How to drive safely. How to pass
This video is filmed during a driving lesson. It is filmed for educational purposes.
Throughout the video there are highlights to show how you should be driving safely.
I hope this video will be useful! :)

Erin is so funny
"Oh my god, why is the steering wheel upside down?"
Erin has improved so much, she's more confident & chatty than before. 🚗
Erin, I started learning to drive aged 42 and passed the test within a year. I was as nervous as you can imagine. I had no car of my own to practise in and learnt with an instructor the entire time. I just want to say you’re doing great, you have an excellent instructor, just keep practising and you’ll get there. I still watch these videos daily, they are helping me improve my skills. Thank you Aman.
This gives me hope! I’m 38 and learning with an instructor only too!
@@humma2533Good luck! Stay positive and keep practising. It gets easier after each lesson.
Most learners done have another car to practice, so driving lessons are the only place they can. A little bit of visual aid with these sort of videos can definitely help
I feel like I’m still learning new things every day :)
@@ClearviewDrivingthank you for all you do.
I'm 31 and learning without my own car too, def is frustrating when life means I have to have the occasional week off so can be a while between getting behind the wheel but I find watching this videos and doing the 'analyising' without the pressure of driving really helps when you get back into a car, clearly it goes into your subconscious somewhere!
I just want to say thank you Aman as I passed my driving test today with 3 minors thanks to your videos! They are a huge help and have very good tips! Come on Erin, you’ve got this!
Congratulations 👏
Amazing!
To anyone struggling with driving, I thought I would never see the day that I would be holding my pass certificate. For two and a bit years I've been leaning off and on due to changing instructors and moving to university. I had been told by my first instructor to switch to automatic because he thought it would make it easier. However, I persisted with manual and carried on. Since moving away to uni I found an amazing instructor who helped me grow so quickly as a driver. Even getting getting the point to take a test was huge for me. Long story short, I passed today with three minors. Don't worry about not passing the first time, it happens. Just keep being proud of what you achieve, no matter how small you might think the progress is. You can do this.
That’s so sweet 🥲 glad that you found a more suitable instructor! Well done on the pass and YES never give up! Well done again 🥰
hey i got 3 minors too! 😁 congrats
I love this story! And I can’t agree more. I passed my test when I was 30. I was terrified of driving, and couldn’t even imagine holding the pass certificate… ever!
I passed on my third attempt, and let me tell you, being unsuccessful twice really put me off of trying a third time. But I did! And on my third attempt, doing a test in a completely different area, I passed with 4 minors. The examiner was baffled, asking me how I don’t have a license yet 😂 and 4 years later, here I am, with well over 150,000 miles behind me, and I LOVE driving! Just give me an excuse and before you can say “shall we go?” I’m already in the car, engine running, waiting for you to hurry up and get in the car with me.
I’ve been to the northernmost point of Scotland, the Southernmost point in Cornwall, and everywhere in between. It’s a huge responsibility, but a phenomenal feeling of freedom, too!
Seeing how Erin started and how she’s progressing, I wasn’t much different myself either. I know she will do it! And I have no doubt whatsoever that she will be an amazing driver! Calm and collected, even in stressful situations, learning from her mistakes, and getting better and better every time. That’s what’s driving is all about. I’ve already subscribed to Aman’s channel, but I wouldn’t mind subscribing again, just to get the notification of Erin passing her test!
Bless her she's getting more confident and a bit more chatty , good to see
Watching Erin's progress encouraged me to try driving lessons again. My instructor definitely wasn't good and always went on his phone but I found someone new and I'm hoping to progress quickly!
