I pull out of Grim Hex and first thing jump to Yela where I bed log and server hop. Some of the pirates will plant a box mission box on Reclaimers leaving GH. Then they can track that ship anywhere it goes. They then just wait a bit to give the target a chance to get some cargo loaded then jump right in. Server hopping clears that.
So smart! I started doing that as well afterward!
I plan to make a whole new video on the new 3.23 patch
I spent nearly 2 weeks of not being able to salvage at all because I'd get jumped almost as soon as I reached a claim. Started server hopping and had no more trouble as long as I avoided the OM markers. Especially OM 1 and 2.
@@draconusspiritus1037 definitely need to avoid OMs! We had some pirate issues before but not as bad as others. I found some friends and that helped for sure!
If you want to find a new government/community, check out out our new org, The Federation of Planets. You can find us on RSI. We planned for big growth so there’s an entire civilian sector as well as a government and 4 branches of service! Definitely a place for all and quite a few people who run reclaimers!
How do they plant a box on your ship?
@@misterspiff7288 From Grim Hex or any orbital station, they watch for launches or landings. Coming in or going out you're moving pretty slow. They can EVA to your ship and you probably won't see them. Drop a small box (1.8th SCU) from a box mission in on the docking collar on top of the Reclaimer and ship board gravity will keep it there. They can then track the ship and be able to jump right to it. Bed logging and server hopping effectively wipes th3e mission and so clears the box.
Thanks for the video. I had no idea how to utilize the reclaimer I blew all of my space eggs on buying.
Anytime!!! Keep in mind the new patches, you will not be able to make as much money this way, but still great to know how to use it. I do recommend using the scrapping heads on the reclaimed or vulture as RMC is worth more.
Great Video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Yoo!!! I'm the Guy from StarCitizen. @That_Sim_Dome - Chatting in Global Chat lol. Great Video btw!!! 🤩
WHEW a whole reclaimer solo!
if you dont solo the reclaimer, you aint doing the reclaimer right.
@@plasm2 so true :P
Good job man, pleasant to watch and soft on the head (music) informative and engaging!
Thanks so much! I’m starting a series this week of exploring the SC solar system, shorter clips but just as informative hopefully!
Good video and never seen anyone put cargo where you put it on a reclaimer lol
Oh no way really? I plan to do a longer but spliced video of completely filling the entire cargo areas and decks above. It really helps you max out the Reclaimer!
@ThatSimDome oh yeah I'm sure you can make a fortune if you max that out and I've only been around them but never flown in one lol big ass ship lol
@@FrancoGio Welcome to join for a run or two!
@ThatSimDome oh for sure I would but just not on right this sec 🙄
@@FrancoGio message me anytime, feel free to add me on SC as well!
I landed my ship in a hanger, went to use the elevator, was teleported to someone else hanger, then was moved out of it and into the walls (I think). Just trying to do a delivery.
@@CondemnedInformer sadly there are still a lot of bugs atm with this current patch. 3.24.1 coming soon would help with those issues at least
@@ThatSimShip Not that I want to spam your comments, but have you ever tried doing one of the first bounty hunting missions for a target that crashed on the surface on a world so you find them on the ground, the reward was 14k. Anyway, I went to one of these and there was several ships just hovering above and as I got close, I was fired at and my shield fell instantly and I barely got 10 bullets out before I was destroyed. I just didn't really feel I could have done anything and it's only 14k, I wouldn't even have enough ammo. Anyway, sorry, just this game at times.
Keep in mind, there is a new patch coming in April and we'll see how salvaging gets affected!
New to the game. Is there a strategic reason you're not scrapping before fractureing and disintegrating?
@@dakoata121212 this was in the prior patch where it was faster and easier to just fracture it. With 3.23+ absolutely scrap it first! :)
Seven million five hundred thousand million auec..
In patch 3.22 yep
Is there a reason you did not claim the head of the hammerhead? Seems as you’re missing a part of the teaching.
Great question!
When it comes to solo salvage, most of the time after I fracture the head breaks off in a direction I can’t get it, without finishing the body and then moving and going back into the claw and going again.
This adds more time to an already long endeavor, and usually I can get a bonus on the main body that will fill up the hull without the head.
However as of yesterday I added some more efficient methods for solo salvage, that includes angling toward the head but staying near the main body when you fracture so you Can get both head and body at the same time.
Also there is no need really to fill the lower cargo hulls because of the limit on the reclaimer currently, you can only house about 8-9 hammer heads before things start proofing.
Due to this you can keep your scu crates confined to the up balcony and the main processing area.
This will save you a ton of time from running around!
Working on a short video this week to show the results :)
@@ThatSimShip I normally align horizontally with the Hammerhead, and keep my nose somewhere between the HammerHead's Head and center Body. Once fractured, even if the head spits and move, it will not move too much, we can always do it at once, don't need to move the ship at all.
One more thing! I switch mode and disintegrate immediately after fracturing. I hope this helps.
only 7.5 i make 14 mil in 2h solo xD 8x hammerhaed mision (7 in ship + 1 in depot)
This is an oldddd video, and wasnt not meant to be a timed challenge kind of thing. More of a relaxing how to for those that were newer.
But when I run solo, I actually put 8 in the processor floor and 1 in the depot so 9 total. 8 is max before they start to poof. 3.23 changes all of that now though, as expected!
