Kia ora Denise, I'm watching from Aotearoa (New Zealand). 1st of all thank you soooo much for this wonderful pattern & also for a very well, explained, easy to understand tutorial, you did a awesome job ❤ I'm going to make this for my sister inlaws 60th birthday 🤞❤
Wonderful pattern, thanks so much you never disappoint. Your videos are always the best.
Thank YOU Sally !!!
I am not understanding how she does the two
Ends
Beautiful stitch😍. It would make a lovely scarf or blanket. Thank you for sharing.
Love this pattern! Zigzag is also a good guy scarf. I have a baby blanket on the loom right now (using the Ridged Ribbon stitch) and will put this pattern on my list for future projects.
I love how this pattern is turning out so much that I adapted the flat pattern for the round and I'm making a matching hat. Doing it with "koala fuzz" yarn in hot pink and gonna have little pom-pom tassles on the scarf. Not terribly hard for beginners like myself either, so that's awesome. I tried someone else's pattern for a hat with zig-zags and it wasn't nearly as nice as this nor were their instructions as clear.
❤
I'm sooo happy with this tutorial I wasn't sure if I could do this pattern on a loom now I can thanks to you!!! Thank you such your so talented!!
Beautiful! I'm going to try this for next project on afghan loom!
Thank you for the video. You make it really easy to do. Will be my next project
So happy this is out! I love this design! ✨❤️
Thank YOU Lindsey !!!
I love this stitch so much! Thanks for showing us.
Lovely pattern. In the video (6:02) for row 9, you stated K1, P1, K1, P1 but written for that row is K1, P7, K1, P1. I’m pretty sure the correct one Is the K1, P7, K1, P1. I don’t mean to be picky but I’m still fairly new to loom knitting & want to make sure I have it right. I love all your videos and usually come to your channel when I want to try a new stitch. Thanks for all your hard work.
Yeah - sorry - use the written pattern
You make it all look so easy and neat‼️ Sometimes mine looks like a bunch of knots. 🤪
I hear you - sometimes mine do too and it takes a lot of knitting before I figure out why 😆
Thank you so much for this new project! I love it!🥰
Terrific pattern so glad we have you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Denise for your pattern, it seems to be pretty easy to follow.
It is 😁
So I don’t need heavyweight yarn? I could just use, for example, a large skein of carron yarn ? I only have large gauge looms like you.
Can’t wait to try this pattern!!!
Had me confused but I went by what was printed and worked out. Turned out pretty nice
I have gotta try this pattern!
That looks great! Thank you for another lovely video. I'm going to try it with some chenille that I've just got.
Please will you do a sweater/ jumper sometime? I've looked around but I'm still learning and all the videos I can find would need adapting, and I'm not good enough for making adaptations yet!xxx
Masha Allah
Really its so nice scraf and excellent pattern. I want to use this pattern in 36 pegs loom for cap. Can I use same pattern, are there is in change 36 loom
Thanks I love this stitch. Please show how to do the stockinette chevron found on Pinterest. That one stumps me.
that so nice you do a good job all the things you make l guess you took classes to do these things.
I Love all videos ❤️❤️
Hello when you read out pattern it showed purl 7 but you said purl one then later you said knit one but on screen it says knit 7 I am guessing the screen is correct? New to looming and i am going to try this soon :)
Please Follow the Written Words on Screen

Thankyou again for another fab pattern Denise, I see this as a really smart hat and scarf set. 😁 Also I'd just like to say that's a lot of working out to get a pattern just right and this is a biggie, you must have a computer for a brain. 😀
Thank YOU 😊 Do keep in mind that the video only shows the flat version. In the round (for a hat) is different.
i would love to do this pattern but not sure how to cast on. Please let me know which you did.
Can this be done in the round for a slouchy hat?
Would this work on a smaller gauge loom?
Woo, I have to make that one!!
Hello Denise ,
Do we follow the written pattern or the verbal because there are two mistakes between the verbal and written.
Thank you
🤗🇬🇷
Hi - keep in mind that there is a pattern for the flat version and for the version in the round. Can you tell me where the error is - which row?
Row 9 and 14...😉
Didn't want to start before I was sure which one was correct written or verbal. Thank you again 😎
@LoomaHat.com if there is no cast on or cast off, how do you get started???
Awesome
I have the pattern for in the round and was wondering how it works it it was a 24 peg loom. Thank you.
Hi Angela, it's been awhile since I did this pattern but it depends on whether the pattern needs an odd or even number of pegs and how many stitches are in a single repeat and how many times you're wanting to repeat it. I hope that made sense
How do you start knitting?
Can I do this on a rectangle loom? And how do you cast on and off?
Will this pattern work for a beach themed blanket? Where it looks like waves; is there a better stitch? Im having issues with the chevron stitch.
