It’s a beautiful pattern. After the third try I finally figured out 2 things: Cast a lot of extra peg as this knit shrinks, second always finish with purl and then knit - this ensures that both sides look the same.
Thank you so much for explaining the way easy way. I have so much to learn and yours is pretty much very clear understanding throughout the video.. 3 thumbs up I mean 2, I only have two hands. Keep up the great fantastic work.
Thank you Denise for all your videos!! Attempting this on the 18" AIO to make a scarf for my Mom. Tried the large gauge 48 peg loom but it just looked wrong in a flat panel. So went smaller gauge.
Some stitch patterns are not interchangeable from flat to round. It needs to be translated. You would need the written pattern or check out the hat pattern video.
im 13 years old and i've been loom knitting since i was 5 years old but there still much i dont know lol! i was saving up my money for a new loom but then my dad came home and saw me looming a toy squirtle and he said:"oh you like to crochet?" me:" yeah i like to loom knit".and he said :"wait I'll be right back!".he went to his car and came back in the house with 50$ dollars worth of looms that his friend at work gave him!!!!!yay!!!!!!! anyway im making a sweater will this pattern work for it?
I finished the torso part of the sweater but unfortunately the loom i used the pegs are small and spread apart quite a bit so didnt turn out so good, so im just using a mermaid stitch instead (: but i think the chinese wave is great for making blankets on round looms or the kind your using, so thx! (:
Petra Briseno love your story. Love you’re creative. Love your dad. Now you will never have cold children if it came down to life and death you’d know how to keep people clothed and covered. Just an FYI of the value in these skill types!
Just started knitting this pattern into a scarf in a nice soft charcoal. This is totally my new stitch pattern (hahaha... until Denise goes and posts a new one)
Hi Denise. Thank you so much for yet another awesome video. I wanted to ask if I can use Bernat Blanket Yarn with this pattern, making a twin size blanket. I just didn’t know if it would have the same beautiful look due to the thickness of Bernat Blanket yarn (weight category 6. Thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Denise, I love this pattern, made the hat on a circular loom. But on this one, I am confused about the end stitches and what to do with them at the beginning and end of each row. Could you explain? Thanks!
Hi Denise, thank you SO much for your videos-you have taught me so much! I made my first loomed hat from your tutorial, as well as a few dishcloths. I was wondering if you could do a start to finish tutorial on how to loom knit a tea towel (the kind that hangs from the stove). I have found a pattern for one-but I don’t really know how to read them. Hopefully this is a project that your other viewers would find interesting too! Thank you again for your videos 🤗
you all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Vikki Carter How can I get my other download for the month with the video hun? I cannot remember how to get after the deadline. As always, I LOVE all of your STITCH PATTERN TUTORIALS and VIDEOS! You are one incredible woman Denise, and I am forever in your debt for all that you do for us out here in Loomy Land!! Thank you sweetheart and God Bless you Vikki Carter
+Nancy Phillips I used an eWrap with one row of Uwrap - then I tightened my loose loops from the cast on. There's a link in the description for a video on how I start
Could I use this on a rectangle loom and go all the way round to make a blanket? Also that alternate method at the end, does it create the stitch the same? Thank you x
Hi denise, first i want to say thank you so much for your videos they are amazing 😊.. so im using 23 pegs for the second row on the last peg do you end with a (wyif) and on the 4th row last peg with a purl . Or should i use 25 pegs and the last peg on the way back just knit ??
Hey its sham and i was wondering can you use this pattern to make a hat i make hats and things and i really didn't see a hat project for this particle stitch and i hope that i could make a hat because i feel that if i can use new design i can sell more hats .
Started this last night and by morning I realized that I'm doing it on a 41 peg loom and it's not the beautiful knit that it should be. I am assuming it has to be on a loom with an even number of pegs. How can I knit this on a 41 peg loom and make it come out right. This looks like it would be warm and as I knit for the homeless, that's important. Thanks
Hi Dawn - this pattern actually needs a odd number of pegs. It may be the yarn that you're using. If you're knitting in the round - the pattern is different
Im wanting to do this pattern using cotton for dish cloths or washcloths. Im using a martha stewart loom. Mine is just not looking like this. Im new to looming but after my recent heart attacks my hands just cant quite hold the yarn as i used to when knitting or crocheting so the loom is actually working better for me. Any suggestions as to what i might be doing wrong
I can hardly wait to finish the hat on hat loom (my favorite loom), so that I can make something with this new pattern. Btw, what kind of yarn did you use for your how to video? The texture looks nice and soft.
Hi Susan - actually that yarn was given to me by Oriental Trading - was generic with no label. I try not to use yarns you guys can't easily find - but I really wanted to use red and this was all I had.
I forgot to mention one thing, once you reach on the end of the 2nd row what to you do, because last thing I did is slip through the back not the purl.
The pattern worked perfect but the left border did not look like the right border. I have tried 2 times, it really got me down 😢. I did it on a 5/8 circle loom
Keep in mind that this is not a project pattern- it’s a stitch pattern. To have the same edges, add your own. I usually like to do two simple knits but to keep fabric from curling a garter or seed edge works GREAT 😊
Can anyone please tell me, are the two extra stitches (one at each end) NEVER worked, or is it just the cast-on end? I'm a little confused as to how many stitches to cast on exactly... #ETA: Ok, I have re-watched the video - the 2 'anchor' stitches (one at each end) are NEVER worked, so it's an odd number of stitches, PLUS the 2 anchor ones? Oh boy....
LoomaHat.com Thanks for another great stitch/video Denise! Two more questions 1.is all #4 worsted considered medium or are there different types of #4? 2. If working in the round is the cast on same as flat panel, odd number of pegs?
LoomaHat.com you inspire me, and you are my personal hero. I love what you do and I love the way you make it simple and easy. I wouldn't be creative if it wasn't for you.❤❤❤
Can someone please, PLEASE tell me how the heck to cast on like that? I want to use a rectangle loom, but NOBODY tells you how to cast on like that and turn back without it all falling apart!
It’s a beautiful pattern. After the third try I finally figured out 2 things:
Cast a lot of extra peg as this knit shrinks, second always finish with purl and then knit - this ensures that both sides look the same.
Ok thank you, will keep trying. I made the Chinese wave hat, so I want a scarf to go with it
Yes, this is a modified Garter stitch edge and doesn't roll
Thank you Denise for another great video tutorial. I love the stitch and the easier version of the slip stitch you gave us, thanks!
Thank YOU for the Thank you Carrie, I really appreciate it !
Thank you so much for explaining the way easy way. I have so much to learn and yours is pretty much very clear understanding throughout the video.. 3 thumbs up I mean 2, I only have two hands. Keep up the great fantastic work.
I've done this stitch on regular knitting needles before. I had no idea that it could be done on a loom as well. Good to know.
Thank you Denise for all your videos!!

