    Hi everyone,
Just tried this one again as I was editing, and whilst the nose was pretty much the same, I found way more of that wine influence on the palate through almost burned toffee, pear pie, autumnal fruits along with the murkiness that reminds me of autumn leaves. The spice has definitely calmed down since that first neck pour and it’s seriously tasty in my opinion 🙌🏼🍂
Going to try and revisit the whiskies when I try them straight out of a new bottle to add a comment like this describing the differences to offer a wider experience of the whisky ☺
Would of course love to hear what your experience was - if you’ve also been able to compare neck pours to drams once it’s calmed down!

Old Pulteney is an excelent go to Whisky....let it open up in the glas for 10 min, and Old Pulteney can take a few drops of water. I LOVE this one still and always have a bottle of these at home, and may stock up a few if on a good sale.

Hi, Thanks for your nice review. As an Old Pulteney fanboy I have different bottles at home. Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of the Coastal here in Germany yet. But I found a nice Pineau des Charentes in my stash. I just opened it and it was very delicious. I experienced raspberries, black currants and in the background Cognac. Very tasty. Looking forward to getting a bottle or a sample maybe of the Old Pulteney Coastal. Cheers from Germany

I just finished a sample. From the nose it is very promising whisky. From the taste it is a bit sharp spicy but also sweet. It is good but the price that they are asking in Germany, 90 EUR, is too much. It is a NAS whisky in the end. Cheers from Germany

Love your reviews. Although here in the Mid-West of USA it is rare to see ANY of these whiskey. However, I can get the same Advent Calendar from the UK. Do you know which one you will get.......if you do one again. THANKS!
