People who say, I can crochet/knit faster than loom. Yes you can, so can I. But it won't look like this. There are lots of forms of fiber art. Of all arts. I can do watercolors faster than acrylic or oil paint, but that doesn't diminish the art of any other painters. Thank you for this video. Your blanket turned out lovely.
I wish I could have you sitting next to me while knitting this blanket for the first time!! You have a very calming voice making a stressful time less stressful!! I enjoy learning from you very much! More videos please! 🎥🎞
i just bought this online. cant wait to try it out. i crochet and have used all the smaller looms. doing a sock loom project now. thisd one looks like fun for winter boredom.
I know people say crochet is much easier. But me for a beginner this looks much easier. Different strokes for different folks. Beautiful blanket.. am thinking of getting this loom and the beanie loom. But having a toddler & an infant.. idk time is very limited it’ll probably take me a year to finish a blanket 😂.. but the blanket is very nice I love it. But that would be a big project for a first timer. But will attempt
Thank you. Great instructions! Some videos ramble on forever, but you gave the perfect instructions and made it simple. I’m a crocheted also but this is just as easy.
Wow, that is amazing. I"m not sure I could sit through making an afghan that large on a loom. Well done, beautiful and you do a great tutorial. Thanks.
Very good instructions, makes me want to complete what I have on the loom so that I can start something else. Of finish off what is there to start something else.
Don't understand all the down votes. This 2-part series is absolutely lovely! Looking forward to making this blanket for a friend who is wheelchair bound.
You are SO patient and calm. And your voice is very relaxing . I love sewing (machine or hand stitching) , it relaxes me, but i tried this and i have to admit i gave up after 12 hours and about 30cm, 10 inches of blanket loomed . I don't know how you do it . I'm a veterinarian, and i do any form of manual work requiring precision and patience to keep my fingers and hands dexterity and my focus , and though i can spend hours on surgery every day if necessary, this KB loom from hell got the best of me . I wonder if they use those S shaped looms in Afghanistan ( i assume they originated over there , hence the name) , wouldn't it be a lot simpler to do it on a straight loom ? I'm not a quitter and i will finish that blanket for my old dog before winter , but i wanted to commend you on your patience and calm .
Morgan Olfursson Did you work on at your blanket for your dog? I read your comment and it's just warming up my heart. So wonderful that you are knitting for your dog
Thank you very much for your lovely comment Gisa , i have done an other 50cm , but it is still too short , the dog is an old Labrador and he needs a bigger one , but i am still working on it and my kids are also learning how to use the loom and helping out , i got them one loom each because we got 2 extra dogs from the shelters so we are going to need more blankets ! Thanks a Lot . Where is your name from ? Scandinavia ?
Morgan Olfursson I don't really know where my name is from, but I'm from Hamburg/Germany. All your dogs will be glad about the knitting things you and your family do for them ❤ I have two cats, but I'm not patient enough for big projects. I'm more in socks and hats and other clothes. On knitting looms ans also on needles. But maybe my cats need some socks? 😁
Thanks for the answer, you name does sound Scandinavian , maybe Finnish . Oh you have two cats , that's lovely , we have a few too but they are sort of stray cats so they live in and out of the house as they please , except in winter . Fortunately we live in the mountains so the cats are safe here . Socks would be adorable on the cats but i very much doubt they will accept to walk in them . I am jealous of your knitting abilities , i have never been able to knit with needled . You must be more patient than me .
Love the information...Wish you would have lifted it up next to you to get a sense of the finished size of the blanket. Thanks though. Motivating stuff!!!
I have made several blankets since finding this pattern. I have given them out to those that needed one. I was thinking 4 skeins of yarn would be too big for a baby blanket as I have used 4 skeins and they seem very long for an adult . I just did one that was 3 skeins for a younger child and it came out still pretty good. I just wasn’t sure what 3 skeins would look like so tried it out.
I’ve figured out how to make the first row tighter! I do three rows instead of two to start and pull 2 rows over the third. So essentially the first row is doubled. Seems to do the trick
Love your videos! (I just wrote on your part one) but thought I would come here and say I just blanket #2, my own blanket this time! I used 6 skeins for mine. My cousin loves the one I made for her and baby girl last year ♡ now I have to make my son one he keeps asking haha
I just recently did a blanket for my husband and I with 8 skeins and it almost fits our queen size bed. I am so glad you like the video. Thank you for watching
Thank you for keeping this up on you tube I have saved your video so I can watch as I make mine!!! I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 tho where can I get that loom as I have everything else???
Thank you for this 2 part video - You did a fantastic job! My blanket came out beautiful. Can you please tell me the name of the cast off you used so I can write it down in my notebook?
This is all new for me I have never needed in my entire life what size yarn are you supposed to use savior making a an afghan and at any time on a project can you use Angora yard
Totally wonderful, youre very talented the only thing I would like to add is that it just was a little too quick for learning it for the first time. But I definitely will subscribe to your channel and look forward to every single thing you have thank you
Do you have a video on how to do a basic cast off on this loom ? It seems that this one is only for use after you have used the figure 8 stitch , I am making a basic afghan and can't figure out how to cast off . Your blanket is absolutely gorgeous btw and I love your teaching style also ! Thank you for any help you could offer !
Can someone please tell me why you need to skip some pegs? I can't see that it has made a difference to the pattern? Is it because it's thick you can't see it as well?
You skip pegs because it would be an uneven number of pegs and the blanket would not be an even shape. Skipping pegs will make the top of the blanket and bottom of the blanket line up.
I bought the bernat blanket yarn big balls I have 5 would that make it bigger than a baby blanket size? Really like how yours turned out want to make a adult blanket like yours. I received this loom for Christmas
i received this loom and love using that same yarn to crochey with. about how long did it take you to knit the blanket? i would love to try one this way!

