  • Great way to begin flat panel knit items on your CinDWood looms that won't curl is to use a garter stitch to start. Video shows how to cast on using the ewrap method followed by a row of purl and ewrap using a slip stich edge to create a nice braided border. Also features a technique to help speed up doing the garter stitch!

    10:13. Thank you so much for that knitting hack. It makes my yarn work up faster and relieves the monotony of doing the same stitch over and over. I always knit this way, now.

      5/8" works best with the bernet blanket yarn

      I used a Zippy Loom with 8 racks and a connector peg at each end. This blanket has held for much longer than the 3 that I made with thick and quick yarn.

    It would be helpful if you’d explain your pearl process. I could see what you were doing but it went so fast I couldn’t figure it out. For people who already know what they’re doing this may be sufficient but for a newbie it was a wtf?!!! moment.

    This video was a bit harder to follow for me, the teacher seemed to struggle a bit with the yarn and loom. But all in all a good video.

    I wish that y'all would explain better what you are doing when you are purling. I see it, but not understanding what you are doing. And it would have been nice if you were finishing a row before you started anither.

    I'm trying to make a blanket with panels. I don't want the edges to curl. I'm doing it all in e wrap. Can I do the slip stitch for the edges without alternating between e wrap & purl?

    • @cindwoodlooms
      @cindwoodlooms  7 лет назад

      it will still curl unless you do a few rows of alternating knit and purl.

      CINDWOOD LOOMS wouldn't that make it look different from the rest of the blanket?

    • @cindwoodlooms
      @cindwoodlooms  7 лет назад +1

      yes. It is best to have a garter edge around the whole blanket if you don't want it to curl. If you do the entire thing ewrap it will curl for sure. you can also do figure 8 double panel wrap which does not roll.

    Don’t watch I could not figure out how to do the purling

    • @Hopeguz3
      @Hopeguz3 5 лет назад

      That’s a horrible way of doing it but you’ll pull the working yarn under and pull it up with your fingers because the hook is difficult and use the new loom on the peg.
