I love how, when Rue dies, a lot of people assume "Oh, Katniss is gonna switch on and go super-deadly now" and instead Katniss responds by weeping in grief, covering her in flowers, and offering a salute of respect to the Districts. She responds with empathy and humanity, and THAT is what galvanizes the masses to start rebelling and rallying. Just such a lovely twist on conventional expectations.
Haymitch is definitely an interesting and complicated character. Imagine being forced to fight to the death as a teenager, winning, and then once a year for 24 years mentoring two children from your community who die brutally every time. I'd be an angry, jaded, fatalistic alcoholic, too.
Not so fun fact: in the books the big dogs were either fashioned after or made from the dead tributes. Like they were strangely human and katniss could recognize the individual tributes. That made my skin crawl.
Yeah the wolves had eyes identical to the dead tributes, and the same fur color and texture of the tributes as well. With collars numbered by their districts
LOL, just wrote a comment similar to yours, then I saw you: "It's actually even worse with the dogs in the books: It's implied that they've got something strangely human about them - that they've somehow been "constructed" through the remains/biology of the murdered tributes, and are now sent to both haunt and kill the remaining survivors." Yeah, absolutely grotesque detail which served to underline how the Capitol and Game Masters viewed the tributes and their districts - or perhaps how they viewed life in general - something to be molded and dehumanized to suit their entertainment/purposes. No dignity is granted, no hard line not to cross. Something which is underlined throughout the series: The tributes/districts serve at the Capitol's pleasure, and only for their amusement and ease of comfort.
PLEASE watch all of the Hunger Games movies! This series is so so good and emotional and I think you’ll really love the whole story from beginning to end.
Oh mate, absolutely! I really enjoyed this first one and i'm so excited to get through the rest. I just don't wanna watch them too quickly and then they're over 😅
@@JackDanReact Watch them soon so you can watch the prequel too! The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! It answers so many questions you asked and mirrors many of your comments. New watcher here!!!
This is the first time I've ever seen literally anyone see Cinna as creepy, it's really not like that at all lol, he's just sympathetic and trying to be comforting
Ive heard others question it, not sure if it's because they suspect the capitol people aren't to be trusted or because we are so over sexualized as a society they can't see a man giving a girl he probably knows doesn't have a dad anymore & will be dying soon a finally moment of parental love & support.
Fun facts from the first book: 1. Katniss actually “drugged” Peeta to get him to go to sleep so she could go to the “feast” (get the meds for him) 2. Peeta was quite literally on the verge of death when Katniss found him. He literally had blood poisoning and if Katniss didn’t go to the feast he would’ve died like that night 3. Katniss didn’t actually “mercy kill” Cato, he was eaten by the mutts, Peeta and Katniss were both too weak to do it 4. Peeta and Katniss did actually eat the berries, they just had to spit them out/ throw them up 5. When Peeta and Katniss “met” or when he gave her the bread they were about 11/12, Katniss’ mother was literally in such a deep depression that she literally didn’t do anything so Katniss stepped up, and that’s why she’s more of the caregiver in the family, but they were starving and she went out and she stopped outside of Peeta’s family bakery and then the scene happens, so after that Katniss really sees Peeta as a symbol of hope 6. Peeta and his brothers were actually abused by their mother, but it’s kind of hinted at that she was especially cruel to Peeta 7. It’s kind of shown in the movies but Katniss really has a “resentment” towards her mother after her father died (understandably because she literally had to do everything for the whole family at the age of like 11/12) 8. Gale wasn’t as much of a love interest as the first movie makes him seem. 9. Peeta actually lost his leg (not from infection but from the mutts) and had to get a prosthetic and Katniss had to find out while they were filming her reaction 10. Peeta’s father actually at one point wanted to marry Katniss’ mother… so that was a thing I guess 11. It’s not clear which one but we know that the wolf mutts were either made out of the dead tributes or were made to look like the dead tributes to Peeta and Katniss 12. Oh and the people in the capital wanted to give Katniss like plastic surgery and cinna convinced them not too
katniss did mercy kill cato but many hours after the mutts started attacking him, because he was wearing a full body type of armor that covered him except for his hands, feet and face; when it was already morning and he was still alive, the last arrow katniss had left was used for a tourniquet for peeta, she removed it to kill cato and guarantee peeta would get medical help faster
Also a fact from the book, that anoyed me from the start, because it changes the backstory of the Mockingjay pin and therefor the whole first act. Because book one is about Katniss wearing that pin openly....because. 1. That pin is not "found" by her on the blackmarket, but given to her (after the reaping) by her only friend in Distikt 12, Madge Undersees, the Mayors daughter 2. The pin belonged to Madges aunt. Maysilee Donner. Maysilee was reaped at the age of 16, during the 50th games (the games Haymitch won) she was killed by mutated Flamingos. That pin was Maysilees Distikt token. 3. Maysilee was the best friend of Katniss mom 4. Every Tribute is allowed one token from home and it is examened over days. While Katniss could keep the pin, The girl from District 1, Glimmer, couldnt keep her ring, because it was found to contain poison. 5. Putting the pin on in secret wouldnt work in the books, because every tribute is weight before beeing lifted into the arena. Any difference in weight would trigger an explosion, killing you on the spot. One year, a boy lost his token on the plattorm and the loss of these 2-3 gramm BOOM

