    Great Video -- Am I missing the part where the transmission fluid lines are disconnected? Every other detail of the process seems to be covered?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  3 года назад +2

      These lines were not found on some of the newer truck such as the test truck we were using. You will see a brief mention at 14:15 about reconnecting the lines found on the older models.

    Why can’t the 4x T30 shroud screws be reused? Must we use the supplied 10mm bolts? Is it because the bolts are easier to get a wrench on? Also I don’t see why it’s necessary to take the hot-side boost tube off, the radiator comes out fine without removing that boost pipe

      You are welcome to use them if the OEM hardware is in good condition!

    Excellent video, thank you. Please answer the following question. Why must engineers make this such a difficult process?

    do you know the cooling numbers before and after thanks

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  4 года назад

      Everyone will see a different cooling number depending on location and climate, so we do not have a number to provide. We increased the capacity by 63% and the surface area by 41% so you can be sure there will be a nice drop in temps.

      Hello Les, I'd strongly suggest sending a quick email over to support@mishimoto.com . We'd be happy to see if the radiator will be compatible with your vehicle and provide as much assistance as possible to help you get it installed.

    Whats the torque for the drain plug on this radiator?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  3 года назад

      The drain plugs should be tightened by hand and then tightened a further quarter to half turn

    Will this radiator fit a 2014 Ram 5500 with the Aisin AS69RC transmission?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  6 лет назад

      Hello TermiteBenny . We've yet to have a 5500 in for testing but the product performs great in our 2500 and 3500. Unless there we're severe changes to the 5500, this should work perfectly for your application.

    • @TermiteBenny
      @TermiteBenny 6 лет назад

      Mishimoto Automotive I wasn't sure about the transmission cooler also, if it was the same size and shape for the Aisin and the 68RFE found on the 2500's and some 3500's.

      Hey TermiteBenny . That's something we'd need to confirm via testing. If you or anyone you know is in the Delaware area, and kind enough to offer their truck for testing, feel free to follow the link below.

      Talk about a small world! I'll be sure to let R&D know we have a 5500 available for testing and if they find it worthwhile, they'll be in contact with you shortly :).
