- Today we look into what Steve Harris has said about the future plans of Iron Maiden, along with some speculations of my own, on what we will see coming up soon.

I will shit my pants if I hear ''To Time A Land'' live !
Same!
I'll shit my pants and die from happiness.
I think a 50th anniversary tour is likely, but it'd be nice if we could another studio album sooner than later. If the next album comes out in 2026, that would be a five-year gap between 'Senjutsu' (2021) and the supposed new album. Granted, better than six years, but with the band members getting older, time is precious and who knows what could happen in the next couple of years. Plus, it would be cool for them to go on tour promoting new material. However, if they do this 50th anniversary tour without a new album (which will probably be the case), I would love for Iron Maiden to bring back stuff from 'Dance of Death' (2003), which I've been digging a lot recently.
All good points. As for Dance of Death I agree! Half of the reason I didn't do a setlist video in this is because I have 2 on stand by lol. One that's kind of a Legacy of the beast 2.0, another that's a post reunion 2.0. 2000-2021. This year is the 25th anniversary of this lineup and next year is the 25th anniversary of Brave New World? But who knows
@@metalheadcarshow Ah ok. It's interesting you bring up the 25th anniversary of 'Brave New World' because that would be cool if Iron Maiden brought back stuff from that album too! I know they played "The Wicker Man" more "recently," but I'd love to hear "Ghost of the Navigator" and "Dream of Mirrors." Maybe even play "The Fallen Angel" and "The Thin Line Between Love and Hate." the latter being my favorite track on the album. But then again, gotta give love to other albums too.
The band needs to play songs from every album! Leave songs at home that they always play, like Iron Maiden, The Trooper, and The Number of The Beast. They need to play rarities, like The Talisman, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, Dance of Death, The Book of Souls, The Parchment, Shadows of the Valley, When the Wild Wind Blows, etc.
i hope they play only the good die young
I really hope too!
@@nuttyDeedee I love that song so much and the bass is crazy let’s pray🙏🙏
That would be such a treat. Could make a wild closing song for the set too
fr that would be a sick closer moonchild would be a cool opener i love seventh son of a seventh son album btw
I heard Bruce in an interview say he’d love to do a tour where they play all the epics. I’d love if they could pull off Empire of the Clouds on the next or future tour.
That's such a tricky song just because of the length. Maybe during a London show, final song of the set
Yeah great news from Steve about new tracks and tours if i remember just before senjutsu came out i saw an interview with Adrian Smith and when asked about a new album he said what new album shortly after that senjutsu was out so you never know
We'll get another one. Just not yet
When the band calls it quits one day, I hope they give us a four hour concert!!!! Yes, a four hour show is a rarity, but the band is legendary, and it needs to treat it's millions of fans decently if they are going away!
And for their third and final encore ever, come back out on stage to play a 20 minute version of The Angle and the gambler
I think planning out your schedule two years in advance is crazy. I had to purchase my IM tix for November this time last year and felt strange doing it. And I'm way younger than the band.
I think they said they started planning the Future Past Tour in 2021. Does sound crazy, but it's a lot of logistics and prep for a tour like that
If a 50th Anniversary tour doesn't happen I will buy a hat and I will eat it! There's no way Maiden won't do anything for that milestone.
I doubt it will happen but some songs I would like to hear on the 50th tour: Dream of Mirrors, Man on the Edge, Paschendale, Futureal, Judas Be My Guide, Killers, Purgatory, Sea of Madness (I'm rather sad they haven't played that on The Future Past Tour so far), Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, Empire of the Clouds... There's so many, man! Again it will never happen but imagine hearing Ancient Mariner and then Empire of the Clouds back to back! 🤯
I would be more than happy with all of those! Ya I don't think the next tour will be a new album, and as you said. The 50th is too big to ignore. Empire? I would love to hear it. And I know Bruce wants to do it. It's just dedicating 18 minutes of set to it
Let’s face it: Nicko is 72, Steve is almost 70, the rest of the band are in their mid 60s. If there is some time left for them is little. Been a Maiden fan for 38 yrs, I will be very sad the moment comes, but noone should have high hopes.
We all know if will eventually come. And I think we would all rather see the band wrap it up instead of get new members and drag it on. But if they are all happy, and the performances are great, and people still coming out to see them. Let's just enjoy that
I think they're at a point now of not what to play, but what are they physically able to play... Especially since Nicko's health scare.. Also Bruce is pretty worn out on the latter part of the shows since 2018 ...
I'll agree with Nicko. As you likley know. If he can't play something maiden just won't play it anymore. Could make for another video on songs maiden won't play again. As for Bruce, I don't think there's anything he won't play, but I think we probably won't be hearing many highs or screams anymore
Nobody wants the whole thing to end up as a band with no original members who play boring versions of songs from the good old days.
Nah, maidens at the point where if anyone where to quit or die they would just wrap it up
When the band calls it quits one day, I hope they give us a four hour concert!!!! Yes, a four hour show is a rarity, but the band is legendary, and it needs to treat it's millions of fans decently if they are going away!
