Thanks for bringing Stevie Ray today👏🙌🎸🎶‼️. Even though he has been gone almost 33 years his fan base, thanks to RUclips and reactors, is larger than ever and growing!. There is so much great music to explore with a wide range of different skill sets that will keep your interest and delight you. FYI 99% of his videos, live or otherwise, do not need a filter to guard against copyright. There are a few songs from the El MaCambo 1983 that can get blocked but please try without. Reese Wynans is a fantastic piano player and is featured with solos in lots of different songs. My most favorite song of all is performed at Austin City Limits 1989 called Riveria Paradise. It is a creation of Stevie's he made after his own rehab and recovery and is dedicated to all those out there that are still suffering in any way. It is musical soothing and healing balm for your soul and Reese has a long solo in that on as well. I look forward to more Stevie Ray from you🎸🎶💙✌️💯
He has to be one of the best ever. Top 5-10, and that is always going to be debatable. To some #1 others , some where in between. Everyone hears it all different. Great Music, Great Guitar Player. Fire!
Texas Flood it is. I got a couple ahead of it. Voodoo, and little sister. I will get it all in. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I appreciate all the suggestions. Good Day.
Great reaction! You should react to Life without You at The Capital which is same concert has this Cold Shot reaction, he is phenomenal in that one, but he is in all of them! You would really like Life Without You at The Capital. He plays behind his back, with his teeth and his voice is great!!
You got it I wrote it down on the list I'm going to do a bunch of his stuff I love that. Thank you for taking time of your day I really appreciate it. More Stevie Ray Vaughan coming up.
The keyboardist is Reese Wynans, a great talent and currently playing with Joe Bonamasso. Stevie could really shred, but also play with virtuoso-level technical skills. One of my favorites is Riviera Paradise (live in Austin), which is entirely instrumental and showcases his ability to express emotion through his guitar. Another favorite is from this show at Capitol Theatre, Ain't Gonna Give Up on Love. And if you want more of Reese and Stevie, try Mary Had a Little Lamb (live in Austin).
Melanie thank you for the help. I was thinking on what else to check out. You just nailed it. I appreciate you taking the time of your day. Big help Be well.
RIP SRV! Couldn't read music! Everything he did was natural born talent! Check out "Texas Flood" where he plays the guitar behind his back. "Mary Had a Little Lamb" when the guitar strings broke and he played without missing a beat! He is one with the guitar and when he is finished the guitar goes outside to have a smoke! Hello again from Texas🤠🤠🤠
Rip SRV. And I really like that I never took time to check him out at all when I was younger but I'm going to now. Thank you for taking time out of your day I really appreciate that Donna. Be well.
Hey cowboy. IMHO, SRV is the GOAT of all time. Altho, he's shoulder to shoulder with Jimi. Both electrified Bluesmen/Aliens. You may be trying to remember the song, "Pride and Joy". These two were higly played. I love Cold Shot, lost my Vaughanginity to it. 😏. There are so many sides to Stevie, as you will find out iif you wander down this rabbit hole. He has an amazingly adaptable voice in such different songs. This man just oozes Rock n Soul in a natural way that seems to connect his guitar with his life force. Nothing contrived, written down or done the same way, same song. Each performance is a new and fesh take for us, because it's happening as Stevie feels it that time. Sometimes you can see him look at that ruddy colored Strat like it's the love of his life, maybe that's why he called her #1 . For your own pleasure,, check out Cold Shot from the live Japan show. But that Capital Theatre concert is loaded with great numbers. I love "Change It" from this show, but I believe the version from the 'Live Alive' CD is the best(check it out). Hot solo in that one. You'll see. And the Keyboardist, Reese, is phenomenal, takes me to church with the soul he puts into everything he does. I call his fingers 'dancing spiders', becuz that's what they look like up and down the keys. RIP, King SRV. ❤ ☮️to all.
Absolutely I'm going to go through some more Stevie Ray Vaughan library that was really good. I will get some up soon I promise. Thank you for taking time out of your day it means a lot to me and I really appreciate it.
Welcome to the SRV rabbit hole. Hope you consider "Life Without You" from this same Capitol theater show and if you want to see more of the keyboardist, try "Mary Had A Little Lamb", yeah the nursery rhyme, a look see from the Austin 1989 performance. Hitting more SRV will definitely help to grow your channel.
I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin August 26th 1990. The next morning when I heard the horrible news was one of the saddest days of my life. The lineup was SRV, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV!
Love to hear everyone's stories and experience even if it is unfortunately sad. What a memory to carry around all these years. Horrible Day. Even though was not listening to him then, I knew of him and remember the news that day. Thank you for taking the time Kevin. Means a lot. Be well.
Like you I was a huge VH fan. I was 10 when VH1 was released. From 6th grade on Eddie was my hero and nobody came close. Eddie was my GOAT. That is until I saw SRV & Double Trouble as an opening act at Charlotte Colosseum in 88' or 89'. I can't even recall who the Headliner was. Anyway, SRV blew me away. Eddie had some competition! I emersed myself in his music following that concert. To this day those two share the GOAT crown in my opinion. 2 different styles, can't really compare them even. But both masters of their craft.
@@OccasionalOutlaw just so you know Stevie never played the same song the same way. Each performance reflects the in-the-moment feeling which is why people will request particular versions of a song as their most favorite. His Voodoo Chile is exceptional. Most people request from ACL 1989 which is fantastic but for me his version at his Toyko concert is the last word on Voodoo Chile. He took his time, kept weaving new riffs in and out of the melody and it just can't be improved upon🎸🎶💯
Warning, if you check out more of his songs, here is a few tips. Live versions. and pay attention to the videos. Stevie will break a string in the middle of the song, he'll look to his right, and do a guitar swap without you hearing it. He's a singing guitar player. He does a few cover songs, but they are by Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Wonder. He's a bad MF'er and consider him the Jeff Beck of Blues. Another freak of nature is Jeff Healey and him and Stevie play at least one song together. Just trying to give you a heads up.
Wonderful! Welcome to our world. Stevie will amaze you every time! Please, please check out “Texas Flood” live from the El Mocambo, “Mary Had a Little Lamb” and “Voodoo Chile” from Austin, 1989. There’s a good start for you! I want you to know that Stevie was as kind and humble as he was talented. Donna G❤
Great reaction! New sub here, and a big SRV fan. He was the G.O.A.T. in my opinion. Songs for you to consider are: Life Without You, live at the capital theater Mary Had A Little Lamb, live at Austin City Limits in 1989 Look At Little Sister, live at Austin City Limits in 1989 Texas Flood, live at the El Mocambo Even if you have heard the songs on the radio, the only real way to listen to SRV is live. He was an amazing musician, and an even better person. He got sober in around 1986. The 1989 Austin City Limits performance was so good, and you could just tell that he was a different man.
@@OccasionalOutlaw that's what we all said back in the day! Stevie was only 35 when he died in a helicopter crash, but he was already a rising star and respected by blues legends, & continues to hold GOAT status with many of us. So glad you are discovering the legacy of a true guitar hero.

Keys not normally my thing, but when someone can do that it is magic. Loving this Road I am going down with SRV, turning into a rabbit hole. That Guitar work has had me transfixed at times. WOW.
