Glencadam 10 is a gem. I can still find it for under $40 in NYC, and that's pretty amazing in 2022 for a full-integrity malt.

Love the Glencadam 10, I get huge candy violet sweetness from it

Thanks for this review! I had a few drams of this recently and last time I was a bit disappointed by its bitter taste, so I’m going to follow your advice and add just a little bit more water, hope that helps! :-)

Glencadam 10 is a really good bottle for the price. The 15 and 21 year olds are great but the prices have been climbing a bit too much. I have enjoyed the 10.

Of course juiciness and grasiness. But what more I wasn' expect on whisky nose of vanila creamy jogurt smell 😅 and wine... Almost champagne on taste. Great stuff!

That's some curious tasting notes indeed! I know some friends that definitely agree on the wine note and since they're wine drinkers they found it easier to like Glencadam 10 than other whiskies they had tried before 🙌🏼

Would love to hear your thoughts on the 15. Wish I could find the 10 under $40 (wow), but I still have several bottles in reserve that I got for around $50. (It is pushing $60 now.) A true favorite. I also enjoy the 13 and 15, but find myself reaching for the 10 over the older ones, interestingly. I have an uncracked 21 that I’ll open for some special occasion. I bought it partly because I had the “Malt Mention” in Ralfy’s review of it, but sadly that review seems to have disappeared from RUclips. (Though he re-reviewed it shortly after.)

Will have to do the 15 soon again! It’s one of my favourites ☺️

Someone recommended this when I said I was looking for a more mature rounded Classic Laddie. Guess this isn’t it haha? Any recommendations?

Maybe it’s me. Because I compare everything and I shouldn’t do that. I’ve tasted the 10 a few months after tasting the fabulous 21. I wasn’t impressed with the 10. Don’t get me wrong, the majority from cadam are fantastic. I must say due to the corona virus my smell and taste were quite uh what’s the word for that?

Nothing wrong in comparing whiskies - some just don't impress us and sometimes it's just personal preference and sometimes it can be timing ☺️ Hope your senses will return to what they were soon as well - I know the virus has affected some people more than others...

@@swedishwhiskygirl hear hear. Another fabulous 10 yo is the eagle rare Kentucky bourbon. Bottled at 45 % abv. Have you tried this one already. Very affordable but stunning release from buffalo trace distillery. And I’m all better now. Taste and Smell are back in business but if i wanted to I could sleep all day. It’s made me very tired. Others too so I’ve heard
