I like that red caboose. Back in the day before FREDs, defect detectors, & dragging defect detectors, a freight train wasn't complete without a caboose at the end. The jobs the FREDs, defect detectors, & dragging defect detectors do were all done manually from the caboose by the conductor & brake man who rode in it back in those days.
Yes it is a great town. I live in western, NY but stayed at an airbnb not far from where Jawtooth was filming in the first part of his video when I visited I 2022. We could see the trains going by right from our back yard.
Brian, I think you hit on the formula - do the full length and then do highlights of that day in the shorts. I'd do a good crop/resize for the shots for better subject centering. Cinci is a great name for the puppy BTW.
UK/Good vid and excellent location and good shot of the bridge, takes some weight with those trains. The examinations and maintainance of it will be a massive task, need a head for hights!
Cool video JT! Thanks 👍. Wilmore looks like a nice little town amidst some beautiful scenery. 😊 Good trains today and a really big, high beefy trestle. Your cat is so cute. Looked like it was telling the dog, hey, pay attention! I want to play! Pets are so adorable. I really enjoy seeing them all. 😊❤
Hey Jaw Tooth, Great trains going through Kentucky first at Wilmore and then High Bridge and as always another great video of trains and the crossings where you get to see the best part of the cities Thank You Jaw Tooth and God Bless You. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Great Video JT. Love that railfanning spot next to that red caboose. Looked cool in the early evening light. The noise of the trains over that trestle is fantastic. Thanks for getting back there with Scotty 1960Gambit.
I see at 11:35 to whites on the overhead signal and a red meaning you must stop at the next signal that means that the southbound is going to switch to the other track but waiting on this current one to pass before switching likely due to customer requesting cars to be dropped off and the spur is on the other track. I guess another train pased by on that two white ones or the dispatcher switched it back to clear signal but must stop at the next two signals since 2 red.
Nice video of trains that you caught at WIlmore, Kentucky and the High Bridge over the Kentucky River on 24 May 2023, Jaw Tooth! That first Norfolk Southern grain train had a lot of former Chicago & North Western Railroad green colored covered grain cars in the consist. The former CNW covered grain hopper cars either had faded CNW Logos or the CNW logos were partially painted over. There appeared to be several different reporting marks on these cars. The High Bridge over the Kentucky River is a magnificent structure. I watched your short video of this video that you posted that showed the two people on the bridge before a train came across the bridge. Luckily, the bridge is double tracked so the people on the bridge were not in immediate danger if a train came across the bridge. Hopefully, you will have another video of trains on the High Bridge taken on 24 May 2023.
I was there in 2022, the Caboose in the village is the Caboose Museum. Unfortunately, they're seasonal only open in the summer time. I'm going back over Easter weekend this year to see High Bridge at High Bridge Park to see a train or more than one go across the high bridge as well. They have a Bay Window caboose at High Bridge Park as well that you can get on but can't go into. It's 275 feet compared to Letchworth State Park's span bridge that spans 800 feet across the Genesee River that bridge carry's Norfolk Southern trains on they're southern tier line in Western, NY.
I picked up a Kenwood Handheld TK-250 and I really love this model. I had one years ago. I am glad I have one again. The audio is nice and loud and clear. The model I have is a 32-channel and I don't think I can expand it to 128. There was a model that had 128 channels, which would be a perfect railroad radio. It has to be programmed using dost software with a 9-pin Serial Port which is a bit of a pain. But it's a nice solid radio really takes a beating 💓
I think I am in an alternate reality. Sure... there are trains, the sound of Señor Jaws talking... but NO Hawaiian shirt. Oh! No! It's always something new with these videos. Maybe I should just go get breakfast... at McDonald's... you know... the place of the plaid arches. Gracias por tu video... whoever you are. RT sends, Puebla, México...
Great good video, mr Jaw Tooth. More from Kentucky and Virginia c.q. West -Virginia. And when your back at home is there : Norfie. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
That is one big bridge!!! Tennessee- my daughter and I got to stay the night in one of the train cars n Chattanooga train 🚂 station- great swimming pool there!!!
Those freights were rolling like rush hour on the freeway both directions and no intermodal today That first train was like being in Iowa with all those former CNW cars. And we were Off to the Races with cars and chemicals. The bridge at Kenova is large but when compared to High Bridge its dwarfed. For some reason that train on the bridge took on a feel of Noah's Ark and that many of the cars were grouped by owner size or paint. Two preserved cabooses close together in small town USA with JT capturing all the rail excitement.
Really cool video with lots of action! Always great to see a caboose. That bridge was massive, as you said. It made the train look like a toy train going over it! And yes, they definitely need to prune a few 🌳 🌲 so you can see the bridge from the lookout.
Hey JawTooth Great video Appreciate your hard work Something you might want to check out I believe that theirs a place in North Carolina You can drive a freight engine 🚂
Next time you're in Wilmore, go to Drake Lane to the closed bridge over the tracks. You can get a cool video of trains running in the gorge the tracks set in.
Nice caboose. Can you go inside or is it just for display? That first train was wasting no time. Nice adrenaline rush. Nice catches. Have a happy Memorial Day 😊🌈
I pulled out my old Realistic PRO-30 Model 20-131UHF v Hi LO-air programmable hand-held scanner. Frequency Range: 30-54MHz, 108-136MHz, 138-174MHz, 380-512MHz Power 9Volt DC NEG. GND. Made in Japan not China. While this baby might be old, it still works properly. I also have a Bearcat 2M hand-held ham radio.
When I do real fanning on the NS Pittsburgh Line, I have had a harder time hearing defect detectors, and I don't know if it's because my scanner is getting old or because defect detectors are going kaput.
Cool Caboose there, also a nice trestle