These video were amazing so helpful I was able to make my little angel this adorable pink and gray blanket before I return to work.
This is really useful, thank you! And your voice is beautifully calming, thanks for the lovely tutorial...
u can use a crochet hook to weave the extra yarn so u don't have to cut close to the knot
my thoughts too ... too easy for it to unravel 8-)
I always do that. I crochet several inches through the blanket before cutting the end.
Good suggestions.. in going to try this

Looks really warm and cozy
It really is. Everyone loves it.
I'm sorry....just saw a hidden response there to my same question! Happy New Year and looking forward to more loom alongs with you!
this kind of knitting makes the blanket thick whereas when crochet not that thick. For very cold weather this one is better.
Please help me get the looming 60ince I'm interested looming it a lot easier then knitting to make blank

Excellent video!
That's so cool
I have blanket but I doing it about month with hook it look that I will never going finished the blanket. Afghan loom looks easyer
Once the blanket is off the loom, is there any advice as to finishing the bottom?
Great vlog. I have a question what bed size does this loom go up to.? Also how long does it take make this blanket? Thank you in advance
If you do 10 rolls of jumbo yarn it will make a queen. 5 rolls will be a twin. On how long it take depends on how much time you have
this help me out a lot thank you
thank you ❤❤
How long did it take you to do the whole thing? Can you show how you changed from one yarn to the next? Or do patterns?
very nice! do you have to stop at 4 skeins, does it make you? or can you keep going?
No you don't have to stop at 4 skeins. You can keep going. Four skeins makes the blanket about a twin size bed.
Do you have a video on how to do a basic cast off on this loom ? ShoShanah Woodward I have not done a basic cast off on this loom yet
Okay thank you .
Hi what size blanket did you end up with?
How would you Mark it for a larger blanket like a queen size bed?
Rachel Atkinson keep the same marks just use about 8 to 10 large rolls.
This is my first time using a loom how do I know which ones to mark
What ended up being the width of this blanket?
How long did it take you to make this? Did you take any time off or did you go straight through?
I do it on my off time. But I have been able to finish one blanket in 2 weeks. That was working on all my down time from work.
How many rows? I usually work off number of rows so saying it takes 4 to 5 balls of yarn isn’t helping sorry.
How many bundles of yarn did this take you?
How many hours did it take you to do this?
Can someone please tell me why you need to skip some pegs? I can't see that it has made a difference to the pattern? Is it because it's thick you can't see it as well?

Jennifer Fee this is 4 rolls of yarn. This blanket is about 3/4th the size of a twin size bed
Bratny911 thank you
is faster than crocheting is nice color
Beautiful
How do you tighten the loops at the beginning of your blanket?
Turned out awesome....have you made any baby blankets that you do edging on?
Vicki Thiel I have not yet
Very informative! Is there a book with illustrations?
Can you do a video showing how to add a new skein of yarn when you run out? Or is there a video that you recommend watching?? Thanks!
just tie a new one to the remaining yarn you have hun once tied on just snip the extra away
Verry Nice and beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you
totally new to this.. but why did you skip certain ones?
How many balls of yarn did you complete thus blanket?
4 to 6 large balls for a twin size bed. 8 to 10 large balls for a queen
Thank you so much that is so much helpful
@@keri9965 you're welcome! I hope you have a great time knitting!
Hermosooo!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What size gauge is that loom?
What are the measurements of this please. I am trying to decide which S loom to get.
It depends on how many rolls you use. 4 large rolls makes about a twin. 8 to 10 makes a queen
@@B-Crafts I was looking for the width. If doing rake style is it only 30inches?
i received this loom and love using that same yarn to crochey with. about how long did it take you to knit the blanket? i would love to try one this way!
This blanket took about 3 weeks. But it depends on how busy I am during the week.
thank you! 😊
Hi. I love these videos. Can you tell me what the width is knitting this way? Thanks.
It depends on how many rolls you use. 4 makes almost a twin size. I think I did 10 and it was almost queen size
@@B-Crafts does it kind of stretch out when you finish it? I have a friend that has requested a blanket. She wanted the bernat velvet, I know not the best. Would that yarn work with this stitch?
@@brittneyforeman2088 its doesn't stretch to much. I haven't worked with the velvet yet.
Ok. Thank you
How do you continue when ending a yarn and starting a new skein?
Cross-Stitch Addict to add another skein tie the two ends together.
very nice.
Just found you and subscribed!
Thank you
how much yarn did you use for this size ?
Twin size is 4 queen is about 8 to 10
Thank you for doing these videos! Now i wish I didn't have the afghan that is the full length with medium weight yarn on mine!! It's taking forever! Can you tell me what the final dimensions of this afghan are, please?

Bratny911 Bought 4 big balls of this yarn but different color today. Hope mine looks as good as yours when done.
Pamela Henson the yarn I used was 1 roll that was a mix of colors.
How big is that blanket I was wondering
It depends on how many rolls you use
