I also have a very hard time just doing a tree, pine etc. Do you have any tips on that also? Thanks again 😊

I have a razor tip burner and I can’t even out lines straight line! Lol I’m new and I am not getting the hang of this burning! I’m trying to write a name with the ball point nib and it’s a mess! Either burns or you have to go over a couple of times
Hi! It took me about 4 months of practice to get consistent/straight lines. What kind of wood are you using? And is it sanded well?
Sometimes it's not the burner, but making sure you are prepping wood and using the right wood.

Hello , thanks for showing the different tips used. My question is the pen made of plastic and can the pen burn you fingers or hand and how long can you hold it for ? thanks
The pen is made from different materials, the metal tip can burn your fingers, but you hold the pen on the little rubber part to be safe. Every pen feels different, some get hotter quicker than others, so it just depends. I wouldn't burn for over 1 hr without giving the machine a break though. Hope this helps!

Hi... one of the best ways to use each nip and heat setting!! Question: How do you prepare and sand the basswood bark wood. I wood burn pet(s) and pet memorials. I am having difficulty to " shade very Lighly" especially on nose, eyes, and mouth. Looks Not to sure if my sandpaper grit is to high (300-600) and/or my same Razortip SS-D10 is not working or my nips. It doesn't seem to work on heat levels 3 1/2- 4 1/2... Is that too low? Thanks!
Hi! Most of my basswood comes already sanded and prepped (from walnut hollow), but if I fill like it needs a bit more sanding I use 220. The only suggestion I have for shading lightly is to turn down the heat setting. It will take forever to burn, but at least you'll get a good shade. Hope this helps!
Depends on the pen you are using! I use the transfer shader for all pet and people portraits and a 4/5 temp usually does the trick!

Of course! Definitely try basswood, super soft wood. They sell the slices at most craft stores, they'll be walnut hollow brand. I don't like bamboo at all. Also be careful with sealed woods, make sure all wood is unfinished. Sealed wood will release bad toxins when burned.

Other good woods: birch, aspen, maple, cherry, poplar. Those are all nice choices 🖤

I use knife series pen for fur. Start with a light layer and then go back and start adding darker tones!

Does it matter what time of wood u use
The type of wood is very important. Nothing that is sealed. I'd recommend basswood, cherry, birch, and maple! Hope this helps.

I have different sizes of each type of pen, that's why I used the name instead of the number in my video. So the transfer shader, knife series, etc. Come in many sizes and you would just had to see what size would work better for you.
