  • We see lots of S2000s with very low miles that haven't had any maintenance.
Even with only 18,000 miles, this is 15 years old.
Here's a few things that we recommend and some tips and tricks on how to do them.

For the cabin filter you can use a 5mm socket on the clips and it compresses them just right so they pop out.

Disclaimer: I have not watched the entire video. Slow data speed where I am at the time of this comment.
I suggest sticking with Honda's maintenance schedules in the 2000-2008 S2000 Service Manual either for normal conditions (highway driving; 7,500 mile intervals) or severe conditions (spirited driving, dusty roads; 3,750 mile intervals), starting with as if the S2000 had 0 miles on the ODO. The maintenance minder on '06-'08 models may not always be correct or its factory mile intervals per item may have been tampered with.
    Normal:
Engine oil & oil filter changes every 7,500 miles
Engine air filter every 30,000 miles
Cabin air filter every 30,000 miles
    Differential fluid every 30,000 miles
Spark plugs every 105,000 miles (unlikely, my personal suggestion is 60,000 miles)
Valve clearance check/adjustment every 105,000 miles (unlikely, my personal suggestion is 60,000 miles)
Manual transmission fluid every 6 years/120,000 miles (unlikely, my personal suggestion is 60,000 miles.)
Coolant every 5 years or 60,000 miles (this car is from 2006, surely 10 years have already passed which is the time limit before the factory coolant must be changed.)
    Severe:
Engine oil & oil filter every 3,750 miles
Engine air filter every 15,000 miles
Cabin air filter every 15,000 miles
    Differential fluid every 15,000 miles
    Spark plugs every 60,000 miles
Valve clearance check/adjustment every 60,000 miles
    Manual transmission every 60,000 miles
    Coolant every 5 years/60,000 miles.
Both: Brake & clutch fluid every 2-3 years independent of mileage.
    Different opinions are welcome.
