My brother and I were huge UFOFU fans back in the '90s. He died in 1997 at the age of 20. Long ago but not forgotten. Crazy how a song I've never heard before can bring back so many memories.
It was (I believe) January 2005 in the middle of a truly frigid winter. I remember it like it was yesterday standing in line with my best friend absolutely freezing our ass off. We were 16 with fake IDs and we got into the Quest in Minneapolis. They absolutely killed it. A truly epic performance - these 3 mysterious silhouettes on stage performed with unprecedented intensity and emotion. All 3 of them were on board with the band's vision at that time. I feel blessed to be able to see them in their prime. I saw them three more times in the following years, but they never played like they did in 2004 and early 2005.
This is such a good song. I've been listening to it for a year. Fond memories of seeing Secret Machines more than once in college...hugely underrated music.
I thought so as well, so my guitar teacher, my son and I figured out the chords. It's actually a 1/2 step down to B from C. He also uses C & Am (parallel minor) between chorus and Verse (the song starts in Am)
Unreal to hear new releases from you guys, sooo stoked to hear what’s to come. I was confused by the reference to Brandon’s brother in the caption, until I read the recent NME article that explains how Brandon shared demos for these songs with Benjamin before he passed. Amazing to hear his guitar playing again after all this time
This was a nice, unexpected treat in a very lousy year. Great track. Such a terrific band. They are underrated and should be playing in front of thousands of people.
Me "Don't you reckon this sounds a bit like ... " Mrs "Fleetwood Mac" Me "Yeah" "Some place in the back of my mind I guess I was hoping I could write a Fleetwood Mac song" Such a beautifully written song. I Don't know why all these Texas bands, that sound like British Bands, are ending up on my playlist 10 years late.
I got to be your 49th subscriber! The world needs your music. It has meant everything to me ever since I first heard it and saw you guys perform at Bonnaroo 2005. I'm looking forward to the new album extremely.
Just such great song writing. Breathing in the barely scented air...I got to see Brandon play this in January of 2015, never heard it before, but it smacked me upside the head. It turned to my wife and went, what the hell was that? Had no idea what it was called but I knew it was unbelievable.
With almost no fanfare, no big announcements, to hear there was a new Secret Machine album coming almost make 2020 bearable. By the way, the Facebook link doesn't work.
I love this band and album but just a question...I love to play my shit loud at home in work in my car this album at half volume of what I play other bands sounds all distorted was it recorded shifty or is it just me T
In a world turned upside down, I'm grateful The Secret Machines have returned.

Sorry for your loss, way too soon of a lad 20 years young.
Secret Machines make the world a better place to be. We NEED more of your songs PLEASE!
Wow, this song was recommended as one of the best of the year on a website... I agree
Absolutely beautiful track, so happy you guys are back.
Secret Machines live shows were epic. So excited they're back!

The gem of the album. This is amazing. Big fucking welcome back guys.
Local station in Minneapolis played this. It took 2 measures to recognize who it was. That says something.
Where was the local station? A restaurant?

Absolutely fantastic song! And key change at 3.50 is genius!!!!

I’m so glad you’re back. Benjamin would be so proud.

Wow. That was gorgeous.
Love the key change at the end. It makes the song grow larger.
This one gave me the chills.
It does sound sort of like something off of Tango in the Night. Except...you know....good.
