@@Thawhid It's a nice change of pace xD At least these basic cars can do something~~ The Golf is definitely the better car because of that 7-speed dual clutch, and the CVTs in the Corolla and Civic will probably not allow them to pass effectively on the highway :D But hey, Mat gave these cars a chance ~~

I stopped playing Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 when I was forced to enter 100 laps classic race. They had me raced in a 25hp Citroen 2CV at the Nurburgring. After a few laps I was like, "Ain't nobody got time for that."
I’ve never realized how fast are the cars you usually review until i saw this one ... it’s good of a change though 👍🏻
After watching them take off, such an interesting race to see these dreadfully slow cars try something different than just daily driving xD

@@andrevarela7818 yea i believe the honda was at a huge disadvantage honestly the toyota had a 1.8 and the gold had a 1.5t the 1.5t civic would of been better
@@chrissmith3378 but they were all about the same price as each other. But I agree the small engine in the Honda definitely made it a non contender. Meanwhile the electric motor in the Toyota helped it push off and the torque and gearbox in the Golf let it pick up speed for longer.

As a proud Honda Civic owner, I feel this particular trim was substantially underpowered compared to the other two especially since they're both mild hybrid trims, the 1.5l 4cylinder turbocharged trim would've stood a better chance in both the drag & rolling races, to be fair 😌
It looked underpowered a bit. The 1.5LT surprisingly does the 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. Then again I’m afraid of revving up my 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback sport touring, I don’t want to burn my engine lmao

I know in the corolla when you accelerate, the cvt gearbox makes a noise but me personally, i like that noise. It just gives the car a sporty feeling yet not producing as many emissions and maintaining good fuel economy which is equivalent to what you would get in a diesel.