I suggest doing a Google image search for loom knitting stitches - then you can choose the one that best suites you.
I’m really confused, I followed the pattern exactly on my even numbered loom, but no zig zag pattern appears. It just looked like a bunch of random rows? I did the first 20 rows so far
If you followed the pattern exactly then the reason could be because the fabric is still on the loom and stretched wide. You will see the pattern better as you continue to knit and the fabric contracts. Also make sure you’re knitting flat and not in the round.
LoomaHat.com okay, I did use a bulky yarn as well. Is that going to affect it and make the pattern harder to see?
No - I’m actually knitting a cowl with chunky yarn using this stitch. I will be posting a picture on Instagram when I’m done.
LoomaHat.com I tried this pattern for a hat and mine came out really weird looking, would love some guidance. I sent you a message on Instagram! Really would appreciate the help if you have the time, I’m just learning
Hi there - as I explained previously - the pattern in the video is for the flat version of the stitch. I don't do both the flat and the in round. Videos are VERY time consuming so I have to choose between flat and round - I have found that flat is more helpful to most ppl. The written pattern includes both flat and in the round. www.etsy.com/listing/731915938
is there a way to do this on a long boey loom?
I was wondering can I use ewrap instead of knit ?
Hi Sherri, I don't suggest using the eWrap because the stitch won't show up the same with a loose stitch.
Just double checking but you said ROW 9 K1 P1 (but you wrote P7) I'm assuming it is a P1 also seeing as it is K/P 1 for all stitches on that row?
I also noticed the same thing for row 14.
Follow the written pattern
Oh no ... please follow the written words. I rushed through the voice over
Thank you Denise. I usually only knit for a local homeless shelter but I'm going yarn shopping, for myself, tomorrow so I can make a scarf with this pattern. Thank you again for sharing it.
Each row set should add up to 10. It would be P7.
Will this same stitch pattern work on an S shaped loom?
Hi Hope! Yes… the flat version of the stitch (back and forth) works with any shape loom. 👍🏽🙂
I'm going to do this in the round from your round pattern but Am flummoxed as my looms are 36 or 41 pegs so I don't know what to do with the extra pegs
Can anyone help please xx
Much love xx
Hi Ann - u ya oh can just repeat the last stitch on the row. You won’t notice the difference in the pattern
@@LoomaHat thank you so so much. I kind of thought that bit didn't want to wreck it!! You're an angel xx
BEAUTIFUL MRS. DENISE UR R GREAT & HOW R U DOING
Doing well - feeling very blessed - thank you SOoooo much for asking. Hope all is well with you 😊
Would this stitch pattern work well in a hat and gloves?
Hi there - It would but this is the flat version and it doesn’t translate to in the round. The written pattern has both - there’s a link in the description for my Etsy shop. I just can’t do a video for both versions.
@@LoomaHat Thank You I'll check out the Etsy store.
Could I use thicker yarn? Or is a pattern that meant for worsted Yarn?
Yes you can use thicker - follow the link in the description
Oh good because I don’t have much of worsted weight yarn. And when I make blankets I prefer to use thicker yarn.
Yarn wool tight rakhna h ya lose plz tell me
Plastic round k uper yarn ko lose rakhna h ya tight
row 14 you said P1 ,k1,p1,k1 but on the screen it is written p7,k1,p1,k1...clarify please
This is a 10 stitch repeat pattern so you must work 10 stitches . No matter if knit or purl the number after must total 10. Once you understand what the repeat is the error is easy to know. She spoke a tl of 4 stitches , the screen shows a TL of 10 stitches which is correct.
Nice what can I make this? Can I make a cushion cover...could u give me a pattern for cushion covers
Hi Shrada- yes you can make a cushion cover with the stitch - sorry I don't have a pattern for one but will consider it for a later time.
@@LoomaHat thank u
You don’t have any books in hard cover or paperback?
Not yet 😫😭😢
Do you have any suggestions for a project that this can be used for?
I did the pattern and video for a blanket stitch series. It will work well for anything - scarf, washcloth, hat - anything
@@LoomaHat Thanks
I tried it and it didn’t work for me, I did about 17 rows and realized it wasn’t like the pattern. Never had this happen to me before
Did you stretch the stitches. Sometimes stitch patterns don’t “show up” until you knitted enough fabric and stretched it. Hope that makes sense. 🌼
Could you please do a video for a kitty ear headband? =^-^=
Also I can’t hear I am deaf and the caption didn’t work
Hi Sherri, sorry about that but I don't caption all of my videos. Captioning is very expensive, average is $2-3 per minute and the stitch pattern videos don't have high volume viewing. But the pattern is written through out the video and there is a written pattern available in my Etsy store www.etsy.com/listing/731915938
Row 9 K1 P7 ....... Not P1 ...... K1 P1
