Got a TDI MK4 in a trade and it left me 122 miles from home yesterday. After five years in a field, I put it back on the road and the clutch decided to crap out. Great content. Subscribed and following along. Cheers from Texas.

We’ve had our gasser 2003 for years. Typical maintenance and extras. 205xxx so far 😎. Ive been daily driving it for the past couple months to get the mk1s ready for pacific waterland 😎✌🏽
They make great dailys! But definitely not as fun as the mk1s haha
I just picked up the exact same car! Cloth seats being the only difference! Found a Mk4 GTI at the local scrap yard that at the very least I'm pulling the rims off of! Look forward to the build

want reliable, ALH or BEW TDi W/ 5spd. Beyond reliable, cheap to drive, performance and Economical with very little money. Those Autos are a Grenade looking for a place to go off. You get 30-70k out of one.
I agree with the transmission, 5 speed is the way to go. I am planning on swapping in the near future. The TDIs are a lot more fun to drive but people in my area want more than 5x what I paid for this. I love the tdi engines, I swapped a 1Z into my mk2, but its hard to justify that price.
Too bad it's not a TDI😢
I know, I love the TDIs but people want an arm and a leg for them. I do have a 1z swapped into my mk2 though!
