    I tried Toyota and Honda. The result is that Honda is better in all respects. Toyota is expensive and tight. The rear seats made the car a joke. Honda is the best in everything. Engine design, power, space and even safety features are available in Honda. If I were Toyota's manager I would have kicked out the designer at Toyota.

    Within the next month or two I plan on selling my 2001 Toyota Celica. It still runs fine... but after 18 years and almost 200,000 miles it's time for something else.
    I'm a big fan of the hatchback on my Celica, which is why I'm considering both the 2019 Corolla and the 2019 Civic hatchbacks, among a few other cars.
    Now, if that (8 inch?) display screen in the Corolla doesn't flip down if desired, when not in use, I can already eliminate the Corolla from consideration. Not flipping down
    will be an absolute deal breaker for me, believe it or not. I think that entire display looks terrible and I can't imagine having to look at that thing all the time. Based upon all of the interior photos I've seen of both of these vehicles, I MUCH prefer the interior of the Civic.
    Can anyone confirm or deny that it does or does not flip down and in?
    I haven't made up my mind on which exterior I like. I do like hatchbacks and the Corolla looks more like a hatchback. And I think I like the looks of the back of the Corolla more so than the Civic... but I can live with the way the Civic looks. The Civic does look a bit sleeker. The longer Civic length, and the additional legroom in the back, mean nothing to me... since I'm single... the back seats won't get much use at all. Gas mileage seems to be roughly the same. (Yea, the Corolla seems to be a tad better... but at the cost of a bit of horsepower.)
    I'm looking forward to test driving each of them... but I just can't get past that large ugly (8 inch?) display in the Corolla!

    Low speed follow I believe you can come to a complete stop for about 5 seconds and resume . After that you’ll see “stopped” and you can simply resume using your resume cruise control without having to touch your gas pedal. Honda has perfected this even some luxury brands don’t have this feature.

    • @PhillyFan20
      @PhillyFan20 5 лет назад

      The SE has dynamic radar cruise control. It does cut when you go below 30 MPH. The XSE gives you full range dynamic radar cruise control, which will bring the car to a complete stop. Both are standard.

    • @kevina2052
      @kevina2052 5 лет назад +2

      @@PhillyFan20 You are confusing the manual transmission with the CVT transmission. Full speed dynamic cruise control is standard on all CVT models. The cut-out below 30 MPH is only on the manual transmission. Both transmissions are available on the SE and XSE. The CVT cost about $1,000 extra over the Manual. Most people will buy the CVT equipped cars, of course.