It still seems like something is missing.
Those bridge trusses are huge! Another great piece pf engineering and architecture.
It was cool seeing the old C&NW covered hoppers. Another great location from small town America. Excellent video JT, enjoyed it immensely.
Good morning I enjoyed that video👍👍
❤ these small towns you find the resident’s all seem to take pride in their small town .
Yep, Wilmore is even a college town. It's home to Asbury University not far from the tracks.
Excellent explanation about the Rathole Line, JT. Keep up the great work.
Hi JT Happy Memorial weekend I hope you and family have a great weekend ❤❤❤
Great video! 160.515 is the same channel that UP uses here in Arkansas on the Little Rock sub. Thats cool. That bridge is cool! Thanks for sharing!
Cute lil’ town. That bridge is magnificent, wow. Enjoyed the trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.

That NS train was booking.
The trains looked so small on the bridge, that was awesome. That must have been amazing in person. Thanks for sharing Jaw Tooth, God Bless.

That rail was made in Pueblo, CO at what used to be the CF&I mill.

Nice caboose. Can you go inside or is it just for display? That first train was wasting no time. Nice adrenaline rush. Nice catches. Have a happy Memorial Day 😊🌈
Good morning Jaw Tooth 😍 😊😊
Was at cass railroad today saw someone that looks like you filming
EVRAZ is the old CF & I, now owned by Russians. Uses scrap steel instead of iron ore. Plant is in Pueblo CO
I see RJ Corman on the red caboose.👍
I've noticed that Norfolk Southern defect detectors do not give an axle count, unlike BNSF, and CSX which does give an axle count.
What did you do for a living. Did you work for the railroad? You are very knowledgable about trains.
Good Morning Jaw Tooth.
Nice freight trains!
Great I love that bridge ,its a monster
Thanks for watching !
Awesome video👍👍
Need to go back to Lexington an flim
Jaw Tooth, regarding the age of the bridge at High Bridge, you wouldn't happen to know when it was built,do you?
Formally dedicated in 1879, it is the first cantilever bridge constructed in the United States.
Nice Video
Awesome video jaw tooth.
Those are smooth tracks. They must be new
When it was Rathole in Southern days a decade in steam the engine crews had to wear gas masks because of frequent tunnels.

Old cnw hoppers let’s go son! Lol
I don’t know if the deal is done or if it’s held up, but reportedly NS has a 1.6 billion dollar deal to acquire the CNO&T in place.
When I do real fanning on the NS Pittsburgh Line, I have had a harder time hearing defect detectors, and I don't know if it's because my scanner is getting old or because defect detectors are going kaput.
Have you ever been to Anderson Indiana lot of train actually there
Cool vid
