    It’s a beautiful pattern. After the third try I finally figured out 2 things:
    Cast a lot of extra peg as this knit shrinks, second always finish with purl and then knit - this ensures that both sides look the same.

      Yes, this is a modified Garter stitch edge and doesn't roll

    I've done this stitch on regular knitting needles before. I had no idea that it could be done on a loom as well. Good to know.

    Attempting this on the 18" AIO to make a scarf for my Mom.
    Tried the large gauge 48 peg loom but it just looked wrong in a flat panel. So went smaller gauge.

      Some stitch patterns are not interchangeable from flat to round. It needs to be translated. You would need the written pattern or check out the hat pattern video.

    im 13 years old and i've been loom knitting since i was 5 years old
    but there still much i dont know lol! i was saving up my money for a new loom but then my dad came home and saw me looming a toy squirtle and he said:"oh you like to crochet?" me:" yeah i like to loom knit".and he said :"wait I'll be right back!".he went to his car and came back in the house with 50$ dollars worth of looms that his friend at work gave him!!!!!yay!!!!!!! anyway im making a sweater will this pattern work for it?

      I finished the torso part of the sweater but unfortunately the loom i used the pegs are small and spread apart quite a bit so didnt turn out so good, so im just using a mermaid stitch instead (:
      but i think the chinese wave is great for making blankets on round looms or the kind your using, so thx! (:

    Hi Denise. Thank you so much for yet another awesome video. I wanted to ask if I can use Bernat Blanket Yarn with this pattern, making a twin size blanket. I just didn’t know if it would have the same beautiful look due to the thickness of Bernat Blanket yarn (weight category 6. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi Denise, I love this pattern, made the hat on a circular loom. But on this one, I am confused about the end stitches and what to do with them at the beginning and end of each row. Could you explain? Thanks!

    Hi Denise, thank you SO much for your videos-you have taught me so much! I made my first loomed hat from your tutorial, as well as a few dishcloths. I was wondering if you could do a start to finish tutorial on how to loom knit a tea towel (the kind that hangs from the stove). I have found a pattern for one-but I don’t really know how to read them.
    Hopefully this is a project that your other viewers would find interesting too!

    Why is row 4 different with the additional pearl stitches? Would this pattern work if you simply repeated rows 1 and 2?

      +Nancy Phillips I used an eWrap with one row of Uwrap - then I tightened my loose loops from the cast on. There's a link in the description for a video on how I start

      Hi Heather - you need to cast on an odd number

      the only difference in row 4 to row 2 is that you start with 2 purls instead of 1 after that the rows are exactly the same.

    Could I use this on a rectangle loom and go all the way round to make a blanket? Also that alternate method at the end, does it create the stitch the same? Thank you x

    Hi denise, first i want to say thank you so much for your videos they are amazing 😊.. so im using 23 pegs for the second row on the last peg do you end with a (wyif) and on the 4th row last peg with a purl . Or should i use 25 pegs and the last peg on the way back just knit ??

    Making the flat panel, isn't the 2 purl, slip 1, purl 1 being basically a purl 1, slip 1, purl 3 all the way back?

    Hey its sham and i was wondering can you use this pattern to make a hat i make hats and things and i really didn't see a hat project for this particle stitch and i hope that i could make a hat because i feel that if i can use new design i can sell more hats .

    Started this last night and by morning I realized that I'm doing it on a 41 peg loom and it's not the beautiful knit that it should be. I am assuming it has to be on a loom with an even number of pegs. How can I knit this on a 41 peg loom and make it come out right. This looks like it would be warm and as I knit for the homeless, that's important. Thanks

      Hi Dawn - this pattern actually needs a odd number of pegs. It may be the yarn that you're using. If you're knitting in the round - the pattern is different

    Im wanting to do this pattern using cotton for dish cloths or washcloths. Im using a martha stewart loom. Mine is just not looking like this. Im new to looming but after my recent heart attacks my hands just cant quite hold the yarn as i used to when knitting or crocheting so the loom is actually working better for me. Any suggestions as to what i might be doing wrong

    I can hardly wait to finish the hat on hat loom (my favorite loom), so that I can make something with this new pattern. Btw, what kind of yarn did you use for your how to video? The texture looks nice and soft.

      Hi Susan - actually that yarn was given to me by Oriental Trading - was generic with no label. I try not to use yarns you guys can't easily find - but I really wanted to use red and this was all I had.

    I forgot to mention one thing, once you reach on the end of the 2nd row what to you do, because last thing I did is slip through the back not the purl.

    The pattern worked perfect but the left border did not look like the right border. I have tried 2 times, it really got me down 😢. I did it on a 5/8 circle loom

      Keep in mind that this is not a project pattern- it’s a stitch pattern. To have the same edges, add your own. I usually like to do two simple knits but to keep fabric from curling a garter or seed edge works GREAT 😊

    Can anyone please tell me, are the two extra stitches (one at each end) NEVER worked, or is it just the cast-on end? I'm a little confused as to how many stitches to cast on exactly...
    #ETA: Ok, I have re-watched the video - the 2 'anchor' stitches (one at each end) are NEVER worked, so it's an odd number of stitches, PLUS the 2 anchor ones? Oh boy....

    Can someone please, PLEASE tell me how the heck to cast on like that? I want to use a rectangle loom, but NOBODY tells you how to cast on like that and turn back without it all falling apart!

    If I'm making a flat panel do I need to add a knit stitch to the end of rows 2 and 4 so that I can slip it when I turn?

      Hi - to do the flat panel you add an extra stitch to each end that you will use as a constant knit stitch and as a turning stitch.
