    • @meeks6798
      @meeks6798 7 лет назад +6

      start like an inch or two away from your roots and do roots last. heat from your head makes the bleach develop faster so your roots would end up being much lighter than the rest of your hair

    • @shannonallison9144
      @shannonallison9144 4 года назад

      Absolutely not. You never do them first as the process much faster and it will turn orange at some point. Also you should really never use above 30 developer on your hair

    I ATTEND AVEDA COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL.
    hmmm interesting. We were not taught to start in the front if you are going darker and vise versa. if you are going darker then you would want to start in the back because the hair in the front is normally more fragile and porous and will GRAB color way more quickly causing a darker color than desired because its reallly soaking up the color and you dont want your bottom half of hair to be lighter than the top because that's unnatural looking. & if you are going lighter you want to start in the front because if you were out in the sun you would be lighter on the top and in the front of your head.

    • @lisaaragon

    Sylvia, first of all I love your channel, and I have watched it multiple times to gain more advice and confidence when coloring my hair at home. I am getting better and better however, a few months ago I really messed up and put way too much bleach in certain areas, the last time I highlighted I was able to break up those sections into smaller pieces and weave highlights throughout so it does look better. However, I now have these sections that are very bright and don't exactly match the tone of my other highlights. I've also had the problem (when touching up my roots) where the top is blonder than the rest of the (old) highlight. Do you have any advice for getting the color to all mesh and be the same, do I just need to tone (haven't done that yet this time) please help! Thanks!

    Hi :) I ve got another question. I don't know if you can help me because no one not even hair dressers could help me yet. I tryed all the drugstore colors and the last time I dyed my hair with a professional salon hair dye . So my natural hair color is black .. and everyone tells me that I 've got too many red pigments in my hair ... My dream color is a natural light brown without red. . I hate red .. I try to lighten but also to save my hair. So I used always a medium Ash blond hair dye but it always turns out in a red or orange light brown .. I hate it .. I don't know what to do ..after that I dyed it 3 weeks later again with a medium Ash blond and it's the same red light brown color ... can you help me ?? I mean it should be just a light brown .. not a blond why is it so hard ? :(

      You just have to tone it! Blue is the opposite of orange, so if your hair comes out orange again, use a light blue semi permanent dye to tone it. The blue will cancel out the orange tones and you'll get a light brown!

Please tell me how I get your colour blonde, my colour sucks i have done it myself and have really damaged my hair Im still not at my desired shade o blonde its too yellow and light golden in some places what can I do not to damage it further but to get a colour more like yours? Thanks too I love your vlogs.

    • @kimbrooks5419
      @kimbrooks5419 8 лет назад +1

      +Rose denyer you will most likely not be able to get that color if it is already really damaged. The best option is to just keep toning it with VERY pigmented purple shampoo & leave the purple shampoo on for about 10 to 20minutes until it turns into an ash color. Ash colors will only work for your face if you have a cool skin tone. example Blue veins , & blue eyes, grey eyes, hazel

      +Jessica Walton blue normally fades to a green so i would stick to purple. Just get a really pigmented purpled shampoo and you should be fine, I personally like to mix paul mitchell and shimmer lights purple shampoo with aussie miracle moisture conditioner (3.99) and works amazing. this will be less damaging than the toners you are using with 10 volume. My hair is white. I dont have a updated default picture on youtube to show you.

    I think it would've been helpful if she put a bit of water on the brush so you can see the coverage, but I'm here because I don't want my mom to dye my hair because I'm mad at her

    Hello beautiful, I have been reading comments and watching your videos, I know at one point you used toners T11 and T18 now you answered you are ONLY using T18. I love your color is like platinum/blondish (without yellow tones), I wonder if you are still using ONLY T18 and if you have ever tried T14?? The T14 is the one I was going to use next for my after my first set of highlights last Saturday using T18 and T11 like you before:). My roots are 8N and I am trying to lighting it up and I have gray hair a lot too:(. Thank you for your vids, I am glad I found you!

      if this is your first time toning I would do the T11 & T18 first to be safe. If its too sandy it may not do anything to your hair, if its too ashy may be too gray. :)

    What if I'm doing bleach, do I still start from the roots?

      Go back to candle cove Candle cove if it's just roots touch up and it's only about half an inch yeah if not then nope you start away from the first half inch of the head then the roots as you'll get a band where the heat from the scalp has lightened the bleach (hot roots) and have a weird banded look to the colour
