Having 2 days to play with this sim I found a potential big issue with it. Its the quality of image settings. Unlike the original version on lower settings you get a worst looking graphics but you eliminate any stuttering and all the objects are still visible. In the new recharged version lowering the quality make stuff disappear until you get close enough like rocks, trees and other objects. That is huge issue at least for me. So the only way to negate this popping into existence is to have the game run at the best settings (even then popping up is present but much sooner on the horizon). The author stated this also and the only way to get better performance is to lower the resolution you running the sim. Unfortunately it cannot be done in game so you have to do it with a command line switch. And unfortunately if you go to the manual it have a small mistake in the switch -screen-fullscreen 0 that will make you window just a part of your screen and not having it in full screen. So to all who need it here is how you do it. 1.You make a shortcut of the exe file 2. Right click on it and open the properties 3. In the target you have to add this line at the end -screen-fullscreen 1 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 -popupwindow depending on the resolution you want to run it change the 1920 & 1080 numbers (The full path should be something like this C:\Users\MrZ\Downloads\FPVFreerider_Recharged\FPVFreerider_Recharged.exe -screen-fullscreen 1 -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 -popupwindow) This is for windows users but i think something similar should be on Mac also and probably the Mac users will be more affected by this running usually very high pixel count screens . I was affected by stuttering only on forest map even as I have a pretty beefy computer but running 4k native. hope this info helps you
Hello, sorry for the late reply, was very busy during this time. Well the main difference is in graphic quality and the maps are different. There are small difference in physics, but I dont really have any issues going from one to the other. The new recharged version is much more graphic hungry so you need a decent machine to run it smoothly as for the old version it will work on slower machines. For beginners I think the old version is better, it is a bit more technical in a way because most the tracks have gates so it forces you to learn precision. Anyway you cant go wrong with version. Best regards
Hi, I am not sure if you still can get the 50% off it had a time limit at the time I made this video. If its still on you just go and buy it and it will show the discount right away.
You drive very well, congratulations!