@@nickodimas35 Yeah Ive always seen the two theories that nightlocke only grows on the outside of District 12 and thats why Katniss knows about them but not Peeta or that she took herself out 'cause she had no chance.
@@vphoria4688the book never states clearly that it was a accident. Thus the speculation of the two are valid. I like to think she knew. She saw that the only ones left were heavy hitters plus the arena is brutal. She prolly seen it as a painless way to go out.
Peeta lost his leg as a result of his injuries in the games, but that is left out of the movies. Being an amputee has an impact on his abilities and how people view him later on. Just something to remember if you see him struggling or people worrying about him!
Many are mad they left that out but I think the end wraps up more smoothly without a more drawn out reveal with Caesar. In the next film his abilities I don't think come into play enough in the book or film for it to ever actually be needed as a plot point.
@@orphanedhanyou Kind of, but it makes him seem more helpless and clumsy in the second movie, rather than injured, still healing, and having trouble walking. It doesn't impact the story, but it does impact the character a lot, how he is perceived by the movie audience etc.
And Katniss is deaf in an ear from the explosion she causes when she blows up the supplies! The first games leave lasting disabilities as a constant reminder.
@@disneytoysr4fun975 He's so obviously a gay man. He is an artist and mentor and she is his muse. Their relationship is not romantic, sexual, or creepy at all. It's almost fatherly in the same way Haymitch is. They are both fatherly/motherly aspects for a girl who has no real parents.
To be fair, that's exactly how grooming works. The adult befriends the kid, makes them feel like they can really rely on and trust them. Then how can you turn down an unwanted advance, from the person you trust and care for? To be clear, I'm not saying that Katniss is a kid, or that she was being groomed, and I don't think Cinna is ill-intentioned at all. But he is very intimate, and the way it's framed is problematic. From what we see on screen, he most absolutely isn't asking her for consent for that level of intimacy (touching her hair, kissing her cheek), and she never explicitly gives it. But he is in a position of power over her, and he's basically her only friend in that place, which gives her a lot of incentive to let it happen even if she doesn't want it. I never saw Cinna as creepy, but I think they did still have a point here.
56:25 Is so funny to me that every reactor always ask where Peeta found a mirror to do his camouflage, while in front of his hiding spot is a river, or none don't think of water reflection?
I mean most times water reflection doesn't really allow you to see anything precise, you might glimpse a decent image of yourself in a puddle in the street with good lightning but in most natural places you won't see more than silhouettes - and even then the clearest reflections you'll find is when the water is still. In this case, that river is really not going to do much. Still, it's a nice explanation for the movie, hadn't thought of that before
@@semperfi2314I think the section he was at would’ve been still enough for him to get a general look at himself. To be fair stone and moss is messy and never uniform so he wouldn’t have needed a super clear image to do a good job
Haymitch is one of fave characters and i'm glad you came round to him. You've got to remember that he has seen 46 children that he's mentoured die, 2 per year for 23 years. It was the 50 yr anniversary of the hunger games for Haymitch so he had a special one with double the contenders 48 . He also Won his games by messing about with the boundaries of the arena and was punished by having his whole family killed. So Katniss really got off lightly. The Winner gets a lot of money and a big house and potentially sold into underage sex slavery, so its great you caught onto those undertones.
@@Oc3an_Ang3l Yeah, sadly. President Snow sexually traffics victors if they are desirable enough to the capitol elite. Winning isn't really winning when it comes to the hunger games.
@@Oc3an_Ang3l yeah, finnick was sold into sex slavery, and he was literally the youngest victor, so it's just fucking disgusting. I think Johanna was also ordered to do as she was told, but she refused so they killed her whole family as punishment.
The 3 finger salute is a sign of respect or “parting of a loved one” used in the lower districts (10-11-12th) and it’s seen a a sign of rebellion. If you’re book fans I highly recommend reading the books, such an important metaphor for the world atm. Specially how even in the movies they use hunger as a weapon
32:47 I think you missed that it's her pin. He gave it to her and stopped her from saying anything because she wasn't meant to have it. Cinna only views her as a young girl whose life is on the line, it's not sexual or romantic in any way. To her, he's one of the few people she can actually trust in The Capitol.

@@thomasnieswandt8805 You're mostly correct, except in the last one. It was a girl whose token was a small wooden ball. It accidently slipped out of her hand and then BOOM.
They're not able to explain it in the movie, but Katniss only missed the first shot when she was supposed to be showing off for the rich guys because she was used to homemade bows, which require the user to compensate for imperfections. She'd never used a manufactured bow that shoots dead on.
Ah mate I'm so glad you said that! I was a little apprehensive about this one, coming off a streak of horror movies I was hoping you'd all still enjoy the choice of movie 😅
It's not explained super well in the movie, but the tributes from 1, 2, and 4 train for the hunger games from an early age, and then volunteer when they're 18. They're called careers. The career pack then works together for most of the games to hoard supplies and hunt down other tributes, and win way more often than the other districts. Training for the games is technically illegal, which is why the other districts don't do it, but the career districts get special privileges from the Capitol and are more well off.
The fact that you got so riled up over the tributes that were laughing at Peeta training, Jack, was honestly super admirable 😂 maybe the shit mood is just manifesting as rage at bullies 😂
1:04:00 Those berries are actually native to the forest outside of District 12. That’s why only Katniss recognized them. Foxface was from another district, and Peeta (like pretty much everyone in 12) never snuck out past the fence.