I definitely relate a lot to this. My first instructor wasn't the best at teaching me but when I recently looked for an instructor it was soo hard to find one for my area but when I did find one, I was soooo happy because not only did I find one for my area, I found an amazing instructor who explains everything details so I understand everything more than I did and I am so grateful for that
@aichabelhocine1231 yeah! I was really worried to stop with one instructor but after hours I had no progress I understood nothing and felt belittled. My new instructor is promising. He makes me park up to the side every 10 ish minutes to talk about the drive, any questions etc. Whereas my old instructor never ever did that. He'd come 30 minutes late and drop me off home early and still expected full pay
Glad you’ve found a new instructor! Good luck :)
Don’t give up
@deanna6731 oh wow! That's ridiculous. Glad you found a new instructor
@@deanna6731I had a similar instructor. He always needed a 5-10 minute toilet break before my lesson and stopped 5 minutes early. Never explained things well, was bored and never left feedback at the end of the drive. My new instructor/school is so much better!
I love erin, she is too funny 😁😁
Great videos. I don't know why youtube recommended them, but they've inspired me to start learning to drive again after failing miserably as a teenager
I've Passed my driving test today with zero minor fault. Thank you guys.
I just love Aman, a teacher who always got her students back. I have learnt so much from just seeing her videos.
Thank you 😊 glad the videos help
i passed my driving test! now i can watch these videos stress free :)
I’m a learner too, my first time I did a roundabout I was so scared i was shaking. After a full lesson on them again and again I now do them without thinking, it’s daunting at first as it’s shall I go when can I go am I going to get around okay but she’s doing a fab job!
Dear Erin,
I just want to say, having watched Aman’s videos and shorts of you learning, I have absolutely zero doubt that you are going to be an excellent driver! Why? Because you make mistakes. And the only way to really learn something is by making said mistakes and learning from them. Through that process you are also learning the most valuable skill you will ever posses: the ability to correct mistakes safely when they happen.
I’ve seen many drivers who zoomed through their training, passed their test with flying colours, yet were struggling when eventually they did make a mistake and didn’t know how to get out of the situation.
So don’t be nervous about making mistakes. They are very useful! Go ahead, make mistakes! Learn from them and become an amazing driver! Because I know you will be, and I also know that when you’re on your own, and you make a mistake, you’ll correct it like it’s nothing!
Personally, I’m excitedly waiting for the news saying that you passed your test and have your license! And when that happens, if by some astronomical miracle we end up driving next to each other, I’ll know I have nothing to worry about because you’re one of the best drivers out there! 💙
Aman, all I can say to you is THANKS ❤ I just passed my test first time with 5 minors in Bedford by watching your videos. The utter joy I’m Feeling!
I cannt focus if Skinny is talking......need an agly teacher....
I can see the improvement, You got this Erin.
Thank you Aman for posting your videos on RUclips. Watching these videos will no doubt help me and other learner drivers. I think Erin's confidence as grown immensely. She'll make a good sensible driver.
Thank you :) yeah Erin’s definitely getting more confident and it’s great to see
Keep your focus Erin and don't get frustrated i'm learning to drive myself just take in everything what Aman is teaching you as she's a brilliant instructor and stay relaxed you can do this.
I believe she will be an excellent driver when she takes the licence. She goes really well.Nice pedal work also handles the pedals really well.
I've been learning to drive on and off for a while now but this year I have really tried to focus on driving and have now got to a point where I feel I could get my full license. I've done a few tests and haven't been successful so far but I am not giving up as I have been so nervous each time and it seems each time I don't pass it gets more nerve wracking. Trying to take the pressure off now as I've been desperate to get my full licence for some time now and that's probably causing the nerves. I love watching your videos Aman, these driving journeys are very helpful too. Erin keep pushing your doing an amazing job.
Your instructions are really on point, as well as your ability to reflect. Awesome👍
im yet to have a lesson but lucky enough to have a mate who is teaching me what he can and when i say you're a great driver i mean it i wouldve shat myself in some of those situations so good job!!
👏👏 I don't know why but I feel really proud of her. Is it just me? Well done Erin 👍👍
Thanks so much for your videos! They have been amazing for me- I passed my second test today with 2 minors and since my first test I only had a few lessons in between but mainly watched your videos, so thank you!!!
