Thanks for the compliment and the rec, and glad I could oblige! My daughter texted me late last night, a couple of hours after I read your suggestion, that I should do his vid. So I looked into it and was like, oh heck yeah! This kid has a story that has to keep being told. Thanks again! P.S. I'm a Rutgers guy, but I have a fondness for Clemson since one of my "adopted" daughters and her parents went there. Good people!

If you listen to the lyrics, he sings about having a good outcome with a girl "in 5 years". This is perfect, because a known artist would sound really stupid singing these lyrics. If you've listened to his interviews, he's talked about not liking to take so many pictures, he's told Ellen his biggest dream was to be known around the world....he's said he has a girlfriend, it's puppy love C'mon give the kid a break. But these are just a few things written in the song THAT HES ACCUALLY TALKED ABOUT. THE KID IS 11....We thought we knew what love was back then. Remember Michael Jackson singing "ABC" it was about being with a girl, but a bit more sexual and he was perhaps younger than 11. Don't be so critical and really look at lyrics before assuming he's wishing this as an adult would mean it to be. I learned about this kid in only 2 hours, watched a few interviews and damn, I could relate him to the lyrics as him looking into the future.
I wasn't being critical, as that's not my nature at all, just trying to figure out lyrics on the fly. You're coming at me pretty hard when you say something like you did. I haven't got two hours to investigate every artist and then put in the 90 minutes it takes to record, edit, and upload each video.
he certainly has talent - but up to his close family and friends to make sure he goes on right road being so young - agree with the non rating xxx

don't see why people keep pointing out that he's 11 singing about a girl. He obviously didn't write the song, it's not about him. When he talks about the song he describes it being about a man who wants to be famous for loving a girl.
