Priced at - £49,995
Full Description - 1969 Dodge Charger 440 SE 7.2 V8 Auto. Full bare shell restoration and glass-out bare metal repaint just completed. Finished I Sublime Green with new black bucket seats and interior. Factory PAS and front Disc Brakes with new Magnum 500 wheels and BFGoodrich tyres. New dual 3-inch stainless steel Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust and FlowTech Headers.
Badged as an R/T along with its graphics as the builder preferred the look - and we don’t disagree. Fully restored and completed in late 2019. Restoration invoices for £41000 are contained in a huge History File which includes the Charger’s factory build sheet found whilst being pulled apart. We also have photos on file of the restoration including the fully stripped bare shell to demonstrate just how thorough this process has been. All this can be viewed at leisure at our indoor showroom in North Yorkshire.
A summery of works as follows:
Shell stripped and bare metaled. New boot floor. All new paint inside and out. New seat covers, Vinyl roof, carpets, door cards and upper bolsters, seat belts, sun-visors, kick panels, scuff panels, parcel shelf, rear-view mirror, headlining, inner and outer door handles, all door and boot weather-seals, Year One wiring loom, window and front grill trim, front lights vacuum system, wiper motor, fuel cap, all badges, marker lights, brake lines, brake cylinders, hoses and shoes, front and rear wheel bearings, Prothane bushes, SPC upper control arms, all shocks, Hotchkis lower bushings, transmission cooler pipes, fuel tank and fuel lines, steering column bushes and bearings, steering wheel, handbrake cable, high torque starter and battery. 440 engine stripped and rebuilt with new Edelbrock carburettor, inlet manifold and air cleaner. Engine painted and detailed. Transmission checked and serviced.
This is an outstanding Charger with the look of the much more expensive R/T but without the associated price tag. A well-executed restoration which the finished product clearly demonstrates and with just 200 miles since completion is ready to be driven and enjoyed for the coming summer.

Very excellent car. What is the price?
yeah
When your uncle says “they don’t make ‘em like they used to,” this is what he’s picturing.
Hopefully not wearing cheerleader shoes, like this guy.
....or the skinny jeans.
...or hands at 10 and 2.
@@mattwilsonii2098 Coming from the guy that's probably wearing khaki shorts and combat boots...
@@mattwilsonii2098 hey Matt, don’t worry once your wallet is as big as your mouth please give me a call and I’d be happy to help 😉

While in college, I bought a new dark metallic green 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, 400 cu.in., that someone pre ordered without power steering, power brakes, A/C, or rear stripe. It was a beast to steer but it was fun to drive. The 4 speed had a Hurst shifter with a bend so it was closer you. I drove it from Virginia to California. When I got to the desert, the fact I had no A/C didn't matter. I just cruised at 90 mph, with the windows open and leaned forward. The sweat on my back evaporated so fast it gave me a chill. Sold it for a new 1972 TVR. Wish I still had both.
A life long dream of mine is to travel to America and drive a black 69 dodge charger from LA to NY return, while listening to a song called *Going up the country*, before I die.
I imagine this is me in this video =) Love from New Zealand! This is awesome thank you @Retro Classic Car.
8:55, 9:09, 9:34, 11:08 - High Revs and Acceleration! :)
9:34 is the best one... thanks!
Lol nice, 9:34 is pretty good, coming from only the modern stuff I wonder what that feels like at speed, like how floaty does it get when you go faster, like my 06 rt Daytona gets floaty at 120mph but it digs back into the ground at 135 probably when the mild aero from the body shape starts to work, it is a slightly rounded brick afterall lol
Thanks for taking us on the joy ride. Not often we really get to ride along and hear the engine roar down the road.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Watching this makes me realize that an older Charger like this one would actually make a great daily driver, provided you aren’t concerned about gas prices. Appears to be a comfortable and smooth ride, and appears to handle well at normal highway speeds.
yeah
As long as reliability isn’t an issue. Doesn’t matter how much money and effort you put in, it’s still a 50 year old car, and will require lots of wrenching. If I ever see someone daily something like this I give them major props.
I dailied mine. It was awesome
Still the meanest, sexiest car ever built. A beast.
this is an example of a car build to last forever

