Love the fact that this guy said cold start and he genuinely gave us a COLD START. many would have cranked her over for a few minutes before rolling the camera, but this is what I want to see, the stuff that brings back memories. during those initial cranks when she popped off a few times while he was trying to get the peddle right and you see the smoke bellowing out the tailpipes just being pushed out by the engine cranking and not yet truly running now that's what its about. I could smell that moment right through the monitor. I could remember on cold days pumping the peddle of my Ford Torino 3 times to preload that 650 double pumper and pulling that manual choke out halfway that would get it every time.
Sweet memories I love the old muscle cars and the sounds they made 396 Chevelles and Z/28s with the chambered exhaust had a great sound also!! I think it will all only be only a memory because everyone's hero Biden signed an order to kill all fossil fuel today no words.
@@paulharvey6216 I feel pretty awful about that. I'm a 19 year old trying to get into old cars but my parents are Indian immigrants who have no patience for them, which means its up to me entirely to find a way to get one. But with the Dems in power I'll probably never get a chance to drive something like this anyway after college.

@@paulharvey6216 I really do hope for the best, and that there is a future for classics like this long into the future. Oh for sure on checking websites. I have been seeing so much good stuff on craigslist lately, though the pickings aren't nearly as good as they were in 2019. Its amazing how many classics under restoration or completely restored go for sale in my area. And the pricing isn't that bad. I actually found a really nice mid 60s Mustang that mainly needed minor engine work, and heavy interior and body work for five grand. Not the worst deal I think. As soon as my parents let me grab a job after this covid stuff is over I might be able to find something like that I hope and store it in their garage, with prices returning to normal. I kinda want to swing for something better though after graduation, something like this 15 grand 69 Charger RT I saw with the SE package. Not greatest shape but I had seen worse cars be brought back from the dead online. Owning a fox body with a coyote engine might be the most feasible, fun, and practical thing for me though at this point though! And I do like a good fox body Mustang. I'll keep my mind open! Good luck to you as well!
Most definitely. There's nothing quite as unique as the sound of a cold start, even a first startup. They always sound a little unique when first turning over. Good old Chrysler!
Nah you older people just stuck in the past the shit we have now is cooler than most the shit in the past our cars now are literally able to play movies and youtube on the screen

These '69 Charger R/T with the 440 are by far the best looking ones & the epitome of what a real true muscle car should look like..."Dodge, the brotherhood of muscle"
Depending on outside temperature and how long it's been sitting, my 66 Riviera takes a bunch of pedal pumping to get it to fire so I just pop the hood and give it a blast of starter fluid in the carb...fires right up and warms up in a few minutes 👍
You can hear a compression leak on one cylinder, as it is cranked by the starter. Can't diagnose via internet, but its almost as if one sparkplug is loose, or ... God forbid, a valve is not sealing properly. It is less pronounced after it starts and runs, but still discernable. Someone needs to break out their handy compression gage, and spend a few minutes of investigation under its beautiful hood.
What a real Charger should be 2 door, coke bottle lines, not the slab sided, side profile of a loaf of bread 4 door!! 1968-70 best looking of all the chargers!!
Please stop with these videos. I have stuff to do but I can't stop watching them. In 76, while delivering newspapers on my bike at 5:00 AM I heard, and 10 seconds later witnessed the black Plymouth Roadrunner GTX scream past me on that otherwise dark and silent highway. Hooked ever since.
I'm guessing either you just got the car or you never drive it.. pump the gas fully three times before starting.then hold down half way while starting keep your rpm around 1000k. For at least 1 minute and you will be good to go. Can be tricky on cold days.
Either this is a young buck who doesnt know about feathering the carb on a cold natured engine when it needs more than the choke can provide or its an older person in the same boat. At least it had half a chance at building some oil pressure before its first lighting up.....
Ok, Sweet sounding big block Mopar but I just cant watch any more. Obviously not someone in the know, put behind the wheel by someone else who either doesnt know or doesnt care......

All I can say is welcome to America
I'd have to say this looks like Europe. Plus I don't think an American would have a 17' two-door car in a shipping container for a garage.