Cinna is giving her the loving support of the father he knows she doesn't have & what could be the last kind moments she ever knows. Our society is so sexualized that this innocent gesture is too often assumed as gross.
Agreed. Affection from men is easily misconstrued because of how often predators use it, but the vast majority of men are not abusers like that. But they've essentially been trained they can't be as free with their love and affection because of the negative stereotypes. Men get a bad rep for such simple things imo. As a total aside, if you haven't heard Dax's "To Be a Man" you really should, it's beautiful.
Tho this is the first time I've seen Cenna interpreted this way. There's some healthy possible mistrust in movie one due to the fact he's from the capitol, but never seen the creep interpretation until now.
Jack, sweating and gripping the chair at noon on a Saturday watching a Disney movie, eyes wide: "They'll never catch me out again. Never relax, never surrender!" That unexpected dog jumpscare, you nearly launched yourself into orbit, bravo!
Hahaha i'm starting to think that's the only way i can enjoy a movie peacefully from now on is if that Disney intro is played 😂 That dog jumpscare absolutely sent me, i felt like i was there with Peeta 😅
The ending is so much more brutal in the book: The large dogs are made with the DNA of the dead tributes and Katniss notices when she sees one of them with Rue’s eyes. Peeta actually loses a leg because it gets bitten severely by the dogs as he’s climbing the Cornucopia. Cato’s death is probably the WORST. He does get eaten by the dogs but they eat him slowly for HOURS until Katniss can’t hear his cries anymore and takes pity on him and kills him… The movie toned down A LOT lol
I love our first introduction to Effie, to see how absolutely removed from reality she is. She actually believes it is an honor to participate in the games.
Cato is such an interesting character. All the careers are tbh since they’ve been raised from a young age to want this and when they get to the games they realize that it’s not what they wanted. Cato’s little speech at the end about how he’s already dead just shows how he’s realized that he’s been set up to die. They always make me sad bc people tend to just think that they’re bad people not just kids who’ve been raised to think this is ALL they are supposed to do
Also ...something i noticed, after watching 100s of reactions. Its always the same. The creators start this movie "Kids fighting for their lifes? Thats BS! Whst kind of system is that?" and later, at the end "I want Cato to die next" or "Cato deserved it" .... THAT is the system. THATS why the games worked for over 70 years. All it took was 2 hours of movie and you start cheering for kids killing kids. Thats the beauty and the scarry thing about Suzanne Collins witing. Showing how easy it it to fall for this system.
@@thomasnieswandt8805 yes exactly! The reactors and fans often fall into the exact same trap the capitol citizens do. Chosing favorites in the games, wanting certain tributes to die then later. Then after you've finished the series for the first time and see how others discuss it, you realize how messed up that though process was. We are the capitol from the beginning of the series to the end. Suzanne Collins is a masterful writer
You have to watch all the movies. It’s so good. The books are fantastic. I can’t believe you called Cinna creepy. Cinna is amazing and so supportive of Katniss.
@@JackDanReactwait until one of the future movies…one had a jump scare so bad for me that I had a panic attack and had to leave the theater lol (background context: my anxiety was very bad back then and I hate jump scares)
After seeing Katniss collapsing from hunger and frustration, Peeta burned the bread on purpose -- but only on one end so a good amount is still edible. His mother beat him for buning the bread and told him to feed it to the pigs. Instead, he secretly gave it to Katniss. He looks behind him before throwing it to see if his mother cannot see that he's not throwing it to the pigs. This is a risky act of kindness and compassion. Cato and Clove are from District 2, and Marvel and Glimmer from District 1 are known as Careers. Hamitch told Katniss and Peeta (in the movie) that they are trained from early childhood and volunteer when they're 18. Therefore, Cato is a trained 18 year old. Unlike Katniss and Peeta, they are well-fed, well-housed, and exempt from any other work except training. Their entire lives is about the Hunger Games and, Hamitch tells us, they win almost every year. When Peeta allies with the Careers, he does so to help Katniss. He leads the Careers away from where he knows she's hiding. In the book, Katniss (about 15 or 16 in the book) makes it clear that she has no interest in love, romance, or marriage. She doesn't' want to have children for the reaping. Gale, who is 18, may want more but she sees him only as a hunting friend. They help each other feed their families. Movie watchers (maybe the film studio) created a love triangle where there is none at this point in the series. Cinna views Katniss as a child (if not a little sister) who took courageous action when she volunteered. He wants to help her survive. Nothing he does is sexual, despite your misconception. I am not volunteering for your team. My momma didn't raise no fools.
1. The movie doesn't make it very clear...book readers got a whole lot of details. 2. "Well fed, well housed, and exempt from any other work" again, book exposition. 3. The book exposition made it clear, the movie made it muddy. As you can see, despite his attempt, they still found Katniss anyway, with a short duration and cut of the movie, it's rather unclear whether or not Peeta was helping her...and as for Peeta telling her to go, again the movie made it doubtful because Katniss was experiencing hallucinations... you can only know his intentions on hindsight. 4. Another book details. 5. How often do you see movies where an adult made such gesture to a child/teen? Again and again, book details are advantageous. You can only know Cinna's intention in hindsight for the movie.
@@UltimaTheSeraph My points were not to compare book to movie. They're different media and I don't expect them to be the same. My intent was simply to point out some thing that led to conclusion jumping that is not evident in the movie. Just people projecting. And I didn't want to spoil what will be revealed later. #3. They were able to find Katniss because of the fire that led her away from her hiding place and towards the Careers. Peeta had kept them going away from her before then. #5. I guess I don't automatically sexualize affection. The brotherly kiss on the check is very clear to me. Nothing is said int he book either way but it is clear that Katniss accepts his brotherly affection when she generally is suspicious of romantic interest from Peeta and, somewhat, Gale.
@@shirleydurr411 that's odd, if you weren't to compare, why bring book details? It's like putting green apples into a bowl of red apples and expect people not to notice the difference when it's clear when you bring up something different, whether intentionally or not, is to compare. Also #5. Of course not, anyone who has read the book and the details it gave, especially Katniss's thoughts can understand that Cinna was never weird in the book, the first impression even implied that Cinna didn't look at her the weird way even though Katniss was standing naked in front of him...the movie, however chose an ambiguous route, presenting uncommon gestures without so much of a context except for the hindsight. It is understandable for people to get the wrong idea at first, just like how people got the wrong idea at first about Peeta throwing bread at Katniss...even Katniss in the book didn't get his intention until the day after.
@@UltimaTheSeraphi don’t think she was intentionally trying to compare against the two, i think she’s simply just giving context to some vague and muggy points to the film that the guys were questioning and wanted to help people in the comments understand…
@shirleydurr411- on point 5 I agree with you. I'm not sure when it started or what kind of environment some people live that immediately associate any act or words of affection to sexual intent.
Despite Jennifer Lawrence only being 20 when the hunger games began filming, and having only starred in a handful of movies at that point, she had actually already been nominated for an Oscar by then! For a movie called Winter's bone. And her casting in this was announced as she was filming x-men: first class. And in the same year Hunger games was released, 2012, Silverlinings Playbook was released, for which she won an Oscar (becoming the 2nd youngest woman ever to win one, at only 22!!!!!) So whilst the Hunger Games did in some way introduce her to the mainstream (read teens), she was already very critically acclaimed. I love that the casting directors actually built a cast of insanely talented young, and older, actors for this. They took the movie seriously and that's why it still works today
Idk if anyone has mentioned this but in the book when the mutts come into play, katniss realizes that they’re made from the dead bodies of the fallen tributes. Like one of them had blonde hair and a collar with Glimmer (bow girl)’s district number. Not important but creepy to think about. Also it’s my first time seeing you guys and you’re both hilarious! The comments about Peeta painting a cake to look like Katniss had me DYING 😂
They're not made from their dead bodies. They have obvious mutt attributes though. They're oddly stable on their hind legs, they can rotate their 'wrists', they have at least 4 inch claws, they can jump really high. Their fur resembles a different fallen tribute in color and hair type and their either bigger or smaller depending on which tribute they represent. They have the same eye color as well. They also have collars that say which district each mutt is from.
it’s so sad that the winners of the hunger games didn’t live life as celebrities but as captors and trophies of the capitol, their bodies and minds never belonging to them again, they might’ve won the hunger games but the torture never really ended for them which is why haymitch is the way he is, from the age of 17 he went on to watch every single one of the tributes he mentored die being unable to help them until katniss and peeta, as well as his entire family and girlfriend being killed by the capitol just because they didn’t like how he won his games :/
Someone hasn't been paying attention! Haymitch specifically points out that the tributes from District 1 and 2 go voluntarily into training for years to prepare for the games, and then volunteer for it. "At that point, they're pretty lethal". This is why Cato and the others are such a problem, and why he knows how to snap a neck to kill. Also the close-up on Katniss' mouth was to show her exhale, which gives her better control over her shot.
It's more likely die to starvation she wasn't thinking clearly & was desperate. Seeing someone like Katniss & basically her team member gathering the berries have her the go ahead to gorge. The repeated hints that she has been following them & stealing food are more compelling.
@@orphanedhanyou The actress herself said that her character ate the fruit because she knew she wouldn't win the games, and that really makes perfect sense now!

