I bought one months ago and its great, changed the camera because mine was before the pro model, just buy it if you consider doing so, nice little thing for noobs and pros build quality is fine, the electronic to, so far after hour's of flying still great and flies fine. original camera had a small FOV and a dull color, new one is Caddx ant
No it does not come with a controller, pretty much every drone is not going to come with a controller unless it is part of a kit which then it will be clearly obvious that it comes with a controller

usually quads like this don't come with batteries and everything you need, so you'll have to buy batteries, battery charger, props, etc. flight distance is pretty decent but you can upgrade your VTX on this I think. I hope you enjoy your Potensic Atom too!
Do you think the HDZero whoop VTX and nano camera would fit in here? A quiet 3" HD freestyle quad would be perfect for flying in walking distance of my house.
Nice flying dude! Subscribed! I'm probably going to snag one of these to upgrade myself over time. You can apparently fit a rush 600mw vtx in there and ratel nano camera according to one of the dudes in one of my groups and get much better video signal. I have the Tinyape Freestyle 2.5", it flies lovely, not long got myself some SKYZONE COBRA X V2 box goggles with a DVR so looking forward to recording some flights on that myself!! Just waiting on some replacement props lol.
This seems like a good option. Not totally what I want but so much cheaper than anything else :D Also is there any way to increase the max uptilt? Like carve out the top plate a bit more, or is the camera connector the problem? Then maybe drill out new holes or is it not possible? Also I'm (not yet) totally about freestyle but wanted a bit more of a cinematic (maybe LR) quad, is it possible to add a GPS, and maybe 850mah lipo and the thumb Pro, then it's probably not really freestyle capable anymore but so much better for filming, or is that a bad idea? Yes and no. Natively without accessories no. This drone uses an analog system witch a phone does not have the built in electronics for. Instead of googles you could get a reciver that outputs a hdmi signal that you can plug into a monitor. Or they make small 5 inch monitors that have this tech built it. Though tbh as someone who had to do this because when I started googles were new and expensive it’s really not great. Googles offer a much better and clear sight of what’s happening

Nice quad, but why was it designed to not allow ANY camera uptilt? To get even the smallest uptilt requires the top and bottom plates to be loosened, asjust the tilt, then re-tightened.

I have a TBS BlackSheep Nano, and I never use it because it takes me like 15 minutes to get it to bind... Can I snag the VTX off of it, transplant it into this, and have a much better experience? I should have done a bit more research before I bought it, I realize, it might be integrated into the board.
Unfortunately with the Blacksheep nano everything is built into one board, so you wont be able to take just the VTX or receiver from that drone and use it on another. A standard 20x20 VTX should fit this frame fine though 👍

Hi, I’m reaching out for assistance with my drone. While flying, it briefly touched the ground, and I thought it was just a minor incident, so I disarmed it. However, unexpectedly, it shot back up into the air for reasons I don’t understand, and then it crashed hard. Unfortunately, it’s now broken, the motor is like pushed down and I’m unsure how to repair it. I’d appreciate guidance on troubleshooting the issue and any recommendations for repair options. Thank you for your help!

With this drone you'll need analog goggles, DJI goggles only work with DJI VTX's (Air unit, vista unit, O3 air unit) You can get a set of box goggles pretty cheap 👍

Great review man! Very well done. Great flying to. If I could add my thoughts. When I was looking for a 3 inch bnf I came across this little guy. It almost had my vote aside from 1 key issue. Longevity. Granted the drone is but 90 dollars, can't beat that with a stick. But you have to ask why...and how. I did. And found that to sell it for that cheap. The components must be purchased cheap. And cheaply made components will be replaced quicker than more quality ones. It's the only way Darwin is able to sell at such a low price point. I feel that in the long run. You'll be paying more to keep this in the air than you would if you sprung for a quad a tad bit more expensive. I found the crux35. And for 142 dollars (not that much more than 90) you get a quality product that, imo, will outlast 2 or 3 of these guys. Hasn't disappointed me yet. I'd be curious to see a review on the baby ape a few months of consistent flying. I'd wager a few components may need replacing
I agree, If you spend the extra $50 or so on a drone with more reputably made components it will last longer and be more durable. I'll post an update video or story in a few months on the baby ape and how its flying! Haven't heard of the crux35, I'll have to check that one out.
Comments like these bother me, yes, if you spend more you will get something that will last more, but that's not the point, those things are meant to be cheap to introduce more people to the hobby, you can't convince me to drop 150 bucks on a quad that i won't even know how to fly, 80 bucks? That's still too much for me, but maybe on a good month i could give it a go, you know what I'm saying? What I said is specially true in other countries, like here in Brazil, where 100 bucks is half of a months worth of minimum wage and with 50 bucks more you enter the "I'm eating raw noodles until the end of the month" territory
I'm not sure it could handle that kind of weight haha. I'm in the middle of figuring out how to mount a naked gopro on it 😉 If everything works out i'll be publishing a video on it lol.

For a controller I love my radio sate rpocket ELRS. You can change it between mode two (right throttle)(default) and mode 1 (left throttle) by tightening or loosening some screws.

Although it's nice that all of the screws require the same tool it would be ice to see them use hex bolts instead of Philips

How would you go about connecting the remote aswell as the headset to the drone?

i also hafe the 85 and a very similar 3inch quad to this. They fly different. The 3inch is much more freestyle capable and is just faster.

Could be that the throttle is not completely zeroed, a failsafe config, or fc settings like altitude hold