Petra Briseno That's such a cute story!
That is AWESOME ! Come back and tell how it turned out !
I finished the torso part of the sweater but unfortunately the loom i used the pegs are small and spread apart quite a bit so didnt turn out so good, so im just using a mermaid stitch instead (:

Petra Briseno--you are a DOLL--keep up the great work, cuz no telling how far someone w/ your talent and initiative can go!

Wow! Excited to try this stitch. Will try it first for a scarf then want to see how it will look as a throw. Keep up the great video's.
+Kent R Thanks Kent !

What kind of loom are you using for this project
So the Sl1 yif is the same as a purl over? Looks pretty!
Hi. Love watching your videos. Can I use any loom or should I use the type you are using in this video?
This particular stitch pattern looks good with any loom
gostaria de saber esse flores que acabei ver a. professora fazeno e náilon ou papel pois não endendo a fala dela.

WOW Angela - thank you for asking I have been BIG time thinking about doing one. ... It may be a few months but I will do that project.
LoomaHat.com thanks Denise! You just made my day!!! 🤗🤗🤗
@@LoomaHat did you make the video for the tea towel? If so, could you post the link? Thank you so much! God bless!
you all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Davis Conner Instablaster =)
Why is row 4 different with the additional pearl stitches? Would this pattern work if you simply repeated rows 1 and 2?