As a girl (and a woman) whose been dodging uncomfortable and creepy relationships/advances my whole life, Cinna it's 💯 pure. I sense no attraction, just fondness and sincerity. And his character design aligns with the books! He doesn't do crazy Capitol style, no crazy colors or surgical modifications. His clothing is timeless, no alterations or adherence to trends (he doesn't look like the crowd at the train or the citizens we see at the times we switch to Haymitch's perspective). Yes, it resembles the pattern of designers who set the trends rather than the ones who follow them (look up the Cerulean Speech from The Devil Wears Prada). However the expression of his skill, plus his affection for Katniss, heavily implies that he is talented in fashion and uses that talent to offer a little dignity to the Tributes. Cinna is the [platonic] best.
Haymitch is the absolute best. Imagine all the kids he’s tried to help and make relationships with just to watch them die. It’s understandable that he’s become numb and hates the whole thing
Honestly, Haymitch is a sweetheart. He tried his hardest to save Katniss in the first games and after. Who knows how many tributes he tried his best to help wholeheartedly before it was too much to see them die over and over. He didn't have a mentor for his games either. They tried to sell him and it's probably around that time that he began drinking so the Capitol people wouldn't wanna buy him. He deserved so much better. They all did
Haymitch is definitely one of the best characters. He won the 50th hunger games so for the last 23 years he's been tasked with mentoring and trying to keep the district 12 tributes alive. He gets close to know the kids and then he has to watch them brutally die despite his best efforts. So eventually he stops trying to connect with the kids. He tries to keep himself emotionally detached from them to save himself from the pain and guilt. Until he meets Katniss who he realizes might have a chance at winning. He lets his walls down for her and Peeta. And on top of that Snow kills everyone Haymitch loves after he wins. Snow does this because Haymitch won in a similar fashion to Katniss. Haymitch showed up the game makers/the capital which Snow didn't like. So Snow killed Haymitch's entire family and his girlfriend. Between losing everyone he cares about and having to watch so many kids he cares about die it makes sense why Haymitch becomes an alcoholic.
Rue is the same actress from the Acolyte Also, district one has kids that train solely to go into the games which is why they’re so good at it immediately, they have volunteers every year And the dogs in the books were far scarier, they actually resembled each of the deceased tributes and had human like eyes
A mockingjay is a fictional bird in this series. The Capitol creates genetically engineered animals called "mutts." They made a mutt called a jabberjay (which copies human speech) that mated with mockingbirds. It's a symbol of the Capitol not being able to control everything. The three fingers is a funeral salute. Goodbye to someone you love. These things are not explained in the movies, I just read the books.
@@eddietucker7005 yeah, it's a very vague salute in fact. Katniss herself explains it as it's a local thing that expresses a state of strong emotion. Her raising her hand to salute district 11 is pretty much the first proper communication between the districts since the uprising. They even send her the bread they've saved up money for for Rue, which is also a first in the games for a district to send food to a different district's tribute.
To give you backstory on the hand gesture during the reaping ceremony, it's explained a bit better in the book. It's a gesture exclusive to District 12 that is used during funerals for the coal miners that die in explosions. It basically means "thank you for your sacrifice" or "we honor you." So, when Katniss volunteered the community saw her act as a sign of selflessness for the sake of the entire district. They were basically thanking her.
I do love the detail that the tribute center isn't comfortable, even though it is big and clean and luxurious. Everything is hard gray stone and sharp edges--brutalist architecture. Unnatural citron colors and trees without leaves. It really emphasizes that even though they have been elevated from squalor, they are not safe. This is not home, with plush chairs and fire in the hearth and green plants that grow and bear fruit. This place is unnatural and cruel, and it is trying to kill them just as much as hardship and hunger were trying to kill them before. Here they have everything, but still nothing.
In general: the lower the district the wealthier. So Katniss is from the poorest district and Clove and Cato from 2 so they are from a completely different world basically. All the districts have an industry they specialise in: mining for 12, agriculture for 11, Fishing for 4, Tech for 3, Masonry and defense for 2. In the richer districts being a tribute is considered an honour and is very prestigious, with families often sending their kids to special schools just to train for potentially being in the games. Because of this, the rules for volunteering are incredibly strict there bc everyone wants to go. If you win you get a house in the victor village in your district and an insanely high monthly allowance for the rest of your life- but you never truly leave the games, the rules are just different. You have to be a mentor and watch kids you are responsible for die, you have to be in the media, go on tour, be at the beck and call of anyone with power always, and you probs Have horrible PTSD. All that glitters is not gold
I always felt really endeared to Cinna. Trusted him from the get-go. I don’t think he had any ill intent. Some people in the comments do have a point I suppose that there’s a power dynamic there because of their classes and positions. But I always took his gestures as being empathetic and supportive. And I also never saw a romantic vibe between them even though he’s intimate with her, it felt fatherly/close friend-y as some others have said. He felt like the only real person in the capital who actually cared about her.
Really enjoyed the reaction, and the way u guys tried to work out the meanings of stuff! We don't get that from a lot of reactors. But some details from the books, Katniss is 16, and the hand gesture is an old district 12 sign. Respect, solidarity and goodbye. A sign not used often for tributes however, Katniss volunteering prompted the crowd. Something I hate the movies left out was a parachute of bread sent to Katniss from the people of district 11. She couldn't recall ever seeing a tribute receiving a gift from another district in her lifetime of watching the games.
Dude I am sooo glad I found you guys. Reactors who joke around throughout a movie generally focus more on the jokes and lose much of subtle important details in the process. You guys manage to be extremely funny and make it such a fun watch-along while also being very attentive to the movie. Also, Danny’s observation that the soup was sent by Haymich to bubble-up the “love story” was very impressive - I never saw it like that (as a sapiosexual, I am ready to propose 😂😂).
1:02:11 Katniss has never had a crush on anyone before. Like she told Gale at the beginning of the movie, she’s never having kids. She doesn’t want to become one of the parents that has to watch their kid go into the reaping every year. And so because of that, she doesn’t allow herself to consider romance with anyone. She just focuses on providing for her sister and mom.
51:45 So this kid is from district 3 where the mines were made. The "Careers" (Cato and his crew) kept him alive so he could move the mines. As soon as they detonated, his life was forfeit.
In the book Cato’s death is much more brutal because his item he got from the cornucopia feast was armor that covered his vitals, so when he fell to the dogs they couldn’t reach anything to kill him, he spent a whole evening being mauled before Katniss shot him because she couldn’t take it anymore. And the warning Haymitch gives her afterwards is because he won his games in a very similarly Capital-defying way and so Snow killed his family and his fiance
So theres actually some thoughts that Foxface ate the berries on purpose, knowing that she was going to die. In the training montage, it shows her matching up the plants so some people believe she totally knew what she was doing
The 'extra food' thing is the Tessera or Tesserae (plural) which is for a years supply of grain and oil for one person, delivered monthly. It's essentially worked out so the poorer districts have no choice but to do it while the wealthy ones don't really have to. The poorer the district; the more tesserae is applied for. Simply because, without the supply of grain and oil (nutrients and warmth) they would very likely die. The children who are Reaping age of 12-18 can put their names in for those rations for EVERY living member of their family (if they wish, or if their parents force them to) per year. Both Gale and Katniss elected to put their names in for the extra resources. And yes, you were right, it is illegal to hunt beyond the boundary lines and illegal to have 'weapons' (her bow and arrow), all of that is geared to force the poorer districts to apply for government 'help'. Say you have yourself, 4 siblings, and both your parents are alive, and a grandparent. By the time you're eighteen your name will be entered 7 times, as it is cumulative per year. However, if you also apply for tesserae for ALL members of your family (8, including yourself) your name is in the bowl 63 times by the time you're eighteen. It's not even really an option for some, because they will simply die of exposure and starvation if they don't sacrifice the chance to be put into the Games. It's basically: "either you can sit back and watch yourself and your family die of starvation/exposure, or you can up the chances being put into the games and murdered for sport to entertain the rich." This class system can force people to keep having children as long as possible so they can keep applying for the tessera once their older children are outside of Reaping age, because only the lives of their 12-18 year old children can be bargained for supplies to avoid certain death. Risk sacrificing one kid to save your family for another year? Most will. It's quite ingenious, and simultaneously absolutely sick.
54:18 No, until now it’s been exclusive to District 12, primarily used at funerals. From the Hunger Games wiki: The three-finger salute is used by District 12 residents as a gesture of admiration, gratitude, and saying goodbye to someone they love.
