This just felt like a Seltos advertisement. It started off with focusing on the cost and efficiency, but the video kept focusing on the features of the Seltos. The truth is that actually the seltos is least comfortable car here , the seltos' suspension is very stiff and most of the road bumps are felt inside the cabin. This video is sponsored by Kia. In my experience hyryder has one of the best comfort in the segment whether its seat comfort or ride comfort or high speed stability , hyryder is an impressive car and in our mixed run of city and highway we got mileage of over 27kmpl+ which is amazing. Also MG ZS is also much more comfortable than Seltos
Your comment feels like a Toyota Sponsored :D
Have you even experienced new seltos facelift?
The suspension is fine tuned than previous seltos.
You are exactly correct think these guys are doing a advertisement the seltos is not so comfortable and safety wise it’s not good
It never felt like they are trying to promote the seltos in the video they mentioned all three are good going by your preferences and the infrastructure around you.
Any Kia car is thousand times more unreliable than its Maruti or Hyundai counterpart. Just go to their service centre and seek owners opinion.
This just felt like a Seltos add, the video kept focusing on the features of the Seltos
It started off with focusing on the cost and efficiency and ended the video on Seltos because it's more comfortable? If that's how you were going to decide then you should have started with the topic of comfort at the beginning of the video
The truth is that actually the seltos is least comfortable car here , the seltos' suspension is very stiff and most of the road bumps are felt inside the cabin. This video is sponsored by Kia. @@ss877Sdrive a seltos with 17 inch it has excellent ride quality.
Drive new seltos facelift it has better suspension tuning they previous generation which gives better ride quality
New seltos has a similar suspension setup to Creta's... its better now
@@OmkarThorat If they were comparing ride quality from the start I wouldn't have a problem, they started the video talking about efficiency and then threw that completely out of the window to talk about ride quality and features to give the win to Seltos, that's why it feels like an add.
I have driven Toyota Hyryder and I really loved its ride quality and seat comfort. The comfort of hyryder is one of the best in the segement with great bump absorption, great high speed stability and great seat comfort . Really awesome car . Also we got a mileage of over 27kmpl and thats really amazing. I think Hybrids are best choice for Indian conditions.
You haven't just driven it, you are an owner, very evident from your numerous comments
Are you a salesman at one of their showrooms?.
Extremely low boot space, no headroom at all for medium to tall people. Interior doesn’t look premium at all for a 20 lakh + car.
Steering and mirror switches are from a decade old swift
@@Raunaq0777 Steering of creta is also from lower vehicles from hyundai and switchgear is also shared among a lot of hyundai cars. Interior of hyryder is good you are unable to see those double stitched leather on dashboard and very cushy door armrest. Headroom is less for taller people not medium sized people. Talking about switches they are all new in all models launched after 2022. I don't know where you find the problem. I have xuv 700 it has AC control and switches from thar , every brand does this to reduce cost. Its a part of their business. Overall XUV 700 or scorpio n is the best choice Far better than creta , seltos ,mg astor or hyryder/ grand vitara.
Bro, the car is bang on average. Doesn’t feel like a Toyota and takes forever to pick up speed.
There's no match for the addiction of Diesel Punch, mileage, and convenience. However, within the city, any basic EV will suffice.
That Punch of Diesel is Nothing against punch of EVs especially ZS has More power & torque then Diesel
@@milanbhanderi1953what about the charging infrastructure, not much range and high price if ev cars? In current scenario nothing comes close to diesel
@@milanbhanderi1953 pura padha karo 🤣 mileage and convenience ka kya. We are building EV infra but takes few years more
Honda City is also a strong hybrid
@@kushalp8166 Honda city has 4 cylinder hybrid engine where as hyryder / GV has 3 cylinder but with more features . Depends on one's requirement . Honda should have launched hrv hybrid
If ur monthly run is 2400+ kms and major drive i.e., 95% in city and u live in city outskirts. Then going with an ev is better choice.
But for long highway drives and similar monthly run, then diesel for now and strong hybrids in future will be the better choice.
Their is no point supporting one power train and bashing at other power trains, it's purely based on usage of ur car.
Mumbai Pune can be done on zsev on one charge it’s not an issue for the person in question
Check PlugShare, chargers are readily available
Tugging along entire engine and its accessories just for once in a while long drive is waste. Just go for EV and adjust with 10% of time.
Evs are best if monthly running is 1500 km+
Actually, autocar review of the hyryder with Sergius says “hyryder has a really nice, comfortable ride”. So what’s this now?
Its sponsored review by kia because of seltos' declining sales .