Best ASMR video of a pure v8!
Muscle cars are the best EVER.
I'm from Brazil, so this car is just a dream 😭👍🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷😭😭👍🏻
Damn right they are!! Classic American V8 forever...
Plymouth and dodge really had the best looking muscle cars
That's just glorious.
Egregious thank you! it’s a real beauty 😍
I have a miniature of this car and I had no idea how badass it is!!
The sound is awesome! Bold, brave and powerful!
This is seriously a new level of beautifully filmed vids of classic muscle. Makes all other channels seem insignificant. Keep up the good work guys 👍
Thank you so much Paul appreciate your kind words! More content like this to come :)
@@RetroClassicCar hey retro how much does your charger cost?
I wanna own a 1970 dodge charger. They r cool cars to own. A lot of classic cars r fun to own.
They are great fun!
yes
@@RetroClassicCar yes
Beautiful Charger. The 1969 is my dream car. What I want out of it is an R/T one that's black and has the mighty Hemi. SE optional.
Good shout! Nothing cooler than a black Charger
@@RetroClassicCar You know it. Most badass American car ever.
Retro Classic Car oh yeah. Definitely. Black 69 charger is my number one dream I'll get one one day
@@RetroClassicCar hey do you know how much mpg this gets
@@ayeghosty2233 tuned right, mildly built or stock, and depending on rear gear, up to 18mpg or more
Possibly the ultimate car.
owned a 69 charger rt in early 1970's 440 magnum 4 on the floor /traded in a six cylinder javelin that was a dog drove it home from the twin cities passing everything on the road just couldn't help myself great memories
I can sleep to that sound. It’s like a new way for ASMR!! Love the color
When i was a teenager (about 10 years ago), these cars were my dream , but then i realized that i would never get one and i got into jdm stuff , well now looking at this being price at 50k i am starting to believe that i may get my hands on one some day and that in the end is not so bad considering jdm stuff and prices nowadays 😂
Its a good thing youre showing us how it is driven because ive seen so many videos of people showing off this car, but dont drive it.
Very surprised to see this being driven not on American roads, lol! Very cool to see it being used for it's intended purpose in Europe
Had to work all day, miss cruising so much. Great ride! Sunshine, colors and sounds of spring for dark winter evening:-)
Thank you :)
I’ve never seen a Charger in the UK. I hope one day you’ll drive past me! 😂😂😂
I barley know anything about cars Before I would say my dream car is like a lambo. (Don’t even know any models) but after seeing ghost rider drive this car in all black in marvel’s agents of shield I’ve fallen in love with it. What a beauty.
My 69 Charger had 383. The Queen of my Barn collection.
Welp, it wasn't until you actually started driving her on the road that I realized you're in the UK. I think if I were driving a car like that I'd want some kind of vision system... a mirror or a camera and screen... to give me a perspective down the road from the right hand side of the car. Otherwise overtaking will always be a little trickier. In any case, you're a lucky man indeed. What a beast of a car.
How to gain testosterone:
8:57
Yeah but you must hold the wheel with one hand and you are solid
@@asialeg9136 add ray ban sunglasses to complete the badassery
Wow this car's engine just idles at speed i can imagine when you stomp that pedal what sounds that engine will emit.
Wow!!!What a beautiful car . I love it. Thanks for recording
That was oddly satisfying to watch. Great upload!
What a beauty 😍❣️
Far better than the newer generation
yes of course
Best muscle car ever.
Change my mind
------------
Was so good until it was discontinued, the turned into a four door sedan. lol
no need to change your mind
My all time favourite dream car, since I was 4 years old (back in 1969). Thanks for sharing!

I will have a 1969 Dodge R/T Charger with a 440 magnum engine, in black with redline tires and black leather interior, One day. this is definitely The Muscle Car!