Cinna is not a creep. He's a friend, and almost an older brother/uncle figure. Like everyone else, he's likely seen the Hunger Games happen through his life and when he builds himself up as a stylist for them, he chooses District 12. I won't go into much detail because spoilers for the other movies - but just think of the fact that he knows theres every possibility Katniss could die. If these are going to be her final days before dying in the arena, it makes sense for Cinna to want her to feel like she is beautiful and worthy and loved, without ever crossing a line into something creepy. The tributes have (mostly) been ripped from their homes and isolated and made into pretty little killer dolls for the capitol to play with. Cinna treats Katniss like a person, with respect and dignity, instead of like an object. I always have mixed feelings about Hamish but I very much understand how he got to be how he is. He won his game (which had souble the participants) and went through that huge trauma, his family is killed, he's alone in the Victors Village as the only winner from District 12, and every year he has to personally watch two kids from his district die without being able to do anything. It's no wonder he's a cynical drunk, and that's not counting the things the capitol potentially also did, including what basically comes down to a tribute sex-ring. Katniss, and even Peeta, are outliers within the tributes from District 12. It's a poverty stricken district where people are starving - the ones who don't have their name in extra times for extra food are likely still starving, and the ones who have their name in multiple times to stave off starvation are more likely to be chosen. But against the 'careers' from top districts, they don't have a chance because there is no infrastructure or equipment for them to learn certain skills. And when it comes down to it, the younger kids are unlikely to survive against the older ones unfortunately. Foxface is fascinating. We see her matching plants during training, and it's assumed that she saw Peeta picking nightlock and figured they were safe, but that doesn't make sense because of that training bit. I agree with the fan theory that it was suicide more than the idea that she made a mistake. Her plan for the games was to hide until everyone had killed each other off - a plan that had worked for other tributes in the past - and when it became clear that it wasn't going to work, she made a choice. She wasn't going to be a spectacle for the capitol to watch, she wasn't going to be tortured or killed violently, she was choosing to bow out privately by her own hand. And I can't leave this massive comment without talking about Thresh and the other tributes. He wasn't there to make friends, but he tried to protect Rue in what small capacity he could. He knew that they were all against each other, that he might have to kill Katniss eventually, but he protected her that one time in Rue's name. They were kids in this huge fight to the death but not all of them lost their humanity. Even the ones who you think have - the careers - are still just kids who the reality still hasn't quite sunken in for. Cato begs for Clove to stay with him, even knowing there can only be one winner. He talks about being the capitol's pawn and being raised for the slaughter to bring pride to his district. And, in the end, he asks Katniss to mercy-kill him. His death and the mutts become some of Katniss' and Peeta's worst nightmares. The mutts especially were horrific in the books compared to the movies. In the books, they resembled the dead tributes. Peeta wonders if they have the tributes real eyes in them, and Katniss wonders if they have the tributes brains or memories and if they were programmed to know their faces or to look for their killers. It's not confirmed if they were just lookalikes or if they had desecrated the dead tributes bodies to create monsters, but it's a very real and horrifying thought and even more of a slap in the face to the tributes themselves and their families. Proof that they really are just objects and game pieces in the capitols eyes.
1:04:21 Oh, they’re much worse in the book. They’re supposed to be almost werewolf-like, and each of them has a fur color and type that matches a fallen tribute. Their eyes are the same color as the tribute, to the point that Katniss thought the gamemakers removed the dead tributes’ eyes and put them in the mutts. They were also wearing collars with the corresponding tribute’s name.
I believe in the books Cato had some kind of armor that prevented the mutts from killing him, however they still could hurt him. So Peeta and Katniss had to listen to the mutts tear at him for hours until Katniss finally mercy killed him. Also the mutts in the book were designed to look like fallen tributes and Katniss was able to identify a few of them by their eyes.
You recognized the roman references! The "country" of this games is named Panem. Is a futurisric and destroyed USA. The name comes from "panem et circenses", that is "bread and circus". It was used around the whole gladiators fights and all those shows, to calm the masses. Like a "keep the people fed and entretained and they will not complain" kind of slogan. So all the names and references to the roman culture, is for that reason
Also, something they dont show in the movies but inform you in the books, after that explosion Katniss is left deaf in one ear and the dogs did so much damage to peetas leg that he wore a prosthetic for the rest of his life (ie the leg was amputated)
I love that you guys picked up vibes between Cinna and Katniss! So long story short they already knew eachother through zoe kravitz, Lenny Kravitz’s daughter. So they were all apart of that cool New York scene at the time.
cinna didn’t kiss Katniss in a romantic or sexual way. it was a comforting way. Like how a father would kiss and hug his daughter. he knew katniss was scared and was going into a scary situation. so he was giving her as much comfort & support as her could.
why you calling cinna and katniss relationship problematic, he's so good for her. it's not like that, he's looking after her, giving her some paternal affection
58:04 Haymitch didnt send medicine bc sponsor gifts get more expensive as the games go on and at that point in the game, something like medicine for Peeta would be outrageously expensive
My dude made a great point about the first scene on the train, In the books the hunger is focused on a LOT more Katniss and peeta do start eating everything but Katniss was taught manners by her mom (who is from the nicer part of the district originally) and peetas dad is the baker so he knows how to eat as well, Effie makes a comment about how “at least the tributes aren’t using their hands this year” and Katniss recalls the two tributes from the year before who very skinny starving children from the seam (the coal mining part of the district, the most poor) so Katniss eats the rest of her meal with her hands, I think they both get sick as well from eating too much at once
To answer your question about how some kids fight so well. Districts 1 and 2 pick their tributes at birth and then train them their entire lives to fight in the Hunger Games. And then when they turn 18, they volunteer, so it doesn't matter who is picked, their top warriors go in every year. Because of that, the winner most of the time is usually someone from District 1 or 2. This is against the rules, but it's pretty obvious that's what they are doing when every year two vicious master killers volunteer as tributes in Districts 1 and 2.
I highly recommend watching the rest of the movies. They are pretty good and not to hype it up too much… but the sequel. Chefs kiss. Also, along with everyone else, we watch for you guys. Watch the genres you’d like to watch. Watch Scream!!! It’s such a good franchise
Cato and his crew are the carreers , these are tributes who come from districts 1,2 and sometimes 3 ( Might be only one and two ) . They go to special schools to train for the hunger games and the year they turn 18 they volunteer. This is why they were all so skilled in different battle tactics , e.g. cato knew how to break a neck and clove knew how to throw knifes . Everyone says peeta and katniss were star crossed lovers but the true starcrossed lovers were clove and cato , for her district token, clove had a ring - this was said to actually be an engagement ring from the boy who came with her ( cato ) .
The thing with Haymitch is that his game was the 50th’s game so they did something different. Instead of 2 per district they did 4. His arena was like deadly paradise, so like everything was insanely beautiful, very utopia-like but that beauty lured you in and killed you. He survived because he was literally fighting to death (his intestines were out and everything) with another person and he had found a loophole that if you threw something down a cliff it would bounce back. He did exactly that with an axe and won the game but the capitol saw that as “cheating” the system so they killed his entire family and his girlfriend. So yeah you get why he’s drunk all the time. Also seeing 12-18year olds you mentor die every year must be exahusting.
I have never heard anyone who thought Cinna was creepy (till now). Their relationship isn't like that. He admires her bravery for saving her sister and is sympathetic towards Katniss. After leaving the district, everyone (other than Peeta) around Katniss is either worried about appearances or results. Cinna is the only one who treats Katniss like a person. He becomes a friend and a mentor. The exchange between them isn't romantic or sexual in any way. Even though Cinna said he'd bet on her, there is still a very real possibility she won't make it, and it's the last time they will see each other. It's "I hope you make it," but it is also "goodbye" just in case she doesn't.
it’s sooo interesting watching someone watch this movie for the first time without really having been spoiled before or knowing the complete plot! and you are both so attentive; love your videos☺️
Foxface dying had to be suicide. She was too clever to make that mistake. The reason why im saying this is because when she gets introduced to us, she was matching all types of plants in the simulation during training. If katniss knows about the poisonous berries, foxface deffo knows. She survived this long and is up against the strongest tributes left, she took the easier way out. Also i wish they kept district 11 giving bread to katniss as an aid after rue's death, it held so much meaning. In termsof the mutts, i wish the designs were more book-accurate. in the books, the mutts were human-dog cross-bread that wore the fallen tributes faces. It was so terrifying the both Katniss and Peeta had nightmares about it for several months. The scariest mutt of them all was Thresh, the smallest one was Rue and the blonde one was glimmer. They all had the eyes of the fallen tributes
I think in the book it makes it very clear it’s not suicide. The suicide theory is only a movie thing because they added in that one scene in training: which has nothing to do with identifying edible plants. It’s a matching reflex game.
The 2nd part of "The Hunger Games" is even better than the 1st part and the 3rd and 4th parts are an absolute blast, there are few films that have an upward trend in the suspense of the plot.
Was so happy to see you had reacted to this😅 Hunger Games franchise is one of my favourites. Please do the whole series 🙏 Little bit of extra info only about the first HG's book/film. No spoilers for the rest of the series! The 3 finger salute is a symbolic gesture that only District 12 use. District 11 were doing it basically honouring Katniss for trying to protect Rue, giving her a 'burial' and just showing the kindness that she did. Katniss is a really complex character, and she has a skewed perspective on love after watching her mum fall apart mentally/emotionally when their dad died in the mines explosion. The only person that she knows she truly loves is Prim, and her life basically revolves around survival and protecting her sister. Love and relationships are not on her mind, however, in books she does feel something for Peeta when they kiss in the cave. She has history wity both Gale and Peeta in a non-romantic way. With Gale being her hunting partner (he also has family to provide for), and Peeta did throw her that bread. The movie failed at showing the importance of that scene and it's one of the only few things that I didn't like about the movies. Katniss was starving at that point and had given up on life, and Peeta saw her outside so he burned the bread on purpose to give it to her knowing that his mum would abuse him. After this, Katniss had hope again and kept trying to survive. Anyway, thank you for your reaction 😅
Fun Facts: District 12 Filming Location: District 12 was filmed at the abandoned Henry River Mill Village, located about an hour's drive from my home. On one of my outings, I stumbled upon the filming in progress. Due to the covered canvases, I initially thought the property owner was renovating some of the structures. Little did I know, the scene being shot that day was Peeta’s bakery. Today, a large sign marks the site as the filming location for District 12 in *The Hunger Games*. Isabelle Fuhrman: Isabelle Fuhrman, who portrayed Clove from District 2 in *The Hunger Games*, previously starred as the chilling character Esther in the horror movie *Orphan* (2009). Her performance in *Orphan* is iconic, showcasing her talent for playing devilishly complex roles. The Hunger Games & Battle Royale: *The Hunger Games* draws comparisons to the Japanese film *Battle Royale* (2000), which features a government-sanctioned fight to the death among school children. Though largely banned, *Battle Royale* gained a cult following and was officially released in North America after the success of *The Hunger Games* at the box office. If you haven’t seen it, *Battle Royale* is worth checking out as a classic of the genre.
She made her feel more human and not just a martyred sacrifice for plot reason (even though technically she is)

