Whoosh‼️‼️That sound you hear is somebody falling down the SRV rabbit hole🐇🐇🐇. Welcome to a wonderful world of musical magic. This song is an original by Jimi Hendrix one of many guitar influences Stevie had. Self taught at age 7, playing bands at 14, and getting paid by age 16. Stevie incorporated parts of all his blues heroes and mixed them all up with his passion and intense magic. All his heroes loved and respected him right back. He remains at the top of the list for me💯🎸🎶💙‼️I will sub for more Stevie Ray.

Stevie is highly regarded as the GOAT. There is a reason every great blues artist of the day wanted to collaborate with him. He usually kept three guitars strung up for his live performances because he regularly broke 12 gage strings (which is ridiculous). Check out video of him making guitar changes without missing a beat.
Stevie Ray Vaughan was an ABSOLUTE MASTER OF THE GUITAR. He used 13 Gage strings on up to 17 Gage strings bending them like they were wet noodles! His hands had some fantastic strength & broke strings regularly!!
He always tuned the guitar to E flat and use heavy gauge #12 and #13 guitar strings. Eric Clapton once tried to play his guitar. He found it very difficult to play.
Its a Bolo hat. He loved his hats. All different colors. And they all looked good on em. He had them made special for em cause he had a small had a small head. Everybody just about has a Stevie Ray Vaughan hat in Texas and a gun. ❤❤
yer, looks like I got that wrong ha-ha, this is the problem with going in blind - not knowing anything and getting it wrong lol ( but also the best at the same time, as my reaction is genuine)
Stevie Ray had and wore many hats on and off the stage ie: 'newsboy' flat cap, western style, cowboy hats, knitted caps, straw hats and his signature black hat, the 'Plateau' with a black satin band or commonly referred to by his fans as the "Stevie Ray Vaughan'. Texas Hatters, located in Texas, was SRV's go-to-hat shop when he needed something new for a show. The hats were custom made and came in different colors like purple, brown, white, tan, red and black. He also wore the hats with faux animal tails attached. This song #Voodoo Chile was originally written and performed by the late, great Jimi Hendrix in 1969. Stevie was a huge fan of Jimi's and also covers #Third Stone from the Sun, #Little Wing and #Manic Depression by Hendrix. Stevie was born in Texas, 1954. Even tho he and his older brother Jimmy were well known around the Texas music scene since their early teens, the rest of the U.S. hadn't heard of him really until he and his band #Double Trouble debut their #Texas Flood album in 1983. You are obviously quite young #Azi and perhaps live in another country .. so don't feel bad or apologetic that you have never heard of SRV before now. The point is .. now you have. You have been introduced to a true blues legend .. and there have been many blues artists and legends before Stevie. What made SRV stand out from the rest was his guitar playing. He couldn't read music and never took a lesson. He was self-taught, playing by ear. While other 'good' guitarists played/play loud 'n' fast and sounding a bit rehearsed, almost identical to the studio versions during their LIVE performances .. Stevie Ray was plum full of genuine raw talent. He played with his heart, soul and a effortless conviction. He NEVER played the same song the same way twice. Look closely at him performing #Little Wing at the 'El Mocambo'. He is on some other planet and extremely 'zoned out'. Just the shell of his body is left on stage until his subconscious suddenly snaps him out of it and back to reality. Whatever he was feeling at the moment on stage, he was capable of channeling those emotions thru the strings. Every note/sound can literally be felt by the listener. NO ONE can take the sounds Stevie created, convert them into notes and then write it down on paper. There is a video of SRV and the band 'rehearsing' before a show. I don't believe he is seen 'rehearsing' the songs tho. Stevie could musically ad-lib the sounds he heard in his head. I think he and the guys were just passing time and 'rehearsing' beat timing. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan LIVE before his untimely death in a 1990 helicopter crash after a 2 day show in Wisconsin. So when I pass away .. I hope there is a Texas juke joint some where in heaven and Stevie Ray Vaughan is the main attraction .. just after Jimi Hendrix sets the mood with a killer opening and exits the stage. Other SRV's videos to check out .. #Texas Flood/#Little Wing/#Lenny/#Third Stone from the Sun .. LIVE @ El Mocambo #Tin Pan Alley w/Johnny Copeland .. LIVE @ Montreux #Champagne and Marijuana w/Buddy Guy .. LIVE #Life Without You/#Couldn't Stand the Weather/#Ain't Gonna Give Up on Love/#Change It .. LIVE @ Capital Theater #TightRope/#Crossfire/#Mary Had A Little Lamb/#Cold Shot .. @@Azimov-REACTS .. You are very welcome. Yes .. Learning to play guitar is difficult enough for the every day average person. However, not being able to read music, yet disciplined enough to stick with it, and learning how to play was a feat all unto itself. Stevie got a couple pointers from big brother Jimmie .. but the rest was all on Stevie Ray. He said he would put on the records of popular artists that were lying around in the home. He would practice for hours everyday.literally listening to and playing by ear. He listened until he 'found' that same sound/note on the guitar neck. Then continue practicing until he had the artists songs memorized. BTW ... Did I mention the fact that lil' Stevie was 7 when he picked up his first guitar?