Grand vitara and hyryder sales has clearly become the Korean destroyers. Japanese supremacy 🇯🇵
Grand vitara and hyryder sales have already destroyed the Koreans
Here, its a long drive review. Theres a difference between driving 50kms and 350kms
@@SuyashKaul That 50km you mentioned is probably in the city where there are bad roads and comfort is key, hyryder does that then. The 350km in the highway needs a strong handling which cannot be possible with soft suspension which will give body roll, hyryder does that then. So you’re right and the point is justified!
I own Hyryder Hybrid V since 1 yr driven 16k km, on highway I get 21.5 avg with 110-120 speed n in city around 23 avg, ride quality comfort top-notch, seats are comfy, safety 4+, Overall great practical car for India n specially for those who have 50+ daily drive
Major con - Reduced boot space
Which walkies are you using? Can you recommend one for long distance use?
ZS EV is a smart choice with gas prices soaring high! Minimum running costs make EVs like the ZS EV a great option
Always my trusted auto reviews autocar is genuine 100% perfect thank for the all autocar team
My diesel creta 2016 sx is luv❤❤
Need more videos like this. Loved it❤
A diesel is a diesel. No match for the torque, mileage and overall feel.
Kia and Hyundai as supremely refined diesel engines 🔥
Hybrids seems to be best of both worlds currently.
Diesel ❤
The Toyota/ Maruti hybrid package has a lot of compromises & also it needs to prove itself in the long term. Very well covered team auto car.
Compromises? Please specify? Toyota's reliability and maruti's wide service network is a compromise. Brezza's safe platform is a compromise. Toyota's hybrid is a proven technology its a compromise . Wireless android auto apple carplay with big touchscreen is sacrifice.
Good, most car reviewers instantly but wrongly say EV is best.
For me EV is a SCAM
@@diptarkabiswas3765 🤣🤣🤣 Said the steam engine to the petrol car
The best selling car in 2023 was an.....EV.
well, wrongly if they don't say EV... having driven an EV for over 3 years and did this Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai at least 50 times, always on single charge...
Perhaps for the first time - a very relevant Autocar India Test answering a customer query in an effective practical manner. None of the crap like the 0 -60 time and the braking distance blah blah. They just kept to what an everyday customer would consider important - comfort and operating costs .
query- what happens when you have one more passenger in the EV - would the range go further down - especially on the way up to Pune !!
First of all they should now compare in such mixed segment, and I would proudly choose ZS EV over others as EVs are one time investment with minimum running cost
What I think the key is wait for Toyota / Maruti is to make the Hybrid more competitive with the comfort and features. It should not be that difficult as these are just Cosmetic changes.
I own Seltos GT Diesel AT. My parents find the suspension too hard. Flyover expansion joints & uneven road on WEH near malad, I have to slow down my car to 30 kmph. This isnt the case in my old innova.
Also mileage in Mumbai is 12kmpl for diesel.
I have driven 7dct seltos suspension is stiff and makes the ride uncomfortable
This was really a comprehensive, complete and devil in the details video maybe a PHEV series hybrid will be the best of both worlds, ohh teri
Happy to be a seltos xline diesel AT owner❤
I feel it's time to switch to EVs now over Diesel or Hybrid options. It's way easy to pocket and are pretty reliable as ZS EV is one of the best examples.
Who will add maintenance cost deal is cheaper to maintain then both hybrid and electric.
In the real world 95% of usage is “La parking spot”! So basically most of us want features + power + safety. It’s never going to get its value out for the average Joe who even drives everyday (probably under 40kms)
Seltos might have its features and the Hyryder its fuel efficiency, but the ZS EV offers a whole new driving experience.🤩🤩
Too good! Among these, I would go for EVs when the ZS EV is here. It's affordable, and equally reliable. So one can go for it.
I drive ZS EV facelift 95 kms (total) every day from home to office and back. Having completed 52k on ODO on an year and half , I would recommend getting one if you running is 50+ kms per day. I plan to post a review video on crossing 55555 kms.
Only one of them is 5 star Euro Ncap with running and maintenance cost of a two wheeler.
What we need is Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) with enough all battery range to cover daily within city commutes. The government should reduce GST on such cars. I hope someday TATA brings a PHEV safari with electric motors powering the front wheels and ICE engine powering the rear wheels
nice comparison ........great........diesel and hybrid tech you cant go wrong with either but but i would love to see a plug in hybrid soon.......👍
Plug-in hybrids (also known as range extenders) use series hybrid tech, which is only ok in the city. On highways, their performance is abysmal.
@@umtatraining true there is still no clarity where the market will go first it was the EV craze but now hybrids seems a better option given the tax cut and more players added up like the upcoming Renault duster with hybrid tech as well we will have more options to choose from they should have included a CNG comparison in the mix as well....