Brilliant well done! 👏🏽👏🏽😊
Aman you are so amazing thank you so much I enjoy watching your videos
You’re videos are amazing to watch
You will get there Erin! Aman is an amazing instructor for you! :)
And yet I learned something new about reverse bay parking 😅
If Erin scans the road more and is aware of her surroundings, she'll improve. Has Erin done a mock test?
I'm doing driving lessons atm, so these videos are helpful, thanks Aman!
Comon Erin you can do it! we belive in you! Just Do It !
She's really good instructor and I wish I had her for past weeks in my driving lessons plus she's pretty and well spoken ❤😊
I'm so gald you have this channel putting these vids out there helps me so much I enjoy it and I'll be driving on the road for the first in my next lesson this helps me alot
Thank you 😊
Everyday is a learning curve u will get there erin good luck girl.
You're doing well Erin, it'll all come together. You've had scary bits today people racing about in the 20's, big roundabouts and parking between cars, you handled it all really well.
She’s coming along nicely 🥰
I always watch Erin’s lessons before my lesson! I also drive in London and there’s so many hazards😅
love these videos. hi Erin :)
Erin, you're doing great with a fantastic driving instructor 👍
I have been watching your videos and passed my test today with 4 minors at 27 years old, I have been scared to drive for so long and finally did it today - These videos have been really helpful! Thank you.
Amazing!! You should be so proud!!!!
Amazing well done!! 🥹💕 thank you for watching
i passed my driving test yesterday and your videos helped me out alot! thank you soo much!
Amazing well done!!
I passed with 2 minor! Thank you for your effort! It’s really help a lot!
Brilliant 🤩 well done!
Thanks for sharing your videos I just passed my practical exam this morning with 2 minor faults, those videos help me alot
Well done! And thank you for watching 😊
I had to go suddenly at the beginning of the video live. So I am going to watch how Erin has done and if you ended up in Oxford together now.
Rewatching your driving video when learning must not be fun 😂 ey Erin props
16:55 very late braking and then also on leaving the roundabout, going towards that grey van
glad you pointed the slowing down point after because I know this is something I did a lot when nervous or after not driving in a while and it really is much easier if you give yourself time. Of course it's stressful with large vehicles behind though
Love this xx
I passed today, got some much help from your videos. 😊
Well done! 💕👏🏽👏🏽
Great video
You're doing better than you think . All you're needing is practice. Roundabouts as approaching and slowing watch what's happening on it and also cars approaching from the other exits. With a bit of luck you won't need to stoo
I must say the examiner was extremly nice . He was like it was a definite pass if you had not done that.
Erin’s my favourite 😅😅😅
I passed on my second attemp thanks to you and Erin 😅😂
I remember once pulling away in third n because I had good clutch control it didn't stall, the instructor was like, well wrong gear but we'll done for not stalling it
Did she come back from Mexico for a driving lesson, Aman is elite if true
5min 33 oh jeez Louise 🤣
Don’t know if it has been mentioned but you are applying the clutch first before breaking, brake first then clutch, just keep that in mind
Hey yes I’ve mentioned this, she’s usually good with this but at low speeds it’s not as big of an issue
I find Erin beautiful and kind.
Please upload longer videos 🤫 20 minutes doesn’t scratch the itch lol
watch the older ones or you could try don't watch for a few weeks and then you have a bundle to catch up on I guess :D
Erin you can do it 🚙
I have been unsuccessful for 3 times... I am more nervous each time but I am never giving up. The 3rd time I could have passed easily but for a very silly mistake I have done led me to a dangerous and serious fault altogether! It is so frustrating as the route was easy. Being nervous doesn't help. I don't know how to control it at all. I don't know if I need to quit now or continue with this driving dream of mine... 😢😢😢
“The roundabout how was that?”
“….no”
😂😂😂😂😂
😭
Thank you for your videos! They help a lot! But I must say, on my last driving lesson (I’ve had a lot of them, and been so good that my instructor said that I was in top of his list) I suddenly regressed so much and started doing silly mistakes that I’ve never done before (even my instructor was surprised)! Not sure if it’s because I started feeling confident with driving or it has something to do that I finally got my test booked in a month time… Feel a bit discouraged now and thinking of changing the test. Any advice from lovely people?