Haymitch is definitely an interesting and complicated character. Imagine being forced to fight to the death as a teenager, winning, and then once a year for 24 years mentoring two children from your community who die brutally every time. I'd be an angry, jaded, fatalistic alcoholic, too.
And certain family definitely came after him
Oh and because of the way you won the government slaughtered your family and girlfriend so now you’re also isolated in this victors village
Not to mention, the games he was in had 48 tributes because it was the 50th anniversary of the games
@@morgan1076 yes! and then during catching fire, watching katniss, peeta, and your friends from other districts go back into the vile games
Not so fun fact: in the books the big dogs were either fashioned after or made from the dead tributes. Like they were strangely human and katniss could recognize the individual tributes. That made my skin crawl.
That is horrid
Yeah the wolves had eyes identical to the dead tributes, and the same fur color and texture of the tributes as well. With collars numbered by their districts
I wish they would have done this cuz when the scene was coming I was waiting to see how they do it but was disappointed they made them just dogs
LOL, just wrote a comment similar to yours, then I saw you: "It's actually even worse with the dogs in the books: It's implied that they've got something strangely human about them - that they've somehow been "constructed" through the remains/biology of the murdered tributes, and are now sent to both haunt and kill the remaining survivors."
Yeah, absolutely grotesque detail which served to underline how the Capitol and Game Masters viewed the tributes and their districts - or perhaps how they viewed life in general - something to be molded and dehumanized to suit their entertainment/purposes. No dignity is granted, no hard line not to cross.
Something which is underlined throughout the series: The tributes/districts serve at the Capitol's pleasure, and only for their amusement and ease of comfort.
I forgot this thanks
PLEASE watch all of the Hunger Games movies! This series is so so good and emotional and I think you’ll really love the whole story from beginning to end.