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness This particular vid was filmed in 1989 at Austin City Limits, a music venue in Austin, Texas. No correlation in regards to the hats. Stevie was a Texan and the hat was simply a cultural thing. Plus, it had the cool factor going on. 😎 It's important to note that Stevie had recovered from serious drug and alcohol addiction by late 1986. From late 1986 until his death in 1990 (helicopter crash) he was clean and sober and tried to help others beat addiction. While he was a monster on the guitar, in person, he was a kind and humble soul and is sorely missed by his fanbase. Do yourself a HUUUUGE favor: **Texas Flood at El Macambo** **Life Without You at Capitol Theater** Texas Flood at El Macambo is one of THE greatest guitar performances ever caught on film. Regardless of genre (Blues). It was filmed in 1983 in Toronto. Life Without You at Capitol Theater is a tribute to his friend, Charley Wirz, who had passed away. Simply amazing.
🤣 that's great haha - Thank you for such an in-depth comment, i love learning about the artists I truly enjoyed and as you said he is definitely the "The goatiest goat in all of goatness" i saw on another comment about his drug addition, and fair play to him for sorting him self out - what an inspiration he is, what a shame about his death, truly not fair. A Lot of people have recommended Texas Flood, so i will be sure to do a reaction video on this song in the near future
@Azimov-Music I forgot to mention that when watching SRV live, you must not take your eyes off him, and you must watch until the last note is played. The two videos I have recommended will blow your mind, so.... 👀 😉
OMG, you’ve never heard of SRV??? Wow!!! So glad you finally got to hear the GOAT!!!! He’s amazing!!! Hope you listen to more. Here are some fun ones of SRV’s… Look At Little Sister, Pride and Joy. These are a couple of my favorites. Enjoy!
This is the 80s and SRV was the real deal He broke onto the music scene like a hurricane of rockin blues/ soul Quickly became one of the best guitarists before his tragic death in a helicopter crash * Texas Flood*. Deep rabbit hole.
You must react to SRV "Texas Flood" live at El Mocambo to see how good he really is. He shreds behind his back just because he can. He's the best of all time and his vocals are good as well
SRV produced a beautiful song called Riviera Paradise. It is an instrumental song and so melodic and soothing. Yes, SRV and Jeff Healey did a song together called Little Sister. SRV and Jeff are both gone now. Jeff from cancer that caused blindness and SRV in a helicopter crash. We lost two great guitarists.
Hi A., Mr. Stevie had his initials on the top cut-away but they wore off.. Lots of great songs, check out "Sound Check".. "Voo Doo Child" is an Jimi Hendrix song.. ♠W.G.
