV? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks for the tips. This will save many honda owners money.. God bless.
2008 Honda Odyssey owner here. I have almost the same issue. My van will rev 2000. It can rev to 3000 but it struggles to do that. Did just as you showed in the video, but no success. Any other tips could help. 😊
2009 Honda Accord with MAP error code P1129, rough idle and limp mode (won't go past 3,000 rpm).
The solution in my case was engine valves adjustment (intake and exhaust valves).
Things I have done to the car that failed to solve the above issue, replaced engine oil, new timing chain, replaced VTEC Solenoid module, replaced Variable Valve Timing solenoid, replaced PCV, cleaned throttle body, checked for vacuum leaks.
HI George, Do you have some experience also with Boxer Manager Diesel 2.2 H16 with the same symptom? My Boxer (Manager) have the same problem, What do you can recomend?

Hello George, I have the same issue with a 2006 Nissan Maxima. I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and even replaced the up stream oxygen sensor and I'm still having the same problem. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
I have done the same things too. Nothing still. Any ideas?
Remove the upstream oxygen sensor so the exhaust can breathe better. If it drives much better, then you need at least ine catalytic converter
Hi any idea what’s the name of the relay? Thanks
I have a 2002 Honda Civic and my car keeps going into limp mode, but only seems to do it during hotter months or after idling for a bit. It was happening daily last summer, but since the weather cooled off for winter there has been no problems. Now that the temps outside are warming up, it has gone into limp mode again after driving it for about 15 minutes. We're not getting any error codes and the temp gauge never goes above half. I could really use some ideas on what could be causing this! Thanks for any help at all

I have a D16w9 engine honda, and it doesn't rev past 2000 rpm when running but when I start it, it revs fine in neutral. After I run the car in gear it gets stuck on 2000 rpm and gives me the check engine light. The error code on my scan tool is p1263. I looked it up apparently it's either a faulty injector in Cylinder no 3 but it doesn't feel like the car is misfiring.

How about a 99 Honda Civic , at first the car was over heating replaced radiator no over heat , but car stalls or have to be at high rpm to get in to gear

Hi George I have Kind the same problem
I checkt the fuse, is good I swapted the relay couple times but still the engine runs very rough. Do you have any idea?
My vw Passat did the same thing all I did was brought a brand new battery and it works perfectly fine
OK, so i have almost the same issue. i get a p2118 code, and have replaced the relay and the throttle body. once I reset the codes I turn it on and the are will run fine for a little bit, then it goes back into limp mode, nothing passed 2kRPM. i haven't checked the fuse but I will. but given that is fine for a bit I'm guessing the fuse is fine. please let me know if u have anything else to add to this mystery. Im considering the pedal positioning sensor, even though I don't have a code for it, I have read that in some cases that the PPS can cause it to go into limp mode. the issue is that part is about $300. on a big if.
What about the Honda CR-V ‘s specifically 2005 model!
George thank U so much it works in my 2011 civic thank a-lot buddy
I have the same problem mine does the same thing but when I first start it up it starts at 2000 rpm and takes about 8 min for it to drop down to regular rpm and I'm wondering if thats normal cuz all the other cars drop down to normal in a min or so
Hey George I have an 07 accord three point no I just did a timing belt on it, it was three teeth off now I P0389 is showing and I can’t get it to go away I change the Kranks sensor and I also went as far as changing the PCM any thoughts
Hi I got 2006 hond stream it's goes for few minutes and speed cut off same time I put the fear in natural and start its goes Allgood anyidea wats the problem will be
Thank you!!! You saved me haha my car was having that exact issue and it’s fixed now
did it come back
I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and it’s showing me the same problem on the dashboard like your was showing but my rpm are fine, and It drives fine- only when those things are on at the dashboard and when I try to get speed my van starts to shake and when I let go of my gas pedal and lightly push on it then it drives good. Could that be a fuse or what?
My 2015 fit does this about once a week, loses engine power like this. But turning it off then on fixes the problem and it drives fine. We can't figure it out.
I have a 2002 BMW 745 and it's not revving up past 15000 RPM and not going over 10 miles an hour what do you what what Centers do you think it is