I mean he was a little intimate. The kiss could have been switched out for a sympathetic look.
omg I just commented a similar comment!
i wonder what they would think when they see the 'kiss' in the second movie..
Yeah, but it makes sense to question motives when so far all the Capitol people are clearly more invested in the spectacle rather than the children.
Fun facts from the first book:
1. Katniss actually “drugged” Peeta to get him to go to sleep so she could go to the “feast” (get the meds for him)
2. Peeta was quite literally on the verge of death when Katniss found him. He literally had blood poisoning and if Katniss didn’t go to the feast he would’ve died like that night
3. Katniss didn’t actually “mercy kill” Cato, he was eaten by the mutts, Peeta and Katniss were both too weak to do it
4. Peeta and Katniss did actually eat the berries, they just had to spit them out/ throw them up
5. When Peeta and Katniss “met” or when he gave her the bread they were about 11/12, Katniss’ mother was literally in such a deep depression that she literally didn’t do anything so Katniss stepped up, and that’s why she’s more of the caregiver in the family, but they were starving and she went out and she stopped outside of Peeta’s family bakery and then the scene happens, so after that Katniss really sees Peeta as a symbol of hope
6. Peeta and his brothers were actually abused by their mother, but it’s kind of hinted at that she was especially cruel to Peeta
7. It’s kind of shown in the movies but Katniss really has a “resentment” towards her mother after her father died (understandably because she literally had to do everything for the whole family at the age of like 11/12)
8. Gale wasn’t as much of a love interest as the first movie makes him seem.
9. Peeta actually lost his leg (not from infection but from the mutts) and had to get a prosthetic and Katniss had to find out while they were filming her reaction
10. Peeta’s father actually at one point wanted to marry Katniss’ mother… so that was a thing I guess
11. It’s not clear which one but we know that the wolf mutts were either made out of the dead tributes or were made to look like the dead tributes to Peeta and Katniss
1. That pin is not "found" by her on the blackmarket, but given to her (after the reaping) by her only friend in Distikt 12, Madge Undersees, the Mayors daughter
2. The pin belonged to Madges aunt. Maysilee Donner. Maysilee was reaped at the age of 16, during the 50th games (the games Haymitch won) she was killed by mutated Flamingos. That pin was Maysilees Distikt token.
3. Maysilee was the best friend of Katniss mom
The three fingers is a funeral symbol of respect in the districts. Like they are all saying you're gonna die and we respect your sacrifice for your sister
It's more used in 12, but people seem to know what it means & it just catches fire (pun intended) as the districts get sick of the capitol.
I haven't read the books, but I always assumed the 3 was in tribute to District 13.
No, the salute was in District 12 only. District 11 didn’t see it until she gave a salute for Rue… then it caught on fire😊
@@orphanedhanyouThe people in the other districts don’t know what it means. They’d never seen it before Katniss was saluted, and then did it herself. The other districts adopted it as a sign of resistance,