It's often said that SRV didn't plug into an amp he plugged into his soul...you'll also hear things like "GOAT" "He played piano strings" "super nice guy" "legend" "Best guitarist ever" "he loved Jimi Hendrix" "big heart" and so much more. You want his best? IMO the greatest live performance ever - Texas Flood at El Macambo. If you ever heard of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil for guitar fame and the story of the crossroads. It's the performance I'd put up against the devil himself!!! Then the meanest blues duet is SRV and Johnny Copeland doing Tin Pan Alley together. Masterpiece. He's from TX btw. RIP

Killed in a helicopter crash at age 35, another GOAT gone far too early. There is a book out entitled "SRV TEXAS FLOOD The Inside Story of STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN" written by Alan Paul and Andy Aledort c 2019 that details a close up and personal look at SRVs life as well as those around him. Above all else this man was a kind and gentle sole of a human being. Thanks for reacting. Leave My Little Girl Alone has always been a favorite of mine as only SRV can do it. Peace out, be well.
Saw SRV when he opened for Ray Charles and were blown away. We were drenched in sweat after his set. Sadly didn't get to see his upcoming tour due to his helicopter crash death at I think 34 yrs old. RIP sweet SRV. ❤
The hat was always part of Stevie's wardrobe. Long before American Horror Story. He's Texas through 'n through. The best to ever pick up a Stratocaster.
This is a Jimi Hendrix cover. All SRV must be live. Yes do Texas Flood at El Macambo. Other songs, Look Little Sister, Life Without You, Pride and Joy.
Friday ;-) - It would have been released today (Texas Flood), but was banned and has been blocked for copyright and I need to wait 48 hours before it get released
If you wanna see one of his best performances, check out his performance of the song Texas Flood Live from the El Mocambo. It's amazing. Kurt from Maine USA
@@Azimov-REACTS You won't be disappointed. Keep your eyes peeled for what he does with the guitar on the last third of the video. It's amazing and something people don't do anymore. Your only question will be "How is he doing that!"
Sadly, I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin USA on August 26th 1990. The fog was so bad after the show that we stopped and got a hotel room on the way home. The lineup was SRV, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Stevie's brother Jimmie and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV!
This was on the show Austin City Limits in 1989. The entire episode is otherworldly. Watch all of it. His hat is a fedora. He had several in different colors. Also watch Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland live. It showcases his "honey over gravel voice" and some great blues. You will not be disappointed. SRV will live forever as the G.O.A.T.
Yes, my friend... once you've peeled back the lid on a can of Stevie Ray Vaughan, you can never return to a state where you haven't experienced that level of greatness. You'll want more and more. But, it's a marvelous journey! That old Stratocaster was named Number One or First Wife by SRV. Stevie bought it VERY used from Heart of Texas Music in Austin, Texas in the mid-70s. That hat was hand-crafted by Manny Gammage of Texas Hatters in Austin. Originally called the Plateau, it was renamed "the SRV" in Stevie's honor. People have loosely referred to that hat as a "Mexican cowboy hat." I'll recommend more of Stevie's music on RUclips in my next post...
WOW is right. You've witnessed greatness. Sounds like he's playing 2or3 guitars. Virtuoso, master of his craft. Gone but never ever forgotten. You've got to react to Texas Flood, El Mocambo. You'll barely be able to wrap your head around what you'll be seeing. I won't be a spoiler about that performance, but it's a jaw-dropper. Like the Texan he was, Stevie wore the coolest hats. He was super cool and had straight up swagger. He was a shotgun fast shredder on guitar, and as for strumming, I suggest watching Tin Pan Alley w/ Johnny Copeland, and Dirty Pool from Montreux, Switzerland. Stevie was just incredible, and I actually can't live a day without his sound. RIP, King SRV. 🎸👽💔💙. ☮️to all.
Texas flood has been done 😉 - ruclips.net/video/4auaxFqiPxY/видео.html Spoiler Alert! ITS INSANE!! lol Ive added Tin Pan Alley to m list - Thank you for the recommendation 😊
He wasn't "good", he was "F"en great. As BB King said about SRV, most players play in phases, I play in sentences, Stevie played in paragraphs. He was a man of many hats, all ways played with a hat. RIP SRV.
