The issue with such cars is that they are more than double the price in India than what it costs in Europe and US.
Blame it on govt. imposed ridiculous import taxes. Then you start to wonder why Made in India cars have subpar quality.
Yes. If you see the actual cost of car on sale invoice, it is even less than USA or EU prices.

Well in reality the M340i is the only car which comes under 1 crore, like C43 AMG's on road price Delhi is almost 1.14 crores as for the M340i it's like 85 lakhs. C43 is not the perfect car for the market, bcoz we get an Audi RS5 which 10-15 lakhs more expensive than the C43 AMG, and I'd still think if someone has enough money for a C43 they can easily spend slightly more for the Audi which has 450 HP and is slightly an upper segment car with a lot more power. The price difference between the RS5 and C43 is much less than the difference between the C43 and M340i, so if someone rly wants a car in this particular segment they should clearly go for the BMW, and if u r going for the AMG, spend slightly more and u can get a car with a lot more power.
you're right and fun fact Audi gives crazy discounts, around 10L discounts are flat out without any reference on the RS5, you can get an RS5 for the same price as the C43
We can get a m 3 for that price
First of all M3 doesn't come in the Indian Market, if imported thn prices will be a lot higher. The 2 door M3 is cheaper, if u think of the M3 CS it's going to be even more expensive, so ya it's not the segment or doesn't come in that price.
M340i for the win
Having driven a 340i, all I can say is that drive one to understand why it is one of the world's most loved six cylinder petrol engines! Probably one of the best six cylinder engines ever made! So very special, the B58 will always be loved for how outstanding it is!

@@user-vm3rd6nu7j If its for practicality & a sporty performance family sedan, the 4 door M340i is the one...thats why i upgraded from 2Door GTI...stiff suspension & the low profile RFT tyres are the disadvantages...Must be very careful on bad roads with potholes...Ground clearance was a concern but after delivery i had a trip for almost 3000Kms, and no where i had underside scratch...and on express highways, i got 15Km/Ltr... M2 is 2 door, thats the only concern i personally felt bcoz i had the GTI. The biggest advantage of M2 is it comes with adaptive suspension...which was a must for M340i too...If 2door is not a concern, then go ahead with M2...Performance of M340i is ultimate man, that B58 engine is a legend...you will not regret👍😁
@@user-vm3rd6nu7j It depends what you want from your car. If you are looking for pure perfomance go for the M340. If ur looking for something fun to drive go for the manual.....this is the easiest way i can put it.

M340i is a sporty performance family sedan with 4 door...thats why i upgraded from 2door GTI. disadvantages are stiff suspension & very low profile RFT, which is a big concern on bad roads with potholes...Performance is just terrific...You will not regret, that B58 is a legend...Ground Clearance was a concern but soon after delivery, i covered a 3000Km ride around south india, with no issues of underside scratch...On express highways, the ride is buttery smooth and i got almost 15Km/Ltr which was surprising😊 If 2 door is not a concern, go right ahead with M2...and it has adaptive suspension which is a big miss on M340i...M2 is 100% M performance one.

I drove my X3 M40i on the Coastt track last month. Amazing and highly technical track.
BMW has immaculate cars which cannot be competed against.

I think C43 amg is a tier down version of c63 or i would say baby version of c63 but in case of m340i, it is not a tier down version of m3 but more of a more powerful version of normal 3 series...
Literally owned both ….low key miss the c43 the braking and it definitely being more comfortable with a amg feel the only thing the m340i has over it is probably Tunability obviously better off the the line takeoff but if merc could tweak it a bit more I’d take the c43 just my opinion but everything they said was spot on

C43 comes with 2.0L 4 cylinder engine in a 1.5CR car which is 2x more expensive than M340i which a 6 cylinder under 70Lakhs

To be precise ,m340i has more m performance engine character than c43 ,because of inline 6 it feel like m performance bmw but c43 due to inline 4 it doesnot sounds like amg but that engine sounds better on A45s because it's more nimble and its a hatchback.When it comes to interior and aesthetically c43 has more amg feel than m on m340i .M340i doesnot look like m3 in anyway ,c43 has takeover so many looks and interior bits from c63 .M340i for a normal person it looks like 330i but c43 even for a normal person it looks different from c300.M340i comes in India as xdrive ,not mxdrive available on mlite so that little understand feel on track but on street big no ,because it is rear biased .C43 has less understeer due to more character from amg c63 ,major con on c43 is inline 4 which is really downside for purist .M340i is big win for engine character ,with mild modification it can perform even more better on track itself .Verdict:Better to buy M340i and save 27 lakh instead of c43 ,c43 too expensive due to cbu but at the same time S5 also cbu but its cheaper than c43 and also on the same segment ,s5 also good contentor for those who love quattro.
I agree with everything u say except the M340 isnt an M lite...and the m340 does have the Mxdrive it just cannot switch to rwd as the m4.........
M340i has B58 emgine that is used in Toyota Supra MK5.
Like Toyota using a BMW says a lot on how good this Engine actually is❤❤

Reviewers :Mercedes feels it has has more powerful engine with better gearbox, Mercedes has stiffer suspension with better brakes and generally Mercedes feels like a real AMG .
Results: BMW faster in 0-300 and rolling race and faster at the track…
At the end, Mercedes will be a Mercedes and BMW will be what it was all the years before…

I drove these cars and it was my first time , I drove for hundreds of km and I asked myself people shell out so much and miss out on manual stick shifting. Why aren't manual option available easily. People spending a crore and having a feel of a scooty.
instead of c43 amg M2 manual which is a pure ///M car makes more sense if you dont need rear seats
the m340i's is faster than the m2 tho.....while bieng an //M..But manual would be more fun
in drag race 1 it was clear m340i started late by 0.5 seconds
Both these reviewers from Autocar are sub par..Autocar need to bring Hormazd/Renuka/shapur/Gavin/Nikhil/Sergius to review such great machines...their reviews are way more exciting and engaging.
And at the end of the day, it's a BMW!

So the M340i is Rohit Sharma and C43 is Hardik Pandya and the reviewers like the commentators (Sanjay Manjrekar type) are hard selling the C43.
May be the reason why auto car lost relevance over the years. Carwow and Fasbeem pulls pants of manufacturers without fear while Autocar helps them with pushing non moving inventories out. The mercedes 4 cylinder gimmick is a global failure.