And that is one smooth yet a cinematic start
We r in 2024 still no 4k ? Pls do consider
Hybrid options are good but EVs are pretty good. They're affordable and performance+build quality is good as well.
Why did you not consider compass for diesel car?
The Wise Man, The Tribal Chief and Saumil Freaking Shah all together in one video 😅
I have a 2024 Baleno AMT and I cover 2000+ kms a month. Excellent highway + city companion. 700km out of a tiny 33 liter tank in the real world.
It's often said, one can break for lunch/snacks and put the EV on charge. But reviewers forget to tell, how many cars were on que or if the chargers , were working at all....... I have also come across articles, that say, the demand for EVs , is on a decline....
I would go for ZS EV considering the price of these vehicle & the overall efficiency 😍
Ev or me. Next option diesel seltos here.
They were so focussed on the features of Seltos that they forgot to mention that Hyrider comes with AWD options as well as CNG fuel as well.
bom-pune-bom can be done easily on a single charge effortlessly.
At times when prices of petrol and diesel are at all-time high, EVs are a good choice with minimum running cost! Big thumbs up for ZS EV
Nice review guys...good comparision
Good this was not a promotional video for an EV
What about cng?
Well I think if you want diesel, get the Nexon xz+ auto since it's cheaper , if you want to be future proof and everything, hyryder hybrid is the best .
You know, if you upload in 240p, you could save even more of RUclips's storage.
Diesel ⛽️ ⛽️ ⛽️
Buying an EV makes sense as fuel prices are so high these days! Even I doubt other two
Why don’t you use byd atto 3 ev next time and see the difference
My monthly running is 1000-1200 km, is it worth buy MG comet Ev instead of petrol Amt like swift, magnite, celerio
For City drive its best considering if u are parking in tight parking places
I doubt the build quality of Hyryder and Kia doesn't have enough service centers! I would go for ZS EV among all these
Diesel ⛽
I wish autocar replied to every comment with a videos 😅
EVs are better options these days, even when its ZS EV running cost is low and even range is also good
For EV, why not the highest selling Ev in India, Nexon? Has the ventilated seats for comparison 😊 But seriously it would have been more relevant for more audience of such a show
Seltos is such a perfect car, ticks all the boxes of expectations.
My pick Diesel anytime ❤
That ev charging stopped at 59% was clearly pre planned 😂😂
Among all these ZS EV is better choice as it has the same ground clearance, good build quality and running cost is really low
How is that, no one noticed Hybrid is the best option over here.
Best in efficiency, not be sold after 10 years, and all the available features as any other Seltos.
I drive the Toyota Hybrid in Delhi NCR and it gives out 30kmpl for Delhi to Noida office route.
Best thing ever.
Partiality at its peak.
Is hybrid exempted from odd even, GRAP, 15yo rule for petrol and the like?
If not, then no use of hybrid over petrol, use EV and rent a taxi Innova, chilling in the back for long trip
I have the mg zs ev since October 2022. Recently went to Amritsar without any ev chargers mapping. It was loads of fun. lol. However the car is the best purchase ive ever made in my life. 20300 kms done and its so smooth, reliable , comfortable , luxurious - I feel like its a German car..
I am more into EVs these days as they are the actual future of us. Even the're affordable options so why not?
Hybrids are practical and efficient
why not consider CNG option
You forgot that the ZS is the only car here that is 5 star safety rated.
Funny the reviewers didn't mention this.
Also as per 14:26 , it can be seen that the EV is ₹2/km cheaper than the Hybrid and ₹3/km cheaper than the Diesel. That's ₹5000 / ₹7500 saved every month for the person asking the question. Or ₹3/4.5 lakh saved in running costs over 5 yrs when charging with wherever the hell these guys were charging the car for ₹24.8/KWh. MSEB charges much lower amount than that when charging at home.
Comparison Petrol, Flexi, CNG, Syrong Hybrid, Electric
Liked the concept
Scorpio N diesel. What a Tank!
Honda City eHeV! Where’s that for this review? Better seats, ADAS, Honda’s reliability! Omitted intentionally?
Did you not read the question @ 0:15 ?
Heard a lot about the build quality of ZS EV and it's much better than Hyryder and Kia.
Diesel or diesel hybrid.
The latter is available in locomotives 🚄
No diesel hybrid available in India
ciaz once came with diesel hybrid "India's first diesel hybrid sedan" with a claimed mileage of 28.09 kmpl Sources: RANVEER SINGH. 🤣
Its available
Only in high end cars for now
Hybrids are the way to go. EVs are the replacement for petrol cars to short journeys.
No boot space in hyryder tho, even my one segment lower Nexon EV has more boot space.
