Tesla Model Y 21" Uberturbine wheel overview and thoughts on how it did cross country
Just in case you're wondering. That line on the center yoke pad is the airbag opening line. A crease is cut into the back of the pad so that when the airbag deploys, ithe cover always splits at the same point every time
Epic fucking car
This guy.
Just scraped mine after a year :/
15:56 Tesla just made an update where now it will honk on all the new model X and S
It only makes sense if the X was stear-by-wire
5:11 there was never a 6L Cummins offered, don’t round up the best engine ever made, the 5.9L Cummins
Hi friend, this is Devin from Hanssow and may i ask will you come back to this channel?
Love my Model X Plaid 🎉
that was 2.3 not 1.9, at 1.9 you were at 9mph not 0
This is a GREAT review of this car. Saved it to my car list favorites. Great job man!
Did you ever have the Pre Collision Sensor Malfunction from the bumper being in front of the sensor? Trying to find a solution for mine at the moment.
Have a 23 Model Y Performance and got it down to 3.3 with 90% charge and tires at 40psi
do you think those typical aluminum camper shells you can find on marketplace are capable of holding a wexge style roof tent?
Thanks for this review!
Do you still get the $7,500 federal credit being used ?
Most people like a little tire stretch. Tesla is just giving you that. Did you ever debead? Or just overanalyzing? Ive driven plenty of cars with far more stretch.
Appreciate the honest review. Been debating this for a while. I’m just going with side windows since i have a windshield shade cover for extended park hours
Thanks man. You are the best RUclips car reviewer hands down. We take possession of the Model Y performance in ultra red in 2 days. Can't wait. 😁
It would be awesome for you to do a video on the updated Tesla Model 3 Performance!?
I think it looks really nice considering this bumper on my 23 Trail Tacoma; I run the CBI dual swing out rear
I d run steel front back and underneath as an overlalander; re gear to 5.29 tune it and your gold
$79,990 in 2024...ouch! Great car though.
Do you experience the "shudder" issue in the front wheels/axel mentioned by some X owners..? Also corrected by an aftermarket control arm part....
looks sick
Will 17x9 Wheel +10mm offset compatible with 275x70/17 Tire with no rubbing on stock 2021 Tacoma?
Once a 🤑 bougie B always a bougie B 🤑….bougie b video…. B-ve video
No class, and little comfort - noisy and uncomfortable. In 2024, many other makers have same performance and range, but much better comfort.
I have a long range model 3 with the acceleration boost. Im definitely saving up for the plad. Im going all out no reason get the 2nd fastest when you can BE the fastest, lol
I just bought a performance last week. I love it. Amazing car. I do worry about scratching the rims though.
It’s like comparing BMW m5 to m550 or Audi S7 to RS7. If you’re a car guy, then just get Plaid , because you always gonna want one. Speaking from experience.
255/ 80 / r17 33.1 inch tire
255/80/r 17 no lift -- no rub - no cut a true 33.1 inch tire ! EASY and taller !
3 days from Colorado to Florida???? Thats insane. That's certainly no savings. It should be a full day and your there... No thanks.
I went alloy over steel due to weight and only wanting the bar for potential animal strikes. Steel has more potential to bend your chassis and cause worse passenger injuries in a hard crash aswell
I guess it only make sense if full auto driving is the norm. I prefer the wheel any day any time. And with stalks.
The Lucid Air Saphire is faster at 1.7 sec. Also has a greater range at 512 miles on a full charge. But you will pai about $180k for that performance. It's also a more luxurious sport car.
Can’t wait until mine is delivered!!
I put 50k on my MYP in 281 days. At 35k I changed my tires to Falken 275 and 295. Love my EV
Just got the Black Rhino Chambers w/ Goodyear Wrangler AT’s for my ‘24 Ram 1500.
Tesla needs to add a power feature to the FRUNK, and a proper armrest on the rear seat in the 5-pax model. It's your top-of-the-line vehicle. Come on Elon. I dumped the 21s on my 2022 MYP for some squared 18s from TSportLine. It's like an entirely different vehicle.
The arrangement that you spoke of 265/35 front 295/35 rear, for your wife’s car does not seem appropriate. I say this because that puts the the arrangement too much of a difference between the front and back., not sure if this matters but there’s only 20 difference between the factory 255/35 and 275/35. There is 30 difference between the numbers on your wife’s tire arrangement. I’m wondering how this affects the torque difference between the front motors and the back based on how it’s programmed by the factory would it be binding motor torque upon an acceleration? I have noticed that when you rotate tires or change tires, it goes through a small calibration when prompted to do so in the service menu setting, which it then says, do not hard accelerate for the first few miles, I’m not sure exactly what it’s calibrating. I would certainly like to know.
255/35-21 front 275/35-21 Rear Michelin Pilot sport all season came factory on my 2023 model Y performance, was built in September in the Fremont, California plant.
Are these Michelle better?
@@Jack-nighthawk I don’t have an answer for that, as I have not tried any other tires on my vehicle.. I will say that the Michelin seems rather soft. I believe I got Lucky on my model Y performance and that the alignment is spot on, I’m at 18 thousand miles as of right now. When it was brand new I had only 6 miles from factory. I had almost 9 mm of tread and currently I have a little over five. The rear tires wear faster than the front ones as my front tires are over 6 mm tread depth remaining.
Thank u sir @@CryptoPivot
I would think about this if my truck was damaged in a crash and I was going to have to have the front bumper components replaced anyway. I would probably have the bumper painted in body color to match my truck
Just put reflective tint on roof
Got my performance 2 weeks ago. Love the back exterior. I tinted all the windows to match the rears and it looks super sleek.
Thanks for the video. Would it be okay to just go 275/35/21 on all four?
Seems the data shows that if you keep it max at 80% you’ll have noticeably less loss over time. Supercharging frequency not so relevant.
Hey man nice video, Would just like to clarify for people your wheel has a -10 offset, not backspacing! They are separate measurements.
I have a 2023 long range it came with the 21” wheels I got a demo with 500 miles it’s was discounted 5k covered the wheel upgrade so I got the 20X10.5 square set up forged wheels I got the better handling was transformed the car 💯 the range was the same as with the 19” wheels that come with the car at no charge.
