For those big eye needles...also used for loom weaving with beads...can be purchased at craft stores for a multi pack costing around $1.
If you want to make something with more pegs I recommend flexee loom links, they come in 3 different gauge sizes.

Mark your first 4
Count 6, mark your 7th
Skip 2 from 7th mark and mark the 3rd
Repeat 10 times
After the tenth time you are going to skip 3 mark the 4th
Then repeat skip 2 four more times
Do this for both outside parts
When complete there should be five unmarked pegs between the ends of the sides marked

If you tighten the bumps after that first 2 rows it should tighten the edge but it's a long and tedious process when there are so many pegs.

How wide will an afghan be if doing the regular knit stitch? So you only did a few rows then showed how to cast off? Thank you very helpful.
A regular knit stitch on the afghan loom would be 60 inches wide and then how ever long you wanted to make it. I only did a few rows in the video just to show the concept. I had finsihed the blanket not thinking to make a video until afterward😁
My loom is shaped a little differently than yours, it is more elongated and has a peg directly on the end of the ends. That will make my peg marking off center. Thanks, LR

I have a alimelt serenity loom with 294 pegs, do I still skip the same pegs as you?
Unfortunately I do not own any larger looms anymore and when I did have the larger looms I did not find the time to try and convert! I am super sorry I dont have the information to help at the moment. I will see if I can do some research and get some answers to help do this stitch on other looms!

My loom board has 294 pegs how would I mark my pegs . Would I just do what you have done please

I hated this loom and gave it away to a nursing home. I found it difficult to use and uncomfortable 😣...
you have 10 groups of 2, 3 space and 6 groups of 2 on one side the left side, and you have 11 groups of 2, three space, and 5 groups of 2 on the other, right side. Is it supposed to be lopsided like this? Or should both sides be 11 like you verbalize? or both sides be 10 then 6?

If you go up to the top of the screen in the settings sometimes you can change the captions to your language. That's what I do with Spanish video's. And I write down what to do in a notebook.