SRV is the star of your video, so just remember, your face in the little box, and SRV showing some of the best guitar work the world will ever see, in the BIG box. By the way check out his “sound check” video. 20 minutes of guitar work most guitarists would die for. The hats are all different, probably to help keep the copious amount of sweat this man produced out of his eyes. I saw him twice live, there will never be another like him. Rest in peace SRV.
To the point 🤣, but yer I agree I will work out how to do it and give it a go 😁, cheers for the feedback - always looking at how to improve. 20 mins!! wow im gunna have to check that out!!

Thank you for recommendations, ive put a few onto my list I see quite a few people have suggested Tin Pan Alley - so ill be looking at doing this next in the future
thanks, Azimov... SRV covering Jimi... all respects to the original artist, but IMHO, SRV got this... the only thing that surprises me about this performance is that he somehow did not break a string... lol
Thank you for watching :-) - I've seen comments saying Jimmy Hendrix did it first, I've not actually heard his version so may need to do a reaction video to it and compare the two together
Believe it or not Stevie Ray Vaughan has never been #1 on any list of best guitarist of all time which I have never understood, show me any guitarist who had stage presents and could play behind his head, backwards, one hand, broken string, switch guitar in the middle of a solo and never missed a beat, tune his guitar while playing, adjust his AMP'S while playing one handed, teeth, elbow and could play behind his back longer than anyone ever could. Stevie Ray started playing guitar at the age of 7, his brother Jimmie Vaughan who is a great guitarist In his own right and had a band called The Fabulous Thunderbirds and was 3 years older than Stevie Ray had an electric guitar that Stevie Ray loved. On Stevie Ray's 7th birthday he got a toy guitar even though it was a toy he learned to play Wine Wine, Wine and Thunderbird by The Night Caps (on a toy guitar). His guitar was named #1 he called it that because he said it's his first wife but it doesn't tell him what to do and it doesn't yell 😂 he bought the guitar at Ray Henny's Heart Of Texas Music Shop in 1974, the guitar used to belong to another artist named Christopher Cross. He was on The Tonight Show and Fender had designed a Stevie Ray brand guitar and he is playing that guitar on the show but before he went on Stevie Ray realized there wasn't the SRV on the guitar so Rene Martinez his guitar tech had to find some stickers, put then on his guitar and he went on to play, sadly Stevie Ray passed away before Fender and Stevie Ray could seal the deal. Stevie Ray's career only span 7 yrs but he had collected alot of awards, on December 13,1983 Austin City Limits video was voted Guitar Player Magazine's Best New Talent, Best Electric Blues Guitar Player and Best Guitar Album with Texas Flood he and Jeff Beck are the only Triple Award Guitarist ever and on November 8,1984 Stevie Ray won a W.C.Handy National Blues Award, Entertainer Of The Year and Instermental Of The Year, Stevie Ray was the first white person to win either. On August 13, 1990 just 2 weeks before his death all 5 of his albums sold over 500,000 copies and certified gold, in 1982 he was inducted into The Austin Music Hall Of Fame, in 2000 he was inducted into The Blues Hall Of Fame and in 2015 he was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. It's sad to know Stevie Ray never got to enjoy a #1 hit, his song Crossfire hit #1 2 months after his death. On August 26, 1990 Stevie Ray went to East Troy Wisconsin to open 2 shows for Eric Clapton along with Robert Clay, Buddy Guy and his brother Jimmie Vaughan both shows were sold out 40,000 fans for $29 a seat.on August 27,1990 after Eric Clapton finish his show Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Robert Clay and Jimmie Vaughan went on stage with Eric Clapton and performed Sweet Home Chicago by Robert Johnson, after the show Stevie Ray boarded a helicopter that crashed into the side of a mountain right after takeoff and everyone on board were killed instantly. The pilot had just failed his test on using the gages for the helicopter, that was the first time he flew that helicopter and he never flew at night so needless to say it was pilot error. Stevie Ray Vaughan imo WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT and he is so missed.