Imagine brezza segment hybrid, no boot will be left just like cng
No boot space is anti-thesis of going for hybrid just for highway usage
For 25k per month, the engine reliability factor should have been taken into consideration and there Toyota's pedigree trumps the other two.
Hyryder or grand vitara strong hybrid is winner no doubt
Kudos guys.. I loved this comparison.. almost all our questions were answered.. even I was confused to buy between a diesel automatic or hybrid.. just a request if you may take this forward in second part with maintainence and ownership cost of both these cars Creta/Seltos diesel auto VS Grand Vitara/ Hyryder Hybrid
I agree on zs ev...The performance is really good. If meko choose krna padhta I'll definitely go for the zs ev. Comfortable. premium and so many good features.😀😀
Am i the only one who felt like it’s a sponsored video?
Hybrid or electric will be the most expensive car when the time comes for battery replacement.
CNG is king for long transportation at minimal cost
Well.. when you are stuck in a slow moving long line of vehicles on the ghats, which is what happens every holiday, you wouldn't want to be in a petrol or diesel vehicle, burning up clutch plates and struggling with the lack of torque, what you want is an EV to zoom past vehicles before they realize what happened, and not to mention, not blowing up the clutch plates.
In the above trip, the cost for EV was 2.2, that's owing to the higher cost at CPO, with JIO BP and Statiq, that can fall below 2 rs easily, and there is a difference in spending 5k or less a month and upwards of 10k. Keep in mind, the roads aren't always empty.
Small world, we meet again.
Not only that, they didn’t even count service cost diff for EV
And like ever, auto journos never mention PlugShare and still live in the age old mindset of “no infrastructure so no EV”
AutoCarIndia is rapidly catching up to other channels! So happy to see they haven't lost their authenticity somehow
However, I feel Hybrid is better than EV at least for the next 10 years
Why buy tension along with EV. Get a Diesel or Hybrid.
Hybrid is eco friendly 🎉
Electric ❤
The EV is a no brainer, just check the 'Range and Pricing' sections.
D for Diesel
yo you took the porsche video down
Best video❤
I think Honda city hybrid is best option in 25lkh
I own a seltos facelift AT diesel, never trust the Range.. It drops soon after completion of half tank..I wouldn't say the mileage is bad, it's good in highway(depends on how we throttle) City 11 klpl.
I had a ecosport, it would run always above it's range..
I also own seltos diesel automatic... city mileage is around 14-15 and highway easily 18-20 and on expressway 24 around.... its 4 years old now
@@rock0285 May be my car engine has to set, it is just 4000 km run now..And I don't know if BS6 stage 2 has the same mileage as stage 1. Happy with highways mileage like you mentioned, but in bangalore traffic I get only 11 klpl for now.
Logo ka alag rona chal raha Comment me bhai Creta and Seltos best hai chup ho jao sab 😂
I prefer my diesel Honda - I have been using it for the last decade or so, with hardly any problems. Hybrids sound good only on paper, but they are extremely costly to buy (high taxes), have excessive maintenance needs, since they have both an engine as well as electric motors, not to mention a costly gearbox and an additional high voltage battery (all negative points). The EV is nice to drive, with great acceleration and low noise levels, also hardly any maintenance, but it's good only for city running - so a series hybrid Maruti would be a good alternative, if I were to drive only in the city. The range anxiety / unknown charging spots on highways, however, make it not worth the effort for longer distances. Also, I expect resale values of both hybrids as well as EVs to be extremely poor, since their battery replacement will be a high cost. On the whole, EVs are not really ok for India, with it's poor charging infrastructure / high cost of repairs in case of an accident - so replacing the battery pack would mean the cost would be so exorbitant, that it might be better to buy a new car. The accident repair aspect of both hybrids / EVs have not been discussed in this video - that alone is a deal-breaker for most buyers of cars, who expect to own one for at least 5 - 10 years.
Diesel MT 🔥
Diesel is king among all no doubt
EV is just meant for city drives and only for those drivers who drive like more than 50 kms every single day inside a city.
Diesel is just love but the question mark on the 10 year diesel ban is just too uncertain and anxious.
Petrols and Hybrid Petrol are the only better choices because atleast they won’t have the drawbacks of EVs and Diesels.
If you drive mostly within the city then nothing beats the EV, true. It is also the best option if you do long trips once in a while, since currently in most of west and south India there are dozens of fast chargers available every 40-50km and most decent EVs can do 300km+ on a single charge. I drive 50km+ every day nd typically do 1-2 200km+ drives in a month... The drive comfort and fun is a BIG F bonus. Hybrids are just compromise of both world (EV-ICE).
Where is the calculation for your run. Just a video without a conclusion of efficiency and cost
