    I have seen millions of small homes, micro homes etc but this one I so remembered and come back to it all the time. Beautiful like Classical Art. Thank you. Today I am showing it to a friend. Great channel thanks.

    The home has a very clean and modern look. I love the excellent and clever use of such a small space.

    Thank you Kirsten for another amazing video! I am an architect from Athens, Greece and a tiny house lover. I was looking all over the internet to see if there is such a movement in Greece and this one is the first to come across. I really wish we hadn't such strict regulations so that we could build more tiny apartments/ houses - we certainly need them!

      I am in Florida. We have a horrible homeless situation. There is plenty of poverty. We have a man that was approved to set up a tiny home rental park. Nine homes with one coffee and snack shop. They cost $50,000 per unit. First class and small and fully furnished. He may set up a factory in our small town. Thank you. My grandparents are from Mytilini.

    Comfort requires space. I live alone in a 480 sf home and it’s still difficult. I like to cook so I’m constantly moving a lot of stuff around for a simple meal. Any little thing out of place can make the space look overcrowded or chaotic. You may think a small space can be comfortable but true comfort is showering leisurely in a large space, sleeping in a large unobstructed bed and watching tv in a cozy chair where you can put your feet up. As an experiment tiny living is fine, but when you have enjoyed space pairings down is hard.

    Mobile homes are awesome! Mine is a manufactured HM on a trailer, it's DMV'd. 35X15. Pitched roof etc. I have a nice sized yard. I own my home and the space rent is cheap. Most mobile home parks were in existence BEFORE urban sprawl took off. This place I live was a campground in the 1900's. Many parks were built on small areas of land, unlike urban sprawl. Mobilehome parks should be included in the tiny home movement. Mines DMV'd and is on a trailer. They have so much "green" potential.

    People Please...the gentlemen architect understands that the technology surrounding a human these days, compels him to SIT IN ONE SPOT and let the brain go to mush. Almost all of the best of these designs DEMANDS a connection to the outside world (terraces, gardens, natural light) and mindful management of surroundings.

    Very smart nice and clean looking. Yes I lived in a car a VAN in the US for 16 years I toured from San Diego to Maine to Washington State to Florida then to all the places in between. Then back to Washington then back to New York then to Maine then to Virginia and South Carolina. I had little things I paid my storage for years never saw my stuff. So finally I decided to build a little house I could move with me like a trailer then scratch that I decided to build a Little house I could pull apart in sections and move with a fork Lift into moving vans or trailers you haul behind your cars. Then just buy the land with cash put down the house in every state. It was hard because I used to live in Deserts moved to Sub Tropical then to Cold states and my house has to be changeable to go with it. Add on and Take off stuff along the way. But I just wanted to never pay anything other then the original house I can build myself and move. I am a carpenter I can build a house from the ground up. I just need to learn stone work and carving also shouldn't be hard. So like a 3rd dimensional puzzle the house goes together. I think it is like each person gets their own house but it is little takes little money to move and then easy to drop on another plot of land for another 15 years or so. No rent no neighbors no crime no mortgage just sell the old land buy the new property. I like small houses just like one room living. I am one person I can only use one room at a time really is actually true. I like the garden room is better then another room I think. Thank you Grace Namaste

    Nice that you were able to share an apartment from another part of the world. And one can see the difference in camera skills; quite different when you yourself film ;-))) But are they really 34qm? Looks much smaller; is there maybe a seperate bedroom? And, it would have been nice to see more of the light channel they built. Maybe in a seperate video?

    There are many apartments in Athens, yet a very little space for new buildings in the center. Why prefer Athens to other parts of Greece? Because due to crisis, there are some jobs left in Athens. And my question, after all this, is WHY NOT?

    Dishwashers, especially newer models, are actually more efficient than hand washing dishes.

    • @Southamericangirl42
      @Southamericangirl42 6 лет назад

      Exactly. All the energy savers and manual washers are in a huff over a small dishwasher. I'm willing to bet its energy label says A or higher. Europe is light years ahead of North America in that regard.

    How can you compare a mobile home to this. Maximum appealing use of a small space in an urban setting. The courtyard makes a big difference. The simplicity adjusting to a small space in an urban setting with all it offers versus living in isolation, being part of community. Not contributing to suburban sprawl.....

    I didn't get pretentious from them. They act similar to myself and my dad for instance. But I can see where you get the pretentious feel from. Instead of warm and happy, they're calculated and blunt. It's just a different personality.

    • @Southamericangirl42

  • @flamehairdisaster1
    @flamehairdisaster1 11 лет назад

    no they're not. ok, i understand your bath versus shower analogy, fair play, that is correct, and i'd understand how essential the appliance might be if you have a large or young family, but you are disregarding the considerable amount of electricity one uses when last time i checked,arms & hands don't require powering, in that sense
    furthermore, think about how unnecessary & wasteful using another appliance is when you already have the requisite constituents, arms, a sink, and some water!!!!!

  • @flamehairdisaster1

    in other words, it's something someone invented so that lazy people would make their lives easier. all i'm saying is think about how pointless it is.

    I love 99.99% of you vids Kirsten. But these guys were a little pretentious. There was very little honest feeling of warm that so often comes across from the folks you interview. One of my favorites was the spanish hay loft turned into an amazing house. You could tell that the family had really lived their for generations and values what they were doing. These guys seemed to just have picked a place, made everything white, and gotten snotty about it. Honestly, who hates *wool*?