This is a great comment, thank you for taking your time to teach me about SRV - its fascinating!!! - io cant believe he's never been #1 that's insane!! So gifted that he can learn and play a TOY guitar!! , so sad about his passing! such a massive loss to the music world! and even more so that it could have been avoided!! Thank you for your time and comment :-)
I can't believe how underrated Stevie Ray Vaughan is but so glad people now are recognizing his hard work and talent. I have a real problem trying to keep my comments short but still try to get enough information as possible. I've seen a huge fan of Stevie Ray for more than 40 years and had to learn as much as I can from his childhood on to today but only comments about what I see and hear from Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan themselves. Thanks for the amazing reaction.
Stevie is the GOAT and I grew up listening to Stevie he got so much better and cleaner sounding after he went through his rehab in 85. This was a late 80s performance when he was on top of his game, Jimi was the originator but Stevie took this song to another level that only he could. The only other guitarist that can do this song justice is John Mayer.

Great reaction. Everyone will recommend Texas Flood (which is great, don't get me wrong), but personally I would recommend Life Without You, live from the Capital Theatre in Prosaic, New Jersey. That performance shows a different sound and more of Stevie's versatility. The tone he achieved in that performance is absolutely of this world . . .

Love your reaction ... as some people have pointed out SRV is most probably one of the greatest electric blues guitarists to ever strap on a strat. He is from Texas so the Stetson hat is both natural and iconic. This version of "Voodoo Child" is a cover of a song originally done by Jimi Hendrix, whom SRV deeply admired. However if you want to experience what is universally revered as the most epic, powerful and emotionally gut-wrenching guitar solo ever recorded check out "Comfortably Numb" from Pink Floyd's 1995 live concert "Pulse". It is not just a great piece of music - it a deeply moving encounter with the transcendent.
"Life Without You" by S.R.V. And "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic Featuring Eddie Hazel studio version. Also Eddie Hazel's "Super Stupid" "RED HOT MAMA" "Miss Lucifer's Love" "I Wanna Know" "I want You" "Coming Around The Mountain" PINK FLOYD'S "Comfortably Numb Live Pulse Concert '94" "Learning To Fly" from the same Pulse Concert.
He was a complete master of the instrument. It became an extension of his mind and body. One of the very best ever with few peers. This is a Jimi Hendrix song, and if memory serves, the wah-wah pedal he's using here was Hendrix's. "Texas Flood" live at El Macambo should be next as it is widely considered his best live performance.
Stevie Ray Vaughan will always be the world’s greatest guitar player to me as well as a fantastic underrated singer too! Then add his stage presence well what more could you want! Plus the cherry on top was the fact he was a humble kind generous soul.

SRV wore hats because they kept the lights out of his eyes. Also they privatized his hair loss, so he liked that, too.
Perfect soul brother of Hendrix
He was one of the greatest that ever lived!!
aww thank you that's great to hear :-) - I really enjoyed this song and group, can t wait to do more in the future
He plays as well behind his back UNBELIEVABLE
His songs are always such journeys....amazing!
He always tuned the guitar to E flat and use heavy gauge #12 and #13 guitar strings. Eric Clapton once tried to play his guitar. He found it very difficult to play.
no, i see that trend going with this song haha.
Perfect thank you, I've added it to the list - don't even know if I can say those words 😂🤣
He wore many leather cowboy hats, often with a long feather out the back. It is an SRV hat.
He always wore a hat of some kind. I wonder if it was to make appear taller as he was only 5' 5". He was a giant with his music. ❤❤❤
Its a Bolo hat. He loved his hats. All different colors. And they all looked good on em. He had them made special for em cause he had a small had a small head. Everybody just about has a Stevie Ray Vaughan hat in Texas and a gun. ❤❤
amazing, thank you for clarifying for me :-)
Great reaction, a must see is "life without you " at the capital theater, all his music is always awesome
Aww thank you that’s awesome of you to say .. I will add this to the list .. thank you!!
