  • In this video I review a 2007 GMC Yukon SLT which is the first model year of the 3rd generation Yukon model. Sibling to the Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, & Cadillac Escalade/ESV the Yukon is a strong contender for your next family vehicle.

I love this Yukon model year, the only thing I don’t like is how on the 2007-2013 Yukon Denali they removed the projector headlights that came on the 2002-2006 Yukon Denali.

I have a 2007 SLE and I love it I also had a 94 Suburban and I find them very comfortable in style and size on the inside lots of room

I currently have a 2014 as a second vehicle ( I live in NE Ohio - the winters here can be brutal). I actually think 😅the Chevys look better( I had a 2010 Tahoe) but I like this too. I've come full circle.

Was the radio with the big display an option? Because I'm looking at a 08 SLT but it has a standard radio.. :(

I'm surprised it wouldn't be standard on an SLT but if you're seeing one with a standard radio then maybe not.

@@DrivenCompanion My SLT Yukon came with the standard radio too surprisingly, but mine is an 07 which was the first year for this generation Yukon, so maybe that's why it did.

Yes they are reliable and it does good on highways. The gas is good on it as well. We have a 2012 GMC Yukon denali Xl with 175k mikes. Just don’t get a 2008 model.

My parents have a 2003 Tahoe with 220K miles and has been virtually flawless since the day they bought it. A fullsize GM or Chevy SUV should last well past 250K- 300K miles with proper maintenance.

I’ve got a 2008 Denali. 223,000 miles strong. I make 3.5 hour trips fairly often going from home to college and never had an issue. Only problem I’ve ever had was the alternator went bad this summer and I had to change it while down on vacation. But that’s not an issue of the car, just the nature of alternators after many years. It rides really well on highways but gas mileage isn’t the best. I get 16-17 normally, but a smaller engine model will likely do better. Hope this helps! Also take note of how many 2007-2014 Yukon’s are still driving compared to the ford counterpart....it’s night and day.
