Mat's mum and girlfriend are back again for this estate v SUV v hot hatch showdown!
Mat's in our old long-term test car, the M340i Touring. With a 3-litre straight-six coupled with a single turbo, it'll put down 374hp and 500Nm of torque! As for Mat's mum, she's in the most powerful car here, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, this Alfa can produce 510hp and 600Nm! And then finally we have Jo, Mat's girlfriend, in the AMG A45 S, which has a 2-litre 4 cylinder turbo that can produce 421hp and 500Nm.
So the AMG & BMW are relatively evenly matched, while the Alfa is the clear winning when it comes to performance stats. But when you consider it's also the heaviest, will this stop Mat's mum making it two wins out of two?!

It's just not what it should be. A sporty car should at least try to sound like that. That thing sounds like a broken vacuum cleaner. Also, the transmission and improperly driven engines in the beginning tend to fail rather quickly.

Amg is 300kg lighter than the SUV, driven by a lovely but aged lady, and it has 50hp more than the wagon... and the wagon isn t the sport one of the family, so the engine isnt at his best... so the real question is : how the Mercedes could have lost this ? :o
The M2 CS is a RWD, as the M2 Competition , it can t be compared to the awd a45s... but i think the 2.0 turbo can t beat the M2 in an other thing than the dragrace... and just because awd>rwd in dragraces... if M2 was awd... that would be an other story.

My 12 year old Mitsubishi Evo has been putting out the same amount of power for over 10 years and has over 125,000 miles on the clock and the engine has never missed a beat,and considering my A45s has a stronger engine from factory then i think it fair to say it should last a bit longer than your claimed 1-2 years.
