Sid, you're a perfectionist like me and sometimes that can hold us back so I'll tell you what my dad (RIP) told me. I used to work jobs with him sometimes. He said, "Honey, I've been watching you do this your whole life and I've got to tell you. Jobs that aren't up to your standards, as you say, you wouldn't put your name on them, people are perfectly happy with them." It shifted my vision just enough so that I can walk away. I'm not at all happy about it but sometimes an okay job is perfect. Eye of the beholder, man.
Goodness that court looked like tough work Sid, I guess with you being such a perfectionist it’s difficult to be completely satisfied, but after going across as well as lengthwise it looks damn good 👍

That’s saying has been the mantra for Jackie and me and although I realise Lydia has childcare duties perhaps the part of the pulling together would be taking bookings to allow you to concentrate on the cleaning, you don’t have to be on the tools to contribute, in our relationship Jackie is the administration I am the man on the tools and it works great. loving the work as always, Loving Lydia’s enthusiasm and who knows before long the kids will get involved as well LOL

You did a great job. It was really dirty. I believe if you did a smaller section and once you clean that area. Go the opposite way. Then rinse and see how that works. I love watching your videos. You do an amazing job every time.

Sid, there’s a decent opportunity to get some maintenance work for jobs like that. Fantastic job on it, what you managed to complete anyway.
It can be difficult for people to comprehend how demanding it can be when they’ve never done external cleaning, you amaze me on some vids, but that shouldn’t be a surprise I’m in my 50’s lol.
Such a difference! And the amount of dirt that came off with the second pass was amazing. Have you got anything to vacuum up the dirty water before it soaks back into the surface?
I’m unsure if anything could really do it quick enough, the surface just needs to be proper drenched so flood the dirt out, tricky surface!
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning I've seen on some carpet and rug cleaning channels where they have a porous cleaning floor over a drainage system and I can't help but wonder if a similar system wouldn't be beneficial here. I imagine the cost of installing such a system would be quite prohibitive for the property owner, though.
@Quentin Stephens: I was thinking the same thing. Similar to the rug-cleaning wands, but about 6 feet wide. :D
@@PartridgeExteriorCleaning What if instead of sucking up the dirty water, you just rinsed it away immediately? Set up a second pressure washer. One to blast the dirt off, the other for immediate rinse down. Like you had Lydia doing with the hose, but using a second washer.
Save the extra expense of renting a more powerful washer, smaller one would be cheaper (unless you have another washer, or can borrow one from a mate!)
That astroturf/basketball court certainly needed the second clean over the 'clean' bit, as it still brought out a lot of dirt! 😱

Enjoy your work and the wife helping out. This almost makes me want to do pressure washing. However the initial cost out weights the start up. However I do like watching how much a good cleaning does to surface especially when it hasn’t been in years.

Hiya, just found your channel, Kudos for your hard work. I did a similar job not so big, but still took a full day, fist time cleaning a play area, I didn't use treatments then either.
Big areas like that need a larger machine that lays down the water and then sucks right back up again so it doesn’t have time to soak back in again.

great vid bud! ive cleaned quite a few of these rubber wetpour surfaces and from what ive learnt use a 4% mix and let it sit for about 20 mins then rinse it off. and using surface cleaners on these surfaces can do more harm than good but u should be fine if u use it on a low setting. just enought to agitate the dirt and algae, but never the less great video!!!

Brilliantly content really enjoy your work. you should try foam cannon first with chemicals leave it for 30 minutes then hot pressure wash & rinse. Keep up the good work fella 👍🏻