My first time to watch your channel…looks like I’m gonna have to subscribe and stay tuned for your rabbit hole dive of SRV ‼️ Great reaction!❤
Awesome! Thank you!, I will be doing another SRV in the near future, Texas Flood is being heavily suggested, so I cant wait to listen to this song!!
80's here
yer, looks like I got that wrong ha-ha, this is the problem with going in blind - not knowing anything and getting it wrong lol ( but also the best at the same time, as my reaction is genuine)
The greatest guitar player ever! Bar none
SRV first recorded this song in 1984. Jimi Hendrix recorded it in 1968. I believe the hat is just a Bolero hat.
perfect, this is great, thank you for clarifying for me
I was born in 1960s so the 70's was the music I grew up with, the best music ever
I hope there is a Texas juke joint some where in heaven and Stevie Ray Vaughan is the main attraction .. just after Jimi Hendrix sets the mood with a killer opening and exits the stage.

this is an amazing comment, thank you for taking your time to do this for me. he was such a talented and interesting man, even more so about him being self taught..that truly is amazing!!! such a shame of his passing and i hope your right about headlining in the above and beyond.
I've got Texas Flood on my to do list as this is a heavily requested song, so I cant wait to check out this song in the near future. I will def. check others in my free time after recording the react video to Texas Flood.
Thank you again for such an amazing post
BTW ... Did I mention the fact that lil' Stevie was 7 when he picked up his first guitar?
ima say it, that was better than the originally
tbh, i didn't even realise it was a cover until looking at these comments 🤣 - but yes ...it truly was amazing!!
Wow what an awesome performance ❤
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness
This particular vid was filmed in 1989 at Austin City Limits, a music venue in Austin, Texas.
No correlation in regards to the hats. Stevie was a Texan and the hat was simply a cultural thing. Plus, it had the cool factor going on. 😎
It's important to note that Stevie had recovered from serious drug and alcohol addiction by late 1986. From late 1986 until his death in 1990 (helicopter crash) he was clean and sober and tried to help others beat addiction. While he was a monster on the guitar, in person, he was a kind and humble soul and is sorely missed by his fanbase.
Do yourself a HUUUUGE favor:
**Texas Flood at El Macambo**
**Life Without You at Capitol Theater**
Texas Flood at El Macambo is one of THE greatest guitar performances ever caught on film. Regardless of genre (Blues). It was filmed in 1983 in Toronto.
Life Without You at Capitol Theater is a tribute to his friend, Charley Wirz, who had passed away. Simply amazing.
🤣 that's great haha - Thank you for such an in-depth comment, i love learning about the artists I truly enjoyed and as you said he is definitely the "The goatiest goat in all of goatness"
i saw on another comment about his drug addition, and fair play to him for sorting him self out - what an inspiration he is, what a shame about his death, truly not fair.
A Lot of people have recommended Texas Flood, so i will be sure to do a reaction video on this song in the near future
Yes to both of your suggestions.....Love SRV!
@Azimov-Music I forgot to mention that when watching SRV live, you must not take your eyes off him, and you must watch until the last note is played. The two videos I have recommended will blow your mind, so.... 👀 😉
yerrrr... i got told off by a few people in this video for closing my eyes haha - i learnt my lesson and wont happen again! 😁🤣
Friday ;-) - It would have been released today, but was banned and has been blocked for copyright and I need to wait 48 hours before it get released
SRV clothing is his usual wear on and off stage. He had great style to this day, so cool.
You must react to SRV "Texas Flood" live at El Mocambo to see how good he really is. He shreds behind his back just because he can. He's the best of all time and his vocals are good as well
Truth!!!
Thank you - its been added to the list - its a heavily requested song so it must be good! I cant Wait!
srv is generally recognized as the greatest blues rock guitarist that ever lived. we lost this gem way way way too soon
The song is from the 70s (Jimi Hendrix) but this performance is from 1989. SRV'S recording career was from 1983 to 1990.
Perfect, thank you for clarifying - this is my problem going in blind haha - ill be doing another song soon - at least this time I can say 80's haha
Thank you for your comment, I've added your suggestion to my list of TO DO's
That's the act of divine intervention
This performance was live at Austin City Limits 1989. He died in 1990.