I'm excited to try this stitch but not sure which cast on to use.
+Nancy Phillips I used an eWrap with one row of Uwrap - then I tightened my loose loops from the cast on. There's a link in the description for a video on how I start
Thanks so much! I can't wait to try it tonight!
Nancy, I just used a chain cast on and it is sitting really well and looks great with it. :)
Thank you!
Beautiful , can i use any loom for this stitch ?
If you were to slip wyib, does that mean the pattern will be mirrored on the the other side of the project?
Beautiful stitch. I can't wait to try it.
Thank YOU Susan !!!
can this stitch be done on a larger loom? I have a infinity loom and the openings between each peg is more
+Brenda Watkins Hey Ms B - yes you can and it looks beautiful!
Would it look okay using a wider gauge loom?
Yes Jan - it actually looks really good with a large gauge loom
When doing this stitch for a scarf, do the edges curl? I'm trying to find a good pattern to us for infinity scarves.
Hi - nope this pattern does not curl
Could this be done with the ewrap knit stitch? i'm working on a large project and the uwrap is too time consuming for me.
I believe you can she just like using the ewrap
I’m a beginner, I would like to knit a 17x17inch cushion cover, how many pegs would I have to use please
Good presentation as always. For any project joe many stitches? Any number divisible by 2? Thanks as roe 4
Row 4 a bit confusing if you have 2 stitch part. Sorry did not finish query and first msg sent.
Hi Heather - you need to cast on an odd number
the only difference in row 4 to row 2 is that you start with 2 purls instead of 1 after that the rows are exactly the same.
I want to use this pattern for a hat I'm doing on a 31 peg loom, so how would I in corporate row 4 into it with only the first 2 peg being purled?
Where can you find that Loom you got in that video?
Could I use this on a rectangle loom and go all the way round to make a blanket? Also that alternate method at the end, does it create the stitch the same? Thank you x

Making the flat panel, isn't the 2 purl, slip 1, purl 1 being basically a purl 1, slip 1, purl 3 all the way back?
I'm using the same loom and weight of yarn you have but I can't keep my stitches from being too tight. Help!
Can't wait to try this! Moving in couple weeks and have all my craft stuff packed up☹
Dawn Haug Briggs when I moved I packed mine last, I never pack my crochet hooks. Congratulations on your move 🎈🎉
Kim Howell I know - what was I thinking!🤤 Think it was my other half's idea to get temptation out of my procrastinating mind!😉 lol
That is too funny and sounds too familiar ... :)
Would it be good for a blanket
I'm having problems with the cast on. Do you have a full pattern?
Hi Sussan … This is a full pattern of the stitch - it’s not a project pattern.
Denise, congrats! You're DA best! I love looming with variegated yarn. Would this stitch show up as well if I make a blanket?? Smooches 😚
Linda - this stitch is very textured - I believe it will look just as great with variegated as with solid
Love that stitch. So easy. Can't wait to try it :)
Thank YOU Jan !!!
Hey its sham and i was wondering can you use this pattern to make a hat i make hats and things and i really didn't see a hat project for this particle stitch and i hope that i could make a hat because i feel that if i can use new design i can sell more hats .
Hi Sham - I do plan to make a hat with this stitch but its a baby hat. It should at least help you get the idea.
That will be great

Can you do an e wrap with this?
It depends on the loom and the yarn. Watch this video to see what that looks like studio.ruclips.net/user/videoB_vKBp2NxwM/edit
Love 💘 you do super work ❤
When I do the slip knot my project look terrible do I need it help

Thank you for the info, I have used their yarn and I like it.
wow it looks really soft. does it feel like just acrylic?
It's pretty good for the price - not to rough
Wonder full job can you make a baby dtess on this loom please with shell stutch thank you
I forgot to mention one thing, once you reach on the end of the 2nd row what to you do, because last thing I did is slip through the back not the purl.
Sorry but I purl the second last one. Do I knit the next one? Or purl that one as well.
The pattern worked perfect but the left border did not look like the right border. I have tried 2 times, it really got me down 😢. I did it on a 5/8 circle loom

Oh boy....
Hi can this stitch be used to make a hat?
Hello what is the thickness of the yarn?
It's a medium #4 worsted
LoomaHat.com Thanks for another great stitch/video Denise! Two more questions 1.is all #4 worsted considered medium or are there different types of #4? 2. If working in the round is the cast on same as flat panel, odd number of pegs?
+Intervention Strategies Yep - odd number of pegs
How do you cast on for this
Hi Dawn- It depends on the project. This is only the pattern for a stitch- not a project.
Beautiful!
+Phyllis Middleton Thank you 😊
Do you have a pattern that uses this stitch?
+J. Baker Hi J. , working on a washcloth- will be available on Etsy and Patreon in about a week. Links for both in the description
Can you make square chest dress please thank you
Oh wow!!!!❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
Thank you my Friend !
Hi Melissa - this is a stitch pattern and not a project. Projects dictate the cast-on - for a better understanding here is a video goo.gl/CkaVEo
Salam j aime bcp tes vdios merci beaucou
My edges just don’t look good
Are you skipping the first peg when you turn?
If I'm making a flat panel do I need to add a knit stitch to the end of rows 2 and 4 so that I can slip it when I turn?
Hi - to do the flat panel you add an extra stitch to each end that you will use as a constant knit stitch and as a turning stitch.