Beautiful American muscle car. Never seen this car in my country. I only see this car on many American movie
Really a fine one!!
Great car and a wonderful color!!
A real head-turning Beauty 👍
Thanks a lot for showing and Greetings from Austria 👌👌🇦🇹
Thank you appreciate your kind words!
Wild car man! Looks clean and well looked after.
Thank you!
It’s sooo clean, and it’s exhaust is better than the new one
Man love this car in black btw nice video man 😜
Just think right
We’re all here bc we wanna own one of these beauties one day.
But past the year 2038 we won’t be able to drive it bc petrol. How depressing is that. We are the generation that will hear the very last roar of the V8
no it will be allowed even after that it will only affect new cars you will still be able to drive an old car after that (in my country at least)
yeah ecologist EV and Euro 6 takeover fuck em all sorry for my words but i'm upset thinking this miracle that can last forever ending up in scrap for green horses of Tesla and Euro 6
Didn't pay attention and failed to realize you're in the UK. As soon as you hit the road I went "OH HOLY CRAP NO!" Took me a second. :)
Haha don't worry we are driving on the right side over here :)
Mopar, The Best! The Beast! Show, São Paulo - Brazil...Rock On The Rock V-8.
Omg its beautiful
Thank you!
@@RetroClassicCar waiting 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 🖤
One solid built car just beautiful
Damn i just want my mechanical engineering degree, a classic Charger, a Les Paul Standard, some Stones and my life is complete
My phone is vibrating from the engine, and I'm not even kidding💪
*POV: You finally have your dream car*
What an absolutely crackin car mate! Absolutely stunningly gorgeous and genuinely makes me feel like I'm livin, or in this case, driving the dream.
Thank you so much! Appreciate your kind words :)
Dang, That is one gorgeous machine!
My dream car
And the boss 429 1969
It may be one minute to the gallon but this is a timeless icon
These cars have high efficiency: in smiles-per-gallon.
love it!
I love this song.
900 horses of Detroit Muscle, *It’s a Beast*
Absolutely Incredible. When I was younger I dreamed of owning a Charger, but as of later years, it seems they're getting increasingly harder to find, and more expensive. Hopefully one day though :P
its my all time dream to own one day this car ... iam glad that you can have it :)
You can do it! :)
Left-sided wheel and left-lane is a mind-blowing combination. I'm not american neither England citizen.
it's in UK and with a USDM car
most countries drive on the Right side of the road with left steering while
Very cool!
God, what a wonderful car this is. When I start to think that it is unlikely that I can ever buy it, tears come to my mind. I'm from Ukraine.
I think out of all of the older V8 engines I think the 440 is the best sounding one
idk, the bb 454 sounds amazing, so does the 410 wildcat that buick made, and a 426 hemi bb. don’t get me the wrong the 440 sounds truly amazing
The sounds of the monster are incredible, the hydraulic system, everything, the bad thing is that the changes are automatic, and in those models (personally) they would have to be manual because those cars are from the 70s and there was no automatic
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!

COOL CAR MAN
MY BROTHER BOUGHT ONE IN THE 1970,S AND WAS NICE ENOUGH TO LET ME DRIVE IT TO HIGH SCHOOL IN 1978 TILL I BOUGHT MY 72 CHALLENGER IN 1978
HE STILL OWNS IT TO THIS DAY AND IT STILL LOOKS AND SMELLS NEW
I JUST RECENTLY SOLD MY CHALLENGER TO HIS SON
MAN O MAN THE TIMES WE HAD IN THOSE CARS
OUR OLDER BROTHER WAS KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT AT 10 YEARS OLD, I KNOW HE HAS BEEN OUR ANGLE LOOKING OUT FOR US TO THIS DAY
i feel so sorry man
the dream car!
i bet this thing is horrible to drive but puts a big smile on your face.
What a joy.
I wanna own one of these when I grow up
Great Clip! Great Sound ... one of the Best to find, so far. Friend is "jerking" at my Gaming Chair to make it more realistic for me, ... But! Mate! We cant find my PC stearing wheel and Pedals.

Old chargers are the best, new chargers are cool too but nothing beats a 69 Daytona or a 69 charger RT in Torred with the black vinyl roof that car is perfection lol
My dream car
Very crazy car , l like
It’s fun to think there was a time when they designed cars that didn’t look like garbage.
Needs a borgeson steering box 14.1 ration ditch the OE box. Summit Racing etc. Awesome Charger.
