is there any other way to change the axis assignments of my controller within the sim options itself as I use my Realflight TX controller which works with all the other drone racing sims but no options for reassigning axes within the TX itself..?
there must be some bug with the game right now.. I just downloaded it and tried to run it, when i get to the "choose VR or Real World" page, the cursor toggles left and right erratically and I cannot choose either option to start flying... bummer.
brilliant looking course, i hope they complete it, i use google earth simulator, with 3d maps, cities and mountains are great fun to fly in

hi andy , i bought the 22-1 rc cable in banggood for my flysky i6x , but in simulator the yaw(ch 4) it doesnt work . but in the transmitter display it show that its working. help please

That simulator you have there pays attention to detail. The video look staticy like you were in a real fpv goggle mode. So I think what they were trying to achieve there was that type of staticy resolution I don't think it's part of a bug in the game but it is really part of the game to give it realism which I find unique.

WOW! Very nice review! Thank you! I have just crossed with your video and I really like how detailed it is. I am the programmer of the RDS.
This version was very RAW as how you described it but this month we will publish the next, Alpha version. We would like to make the physics and controls to feel like flying with real drones and we will include new features like Time Trial, Racing modes with computer controlled AI opponents, offline and online multiplayer modes.
As how you seen we could involve the JJRC and EMAX manufacturers already and we will include many of their aircrafts and products.
Later in the game's lobby room the Computer option will be active where you will be able to purchase parts and drones from virtual money what you have collected. It will be like a Gran Turismo - NFS combination so there will be tuning features. Our main goal is to make a platform for manufacturers to showcase their products and to make a fun and continuously enjoyable game for everybody.

Also we will improve the website for mobile phone access but you don't want to download a PC game to your phone right? :D
Of course later we will publish the Real Drone Simulator for mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Windows Phone), consoles (Sony PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox...). For mobile versions we will find a combination of working USB adapters so people with USB OTG supported phones will be able to use RC Transmitters, gamepads to control the game on the phone directly and it will be possible to plug in for example Fatshark goggles to play with the sim. There will VR goggles support as well.

Perhaps you could modulirize (sp?) the quads so the manufactures could offer a download with just their quads, but users could install packs for other manufacturers if they want (and on your site, offer a download with all the packs available, as well as individual ones) ?
Or would that not work with your business model or something?
Good idea Tiago! We have already thought of creating a modular system. Users will need to visit the virtual Store, to purchase individual drones and parts. The game will based on career mode like in major racing games. There will be features to build custom drones from purchased parts on the Workbench menu.
It will be possible to build exclusive editions for manufacturers to include their products only in that version also.
We have also created a Sketchfab gallery for showcasing the models from the RDS. It is also possible to list items from a chosen manufacturer only.

AndyRC how do I get my flysky i6s to work with this simulator cause my throttle is on the right instead of how I want it to be on the LEFT ?
Tried this with a xbox controller :) Its a really nice way to get used to steering even if these drones dont compare to your own. The feel helps allot

Ive found it to be impossible to get either of my transmitters to work correctly in RDS. The thumb stick positions are all fuckd up and Ive tried resetting this up a ridiculous amount of times.

I've tried it with my FlySky i6 but the yaw stays on 0 when at either maximum or centred and only changes when moving it to the left. Doesn't work at all in flight. How can I fix this?

its just the usb lead that comes with the taranis. any usb lead will work providing it has both data and power capabilities

i get all mine from banggood but if you are based in the EU remember to flash it with the EU firmware otherwise it wont bind. if u have the international taranis then its no issue

Awful TX calibration - and this is the MOST important thing a FPV sim should provide: an easy, comfortable and just WORKING way to configure the TX. Freerider does this in a *PERFECT* way. Needs 10 secs only and your controls are calibrated. I really don't know why other sims still do it the complicated way. It's 2016 now...
Dear Mike vom Mars! As you could see the Real Drone Simulator had only the PRE-ALPHA version released which is only a very early and raw demo for people to be able to try.
Since the Pre-Alpha we have completely replaced the TX calibration. And you should know that we have used the Unity's default input mapping system which is not simplified.
The new calibration will be much more easier. I am developing the Real Dron Simulator mostly alone which takes lots of time and energy. Please be patient as this is a very complex and feature rich project. The Alpha version is coming soon with lots of improvements!
I am a software developer myself, so I totally understand how much time and energy goes into such a project. I really do. But that's why it is a good idea to focus on a good calibration method right from the beginning instead of re-writing it a couple of times. And the best calibration method I've ever seen in FPV sims is the method that Freerider uses. It's totally intuitive, quick and easy. I wish this could be a new standard with FPV sims. The calibration part is by now the most awful part with most sims available, although it's so crucial! :-(
Thanks for the recommendation! I have seen Freerider's input setup and another quite nice transmitter calibration which I like even more and it was in OpenPilot GCS. If you are not familiar with it then just imagine an animated transmitter which is guiding the user by moving the sticks.

( Two more Sim at the end ) OMG you have a lot of patience man ! LOL After I told you about this one I was unable to do anything with it . I contacted the guy that uploaded the teaser video that is on their website but he didn't explain to much at all so I ended up quitting, didn't want to waste time on it since I have other simulators. I hope they develop this to its full potential it seems promising and different. Love the track and the quality of the graphics and that there are some well known "toy" quads. i would say that it looks terrible, have a look on steam for an app called GameGuru, you can make a similar looking terrain in less than an hour.
Well yet another BOS program that is as enigmatic in it's approach to an easy sim to download but not install it seems back to the drawing board it might work for you but it is completely useless to me.

seven newtons. I run gta v in 4k at 50fps.... so so assume my pc is bad is making an ASS out of U and ME
AndyRC well, then it's not optimised I guess, I wouldn't say it's very graphics intensive then, because models and textures are pretty bad