RIP
Friday ;-) - It would have been released today, but was banned and has been blocked for copyright and I need to wait 48 hours before it get released
I drank a bottle of crown with Stevie in his bus at a festival in `84 .... Was stage \drum tech ...just a few feet away stage right ....friggin awesome... Retired now ...40 years of great memories.
oh wow thats amazing!!! you must have some amazing stories, where you a stage/drum tech for just Stevie, or have you worked for others?
@@Azimov-REACTS was lighting tech assigned to drums for the festival for Dr hook & joe ely as well... Joe ely offered me a tour position as drum tech .... Changed and tuned a snare skin before the song was over... Could not take the job as I had a life doing lighting.. toured with support group for ac\dc 1980 back in black tour... Too many gigs to list... Lots of great memories
Eric Clapton let him use his helicopter and pilot.
Great book. Loved it.
RIP Jimmy and Stevie...
A reverent performance of the Hendrix song. Enough nuance to distinguish between them.
I think i need to check out Hendrix version and do a comparison
Saw SRV when he opened for Ray Charles and were blown away. We were drenched in sweat after his set. Sadly didn't get to see his upcoming tour due to his helicopter crash death at I think 34 yrs old. RIP sweet SRV. ❤
how lucky that you were able to see him live though, such a sad loss to everyone and the music world
Saw him back up Jeff Beck at Cobo in Detroit. Came back out and played Going Down with Beck. UNREAL
greatest blues guitarist ever
The greatest to ever walk the Earth!
And that, is how you do THAT-!!
React to his song Look At Little Sister for the same concert in Austin, Texas as the above song. You WILL NOT be disappointed !
Awesome thank you, ive added it to the list
If you wanna see one of his best performances, check out his performance of the song Texas Flood Live from the El Mocambo. It's amazing. Kurt from Maine USA
Amazing, i can say that this is a heavily requested song, so I will be doing it soon and im rather excited to do it as well!!
RIP SRV!
Yes RIP! such a tragic loss to the world!! -must have been an amazing experience to see him live though!!
He was so good in person too!!!😅
This was on the show Austin City Limits in 1989.
🎸👽💔💙. ☮️to all.
Texas flood has been done 😉 - ruclips.net/video/4auaxFqiPxY/видео.html
Spoiler Alert! ITS INSANE!! lol
Ive added Tin Pan Alley to m list - Thank you for the recommendation 😊
Stevie was the 80s, one of the few good artists of the 80s
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jimi Hendrix originally did Voodoo Child and Stevie Ray Vaughan did a cover, Stevie Ray Vaughan also covered Hendrix song Little Wing.
You should check out: Dirty Pool Live at Montreaux 1982; Tin Pan Alley Live at Montreaux 1985 with Johnny Copeland; Riviera Paradise, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Tightrope, Crossfire, Look at Little Sister, Couldn't Stand the Weather all Live at Austin 1989; The Sky Is Cryin w/ Albert King, B.B. King, Paul Butterfield 1987 ruclips.net/video/a-i-tIXxtlY/видео.html
Love Struck Baby, Ain't Gonna Give Up On Love Live at Daytona Beach 1987; Life Without You Live at Nashville 1987 ( a lot of people recommend the Capitol Theater version of this song, but after getting clean and sober the message in Nashville is closer to his heart).
Thank you for recommendations, ive put a few onto my list
I see quite a few people have suggested Tin Pan Alley - so ill be looking at doing this next in the future
Steve's greatest live performance was life without you.
I'm here for SRV! And subbed~RIP Stevie ❤
Thanks for the sub & Welcome to the channel 😊
Do the original cut of Voodoo Child by Jimmy Hendrix. Jimmy is so incredible and was ahead of his time
I was thinking about doing the original, and comparing them both
thanks, Azimov...
When people make a list of best guitar players, SRV is frequently in the top 5.
This was the 80’s
SRV was one of best if not the best, but Jimi was damn good also. We lost him way to soon at 35. RIP SVR!!!
