I had a similar thing happen in Bake n Take. I got myself a sandwich and a drink went to pay got charged £4.99. I was shocked as I thought it said £2.99. I said to the cashier I thought it was £2.99 and she said only if you get crisps aswell which makes it a meal deal. She then said do you want crisps. Like I was going to say no I'll pay £2 more and not have them.

You need to work in a food place to understand why it is how it is. A discrepancy can get her in trouble even if it's 1 cookie. She will be accused of ripping off customers which will lead to her being accused of theft. I do loss prevention for big corporations and everything is always blamed on the employees even if customers are caught stealing
Yes but.. the discrepancy is that there is more stock, not less.. guess how that can be fixed - there’s a bin right there

Not quite. 50p is UK currency. It is the equivalent of 65 cents in the US.
@@eggmayonnaise325 I'm sure the OP meant if the two coinage amounts were functionally alike. The values in different currencies literally change by the day (technically by the instant in electronic arbitrage) so any printed rate is always a rough snapshot.
We pay 5 cents for a plastic grocery bag and they pay 5 pence for a plastic carrier bag. Yes, they're paying more if you need to be pedantic about it but, in everyday terms, it's functionally the same thing.

Well, then, she tried to trick him n got tricked back.. Good thing he ate it. Lol. But it is true that if she takes it as such, it will be taken as cheating the customer n she will get fired so it is true that omce she hands u over ur entire order n then u give it to her, then it isn't against job ethics n rules.
