I'm 59 and grew up in Orange county California and the fastest factory cars were the 440 Cuda dual 4 four barrel 4 speed cars. Not Chevelle's, not mustangs not Corvettes not one AMC maybe just maybe a Stage 1 Buick GX. The judge's were fast but not 440 4 speed speed fast. The Dodges and Chrysler's pretty much ruled the streets .
Just a beautiful body style. 69 was my favorite. Something about those back lights. I don't know why they don't make today's Chargers look more like this. Four doors is ridiculous.
My first car ever... I bought it before I got my driver's license had for four years until I graduated from high school. I joined the US NAVY and was stationed in San Diego then Little Creek Virginia but when I went home on leave my brother had sold my Charger 🤬 ... I STILL dream about that car.
@@sublime929You said it! I remember these cars new. If you had to pick a car to represent muscle cars, THIS IS IT. One of the best looking, meanest looking muscle cars ever. Engines all the way from the /6 to the king of the hill 426 Hemi, or 440 6 pack, 440 4bbl, same 383 4bbl available in Road Runners ,etc, etc, etc. Pistol grip and slapstick shifters. Rear wheel wells you could stuff L-50 series tires in stock. WILD dayglow colours and stripe and decal packages that had the competition scrambling to keep up. Cartoon characters like the Super bee, Superbird, Road Runner and accompanying meep, meep horn. The 68' Charger debuted the same year as the revised Stingray and absolutely STOLE it's thunder with its artform on wheels styling. To quote Bob Reed, famous SS/AA top class drag racing champion " They ain't but two kinds of people out there. Those what got Hemis, and those what wants em". Eat your heart out Chev fans and as you go back to your 76' Camaro with it's 305, think about what you were trying to emulate painting it lime green and putting that B&M dagger shifter in and the wrong offset mags that stick out inches wider than your rear quarters. Mmmm hmmm, yup.
I don't know. It is cool all on it's own. Plus, another General clone. It would be cool to see it with your own unique spin. I think it needs the full Birdsong treatment
@@SuperRyan71 There is no doubt it looks sick the way it is. I am not trying to convince him to do it, I am just saying it is an option. That is what I am trying to do now with a 69 Charger R/T. Regardless, it is a sick ride 🇺🇸
Dude I just love the satin black…my favorite color on muscle cars!! Glad you didn’t do a General clone everyone does those! Hell I have family friend that even has one!! I like the “death proof” or Blade charger look better!! Sounds good btw!

Oh Yeah 😎
My dad grew up telling me this how they ruled the streets and that’s what built my love for mopar
As a dodge 69 charger owner. This is a truly mopar sound has to be. Keep up good work 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Oh man, that is sweet! The Vector wheels just look perfect on any color Charger to me. Yours however, ticks all the boxes for me!

Damn, I love the 440! She has the rims, now all she needs is a TNT Orange paint job, an 01 on the side, and a Rebel flag on top 🤠🇺🇸
