  • This is my absolute favorite EDC light as of Spring 2020! In this video I go over what specific characteristic makes this the best EDC light. The Surefire EDCL2-T features a 1,200 lumen output on high, 5 lumens on low, weighing 4oz, a height slightly less than 6 inches, bezel just over 1 inch, and ultra rugged; what else could one ask for!

    Saw this video of yours and went ahead and ordered it last week. Delivered yesterday and I'm loving it. Thank you.

    Ouch that's pricey... Great video ad will consider the surefire for sure. Great vids...can't stop watching. I'm in the same boat building my overlanding rig and videos are helping a lot.

    I have the E2D. I can't speak about the EDCL2-T since I've never handled it, but I love my SureFire. The E2D does have a click switch, and you can use the twist cap to shut the light off to eliminate the risk of running down the battery.
    Other things I love about the E2D, which I think the EDCL2-T cannot, is that you can put a lanyard on the twist cap, and you can stand it on the switch so you can use it to illuminate a room. It has an output of 1,000 and 5 lumen (instead of the 1,200 and 5 of the EDCL2-T), and it has a crenelated bezel to do some real damage if you need to use it as a strike tool.

    I respect your opinion that this fl is your best edc light, for me as an edc/edu guy it's not the best for me, I prefer the Streamlight 2LX or 1L 1AA in terms of practicality, price, battery even pocket carry. we all know surefire is one of the best in fact I got e2d led def (200lm) awesome fl.

    Love that light. I do have one question though. Will it accept an 18650 rechargeable battery,, or the streamlight battery?

    • @squaredawayeveryday
      @squaredawayeveryday  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it'll accept the 18650 rechargeable.

      It will NOT take an 18650. You'll need a 16650.

    Does the tail switch wobble at all when it is backed off for momentary use?

    Can you use 18650 batteries for it instead of the cr123a batteries?

    I enjoy the UI and simple operation but the pocket clip, like all Surefire pocket clips except the Tactician, totally sucks. I’ve broken about a half-dozen just from snagging. Overall it’s a fantastic light that caters best to ‘tactical’ use and not so much general use.

    I have the EDC1-t and is one my favorite. I need the bigger brother. The tactician similar and I love it too give a try

      The tactician is great for a fighting light, but for EDC I just can't get rid of the gas pedal tail switch!

    Olight is the way to go. I have around 18 different models of Olight and that's all I have used for over six years. I've owned all the other major brands and nothing compares to the Olight brand.

      What makes the Olights so much better than other major brands?

    • @GreyWolfe
      @GreyWolfe Год назад

      @@bloodymarvelous4790 I'm 62 years old and have owned probably every major brand. In my opinion, which is subjective like all opinions, I feel Olight is the best. It's all I have bought in the last six or seven years.
      Do the other major brands make good flashlights? Absolutely, I'm not knocking them, I just feel, through my experience, Olight is better.
      Have the other major brand come out with great flashlights in the past six or seven years? I'm sure they have, but, I wouldn't know because as I stated above, I've only bought Olights in that time.
      I'm the type of person that when I find a good brand I stick with it and Olight hasn't disappointed me yet.