You've got this. Before my test even this morning I was making really silly mistakes but managed to pass. Honestly the lessons before my test weren't great. Your never going to be a perfect driver, even they know that, but as long as your safe you can do this. There's plenty of opportunities to retake as well but have faith in yourself and try your best.
@@innesanderson798 thank you, that gives me hope. And congratulations on your pass!
Just try to focus on one road at a time, most learners make mistakes even on the day of their test.. and that’s okay, just try to stay calm and it will become more natural the more you practice :)
@@ClearviewDriving thank you!
I'm some really annoyed with myself had been learning with an instructor since last yr September. Took my second test yesterday and was driving so well ..got only one minor but guess what I choose not to stop for a red traffic light at a junction. 😢 I'm so annoyed , frustrated and angry with myself.
Firstt
Love video
11:31 no way the car screen turns the lines at the same time you moving the wheel, thats crazy
i am pretty sure its standard
it's normal in new cars
@@Ultrapro011 yeah its so cool, it helps sooo much
Erin plspls dont use Clutch and then break, break enough and when you about to stop cluch and change gear
i do this already but why?
I have seen erin before in other driving school RUclips channel have you?
How many driving lessons and how long do you have to have in the UK? Curious because it seems like a lot less in the US!
There is no minimum number of lessons in the UK. In fact you’re not even required to take any lessons. You can have a family member or a friend teach you, provided that they have had their license for a minimum of 3 years. You take your test when you feel ready. The only restriction is that your theory test certificate is only valid for 2 years after passing. So you need to pass your practical within 2 years. If you run out of time, you will need to do your theory exam again.
Another thing to note is that while a learner driver is at the wheel, the friend or family who’s teaching you, legally becomes your instructor. They must pay attention at all times, not use phone or take calls as if they were a passenger (they are not), and… that’s about it.
But no, there is no minimum for how many lessons you must take, nor is it a requirement to take any at all. Although it’s good practice, if you have been taught by a friend or family, when you feel ready, take a few lessons with a certified instructor and see if there is anything they notice and want to add to your learning.
@@CelestisForgeUK Interesting! In the US, or at least in my state, you can take a written test to get a permit, and it’s good for a year, but if you’re under 18, you have to wait at least 6 months to take the road test. You also have to do 24 hours worth of online driving school and 8 hours of lessons behind the wheel. But the test in the UK seems much more difficult even if there are less requirements to go take it!
When you set off in first on a roundabout which is busy the requirement is to speed up. A lot of learners stay in first with the engine screaming depress the clutch lose drive and then the left hand tries to find the gear lever while the car slows down. Not the best way to change up and accelerate.
Yes so in those cases it’s always better to just speed up and just accelerate quickly. I always say to my learners to focus on the main task at hand. If they have 2 or more things to do.
Prioritise the most important thing and then do the rest. With time they will be able to speed up and get a good timing on the gears so it doesn’t feel overwhelming
Erin hates her roundabouts and so do I, I hate them tho I can handle the small ones and mini ones
One of my students was sooo nervous, when I said "at the next roundabout......" She farted silently. 😂😂😂 Very smelly. And then I said take the 3rd exit then opened the window 😂😂
when is Erin's test x
Hello
Do you know how I can get earlier cancellation driving date in Norris green Liverpool please 🙏?
18:27 lmaooo
How many Lessons has Erin had so far?
In her first ever episode she said she had 10 hours prior, so maybe 23-25 lessons I’m guessing
18:30 cutting the corner , please cover these mistakes even if this is not a mock test but for a better learning experience for viewers.
11:13
18:29 People like that annoy me when I'm learning to drive. Especially since he flashed relatively late and then swung his arms about as if we're going to pull off within 2 seconds as a learner.
Super hot.. more gas pedal views!!!
erins a cutie
you're like 30 relax
0:10 anyone see the DB11 on the left
She is cute too Skinny!
Bay parking?? We're not in the US 🙄
