I don't know why everyone think because Monster died in a tent that he was homeless. homeless he was not, he had money he chose to live like that. People keep saying why nobody didn't help him we don't all live together he lived in Oceanside. He probably had more money than us. Monster was still getting paid from all his past books and interviews books. The lady that found him was not his wife, and his death was ruled by the coroner as a heart attack. So what ever reason he chose to live out there was his own, it wasn't because he was broke, homeless or doing bad.

To everyone saying Monster died alone. We all die alone even if we die in a crowd. Rest in Power to a real one
Please know he had mad family around
Exactly

That's real talk homie
Nice vigil . Very peaceful , exactly what he would have wanted. I had the opportunity to read the first book and I was flabbergasted, yet intrigued. Couldn't put it down. Just ordered the 2nd book. I respect Monster for turning his life around and trying to unite blacks the way they should be. Nobody is perfect, but at least he tried. Rest well Monster....
Peace be yours ,kody, frm toxteth liverpool UK.. I read the book many yrs ago , peace light n love to all , the unity I see n feel here , got a tear rollin dwn my face
Was that Big Phil from 40, I haven’t seen him in 38 years, wow! In my Kam voice “This is one for the history books” RIP Cody, and one love from Athens Park!!!
You know someone named Vincent "lil Zigzag" Carnes, from Athens?? I did some time with him in CYA, in 1993.
Naw, I was up out of there by then! I was active between 78-88.
Big Phil was my homie back in the day and yes he was 40s

Rest well Kody....One day we'll be together the entire Tribe of Israel we will be lost no more.
You ain’t the tribe of Israel. Your salvation comes from the blood of the Lamb of God JESUS CHRIST! Ephesians 2:8-9
Nope. Dark gloomy dungeons of eternal despair.
Even though Cuz wasn't on his Deen, He was still under his Shahadda. Therefore he is Muslim.
That's right Ach!!We are the TRUE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.Rest in Peace to all of our Brothers. Shalom.

If life could bring unity among the Black community the way that death does: we will be a strong people. MOB in Peace Comrade Monster Cody
Handsome, charismatic, intelligent, larger-than-life. I'm sad it had to end that way for the man Cody Scott. I hope he made his peace with the Lord---RIP Monster :(
@@blueskyy43 Ahh shit I'm sorry, I spelt it with a C not a K. Ya I read the book twice. But "his mama call him Kody, Ima call him Kody." Remember that from 'Coming To America' lol ?
Appreciate THE FOOTAGE MR TOWNSEND!! ✌🏽😎
Nice to see the OG's " Monster Kody 's book was the first book I've ever read that talked about how I grew up in the crip culture of Long Beach back in the late 70's & 80's . It wasn't popular or cool " it was real gang banging " that RTD was a trap
Thank you for documenting this. All love & peace between sets and the only ones tripping are the police. Says a lot about who the real enemy of Black unity and liberation is. Rest in Power Sanyika "Monster Kody" Shakur. About to go read his book Stand Up, Struggle Forward.
Was at a bar one night meet a guy an he told me to get the book monster cody an read it the next day i checked it out the library read it in one day loved it hade a son he is 26 an named him cody rip monster cody

Amen. 🙏🏾
Thats the new tourist destination. Much love 83rds...New Orleans sending much respect🧢🕶
I purchased the brothers book. About 2 years ago. Loved it. RIP M. Kody
I been telling people that.. I was starting to get mad at these goofy folks saying that..
Thank you for putting it out there.
Monster strike me as the type who wanted to escape the rat race and sought out solitude.
@@larose6551 your welcome
Heartfelt condolences 💐 sending my respect to mr Scott ‘ monsta kody ‘ family .. from the east coast / New York City 🌃
I may not live in Cali anymore, but i feel this just the same. Paying my RESPECTS!!! What up South Park!👍
Is that Fatty who was fighting wit Rick brother right before the war kicked off?
Man how things come full circle...I believe that Mump and Pretty have been to Monsta's house when they was younger and they was all tight and then the war.....must be some mixed feelings ,but in the end I think that we remember more of the good times. Skipp is always in the house showing love ,thanks Skipp for all that you do.MIP
Spent many of Days and Nights on that Corner in the 80's and 90's back when Tom's market was Tom's Liquor and the Chevron Station was A Valero! RIP Kody!
Was that mump in there?
This shit bring big tears to my eyes! Seeing rollin 60’s and eight tre’s together with no Bullshit! The way got wants it to be! Let’s keep the peace going! I hated seeing Crips separated
First of all I want to give my condolences and respect to Mr Cody's family and friends. Thank you for bringing a wonderful Soul until this world he saved my life the first book I read end-to-end cover-to-cover. It was his book I was in criminal justice class and my teacher gave me that book cuz she knew I was headed down the wrong path and that saved my life literally and I saved a bunch of my other people's lives when I put them up on it I want to thank you once again for bringing a beautiful soul God forgives all and we'll see him on the other side God bless.
Much respect too all the OGs rolling 60s came out to show respect for another member monster Cody.R.I.P.Monster cody
I think they're celebrating his death. Him being frontline and hardliner by keeping the G mentality is hard to bring peace to both sides.
Mortal Enemies settn the shit asside for a real frontline G that is huge
They used to be ONE set before the BS
Oakland family representing for you, Big Cousin! All love!
Awe man, glad I found this. New subscriber. RIP Kody....... 🙏💪

one of many things ive learned from watching your channel and many others on LA gang bangin is, yall might have hated ya enemies but had respect for the real
Ware were all these people at wen he was alive living in a tent..he might still be alive
Respect big skip..real O.Gs coming together on this day..nothing but salute
The sad thing about this is the younger generation will still kill each other because they don’t respect their OG’s. and it won’t be until they get older (if they make it) that they will do this very same thing. 😞
Didn't know monster Kody passed R.I.P. remember when the homie passed me his book in 5th grade. Real memorable book. I always checked for him from time to time.