Texas Flood Live at EL Mocambo and Life Without You Live at Capital Theater. and Scuttle Buttin' is a fast tune by SRV.
The hat is a cowboy hat, although it's not typical it is more of a dress style. He also has one in white, among others.
John Mayer - ill have to check him out - any other song by him that's good?
1989
Watch Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland at Montreux 1985.
I'm not sure it it was at Montreux, but here's a reaction Video i did of the two of them
ruclips.net/video/L0p2NQtd6fY/видео.html
Thanks for watching :-)
I grew up on Hendrix then he came along
He is usually considered the goat when it comes to guitar player. He isn't my guitar, but I think he is his te best.
For great guitar work check out a video of him playing the songs - crossfire, or rude mood or Scuttle Buttin AND MANY MORE
It is always fun watching someone lose their Vaughanginity!!!!
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!
Next must be His version of Texas Flood live at El Mocambo!!!!! You are not ready but will never forget it!
By the way this was 1989.
hahaha this is a great comment thank you 🤣... I actually recorded Texas Flood last night - which **SPOILER ALERT** It is amazing!! - unfortunately its been blocked by Sony (as usual) and I need to wait 48 hours before I can release it - so it will be released on Friday at Midday (GMT Time)
@@Azimov-REACTS You can use a "water drop" filter over itwhich still allows us to watch as well.
ohhhhh this is interesting - im going to look into this!! Thank you for the info!!
@@Azimov-REACTS I tried finding the info for you but i couldnt' some reviewers make the video partially transparent as well. The important part is to let us watch it with you.
Life without you is fantastic and Tin Pan Alley live with the great Johnny Copeland, no regrets
Check out is classic and best known SRV song TEXAS FLOOD. It will blow you away.
I'm getting a lot of people saying Texas Flood - so ill definitely be doing this as a reaction video in the future
Nobody takes me up when I request the song Going Down with Jeff Beck (another goat). It will blast you out of your chair!
never heard of it, which is good . . its been added to my list :-)
Thank you for the suggestion
I intended to request the Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck version. Playing together on another level!
Yeah. "Life Without You" live at the Capital Theatre
Can appreciate this more after hearing Hendrix original version
I'm tempted to do the Hendrix version as well and then compare the two of them
Texas Flood - live at the El Macombo - life changing…
Friday ;-) - would have been banned but has been blocked for copyright and I need to wait 48 hours
Great reaction. Everyone will recommend Texas Flood (which is great, don't get me wrong), but personally I would recommend Life Without You, live from the Capital Theatre in Prosaic, New Jersey. That performance shows a different sound and more of Stevie's versatility. The tone he achieved in that performance is absolutely of this world . . .
Thank you 😊 …. I’ve already recorded Texas flood which will release tomorrow … but I’ve added Life without you onto my todo list … thank you for the recommendation.. it sounds great
Love your reaction ... as some people have pointed out SRV is most probably one of the greatest electric blues guitarists to ever strap on a strat.
This is great thank you, I've added it to my list and i think i will bump this one to the front (so hopefully will get done this week) - Thakn you 😁
SRV is a texan
"Life Without You" by S.R.V. And "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic Featuring Eddie Hazel studio version. Also Eddie Hazel's "Super Stupid" "RED HOT MAMA" "Miss Lucifer's Love" "I Wanna Know" "I want You" "Coming Around The Mountain" PINK FLOYD'S "Comfortably Numb Live Pulse Concert '94" "Learning To Fly" from the same Pulse Concert.
wow thank you for these great suggestions, ive put them don on the list for the future - this is great thank you :-)
He was a complete master of the instrument. It became an extension of his mind and body. One of the very best ever with few peers. This is a Jimi Hendrix song, and if memory serves, the wah-wah pedal he's using here was Hendrix's. "Texas Flood" live at El Macambo should be next as it is widely considered his best live performance.
and i can see why ...all i can say it .. WOW! - its been recorded and Texas Flood will be released today :-)