Peeta telling Katniss to shoot straight was just a different version of saying "Good Luck"
ALSO, the tribute known as “Foxface” didn’t eat the berries until she saw Peeta picking them and she assumed they were safe. She was extremely clever and resourceful and could have won if not for the slight miscalculation of not waiting to see what would happen if the berries were eaten.
I've always thought she did it on purpose to go out on her own and not be taken out brutally by others.

He did give creep vibes with the kisses and intimacy.
he’s definitely very intimate but I never got a creepy or romantic vibe personally. the circumstances call for intimacy.

You can tell people don’t spend much time outdoors lol
They must not have seen Mulan
Ngl I did t think of that either 😂
I mean most times water reflection doesn't really allow you to see anything precise, you might glimpse a decent image of yourself in a puddle in the street with good lightning but in most natural places you won't see more than silhouettes - and even then the clearest reflections you'll find is when the water is still. In this case, that river is really not going to do much. Still, it's a nice explanation for the movie, hadn't thought of that before

Wait slavery? Really?

The 3 finger salute is a sign of respect or “parting of a loved one” used in the lower districts (10-11-12th) and it’s seen a a sign of rebellion. If you’re book fans I highly recommend reading the books, such an important metaphor for the world atm. Specially how even in the movies they use hunger as a weapon
“So when do they recouple and where’s Casa Amor?” took me all the way out lmaooo
The only way I, as an American, knew that reference was because a singer/songwriter I admire had his music used in one episode
32:47 I think you missed that it's her pin. He gave it to her and stopped her from saying anything because she wasn't meant to have it. Cinna only views her as a young girl whose life is on the line, it's not sexual or romantic in any way. To her, he's one of the few people she can actually trust in The Capitol.
thank you this was the first time I ever saw anybody say that they thought cinna was coming onto her, I was like, huh???
Also a fact from the book, that anoyed me from the start, because it changes the backstory of the Mockingjay pin and therefor the whole first act. Because book one is about Katniss wearing that pin openly....because.
1. That pin is not "found" by her on the blackmarket, but given to her (after the reaping) by her only friend in Distict 12, Madge Undersees, the Mayors daughter
2. The pin belonged to Madges aunt. Maysilee Donner. Maysilee was reaped at the age of 16, during the 50th games (the games Haymitch won) she was killed by mutated Flamingos. That pin was Maysilees Distict token.
3. Maysilee was the best friend of Katniss mom
One year, a girl lost her token on the plattorm and the loss of these 2-3 gramm BOOM

You don’t speak for me. I come for the thighs.
It's not explained super well in the movie, but the tributes from 1, 2, and 4 train for the hunger games from an early age, and then volunteer when they're 18. They're called careers. The career pack then works together for most of the games to hoard supplies and hunt down other tributes, and win way more often than the other districts. Training for the games is technically illegal, which is why the other districts don't do it, but the career districts get special privileges from the Capitol and are more well off.
primrose getting picked her first time ever in the reaping is such bad luck and ABSOLUTELY something that would happen to me lol

Jack is a real one that stands up against hate!
1:04:00 Those berries are actually native to the forest outside of District 12. That’s why only Katniss recognized them. Foxface was from another district, and Peeta (like pretty much everyone in 12) never snuck out past the fence.
Positively giggling, squealing and kicking my feet for this! I love these movies so much (I'm even reading the books for the first time as we speak) so I am beyond thrilled to see the absolute best boys get into the franchise!
Ah now that is absolute perfect timing then right!? As if you're reading the books at the same time 😅 how far into the book series are you? (Absolute best boys is my favourite term. Gonna request my family address me as such going forward)
@@JackDanReact Imagine my shock when I saw that ya'll were going to be watching this lol. I am currently about half way through Catching Fire (the second book) and at breakneck speeds.
Hahaha i'm starting to think that's the only way i can enjoy a movie peacefully from now on is if that Disney intro is played 😂
That dog jumpscare absolutely sent me, i felt like i was there with Peeta 😅
The ending is so much more brutal in the book: The large dogs are made with the DNA of the dead tributes and Katniss notices when she sees one of them with Rue’s eyes. Peeta actually loses a leg because it gets bitten severely by the dogs as he’s climbing the Cornucopia. Cato’s death is probably the WORST. He does get eaten by the dogs but they eat him slowly for HOURS until Katniss can’t hear his cries anymore and takes pity on him and kills him…
The movie toned down A LOT lol

Cinna only sees Katniss as a daughter, there is nothing scary about their relationship.
Oh shoot someone did already mention it. Anyways, amazing reaction! ❤
1:02:38 “bit of a kiss-able vibe????” That got me more than I expected, LOLOLOL
Cinna is literally the least problematic person for Katniss 😂😭 (v problematic for the capital tho 👀)
1:04:00 there’s a theory she actually did know what she was eating, and rather wanted to go out that way since she knew she wouldn’t win.

Rue is the same actress from the Acolyte
Also, district one has kids that train solely to go into the games which is why they’re so good at it immediately, they have volunteers every year
And the dogs in the books were far scarier, they actually resembled each of the deceased tributes and had human like eyes
The salute means love, respect, goodbye.

It's interesting he pointed that out because it's spot on, that's exactly how it was explained in the book
"a slinky, that'll while away the hours" got me good 😂😂😂
doesn’t matter what genre you both watch, i’m sat each time for your reactions 😌☝️
Appreciate you stopping by as always mate 😊
You guys are going to understand SO much better what life post-Games is actually like when you see the second one.
It's basically: "either you can sit back and watch yourself and your family die of starvation/exposure, or you can up the chances being put into the games and murdered for sport to entertain the rich."
This class system can force people to keep having children as long as possible so they can keep applying for the tessera once their older children are outside of Reaping age, because only the lives of their 12-18 year old children can be bargained for supplies to avoid certain death. Risk sacrificing one kid to save your family for another year? Most will. It's quite ingenious, and simultaneously absolutely sick.
This is a great explanation for how Tessera works. Literally the first time I actually understood the concept. Thank you!
@@Krissykimmi You're so welcome! I thought it was a bit jumbled so I'm glad it made sense!
DONT DO MY BOY CINNA LIKE THAT, ITS PLATONIC
The „dogs“ at the end were much more terrifying in the books, since they had the voice and faces of the fallen tributes, if i remember correctly.
Now imagine watching that jump scare IN THEATRE! I've never jumped out of my seat so badly! Lol
cinna didn’t kiss Katniss in a romantic or sexual way. it was a comforting way.
It is not creepy at all, the relationship between cinna and katniss
21:46 - the effects of not reading the books (and the movie not presenting certain things in the right way) 😂
I love your horror movie reactions, but I'm so excited you guys are spreading out into more genres!!!
I do love a good horror, but I don't wanna restrict to just that one genre, there are so many great movies out there!
@@JackDanReactthe Green Mile is on the horizon, I presume….
I highly recommend watching the rest of the movies. They are pretty good and not to hype it up too much… but the sequel. Chefs kiss.
Also, along with everyone else, we watch for you guys. Watch the genres you’d like to watch.
Watch Scream!!! It’s such a good franchise
"Pete is probably one of the branches on this tree right now."
Lolll these lines man
Cato and his crew are the carreers , these are tributes who come from districts 1,2 and sometimes 3 ( Might be only one and two ) .
Please continue this franchise til the end ... You won't regret it for a minute ...
I just found you guys today and binged everything :D thanks for the new video!!!
No way! That's so cool 😂 I hope you'll enjoy this one!
Katniss didnt get an 11 bc she's the favourite of the gamemakers. Giving her an 11 immediately paints a target on her back
I have never heard anyone who thought Cinna was creepy (till now).
NOOO this was just released a couple days ago??? I wanted to see their reaction to Catching Fire!!
The second one is even better!
Im so sad yall missed Peeta signalling to Katniss to shoot Cato in the hand
it’s sooo interesting watching someone watch this movie for the first time without really having been spoiled before or knowing the complete plot! and you are both so attentive; love your videos☺️
Jacks sense of humor and Dan’s legs keep me coming back for more. 😂
Was so happy to see you had reacted to this😅
Hunger Games franchise is one of my favourites. Please do the whole series 🙏
Little bit of extra info only about the first HG's book/film.
Fun Facts:
District 12 Filming Location: District 12 was filmed at the abandoned Henry River Mill Village, located about an hour's drive from my home.
