In UK we get a 150HP version of this with 6 speed manual gearbox. Awesome car, I took mine to 275k miles. Would cruise at 110mph all day and still get 45mpg.
I know it is cool. I just can’t believe how good it shifts out with this mileage. It has had to be rebuilt or replaced. I took off timing cover and belt looks newish. Man I love it.
i just got one of these, a '05 GL 2.0! it used to be owned by my mom & dad for about 12 years (2006 - 2018) and they sold it to one of my mom's co-workers who loves VW, but today we brought it back to our family for $3,000! it's got just over 221,000K on it

My 2005 Jetta tdi has 314,000 miles on it and it is still on its original transmission
