Let's say level III plates are the standard, that is going to stop just about any pistol caliber weapon outside of anything chambered for 5.7 and 4.6. I understand your reasoning but that argument can be made for almost any pistol or smg using standard ammo in each caliber. Only exception really is maybe +P ammo

Mechanically, it was a self-loading carbine, but technically it wasn't as the bolt will stay back after ejecting the fired casing. You have to manually engage a lever to drop the bolt and chamber a new round. It's a really smart workaround but, sadly, I believe that it was rejected by the government. Semiauto PCCs are permitted in my country, and there's no restriction in barrel length, or stocks or magazine capacity. Sadly, suppressors are banned.

North Korea made an AK rifle with a mag like that, that holds some 80 rounds I think. Surprised more guns wouldn't have this in like a Bullpup configuration then you'd have more rounds.
The design is great on paper, but the magazine was very prone to failure. Hopefully they can fix that. It looks very cool, and the mag capacity is great for CQB.

this was further developed in to the king PP19-01. this original PP19 had two drawbacks that held it back. 1. the magazine had issiues reloading and its dimensions made it unconfortable for loadbearing equipment , there werr also some other issiues aith the magazine. 2. the 9x18 by that time started to be replaced by 9x19 weapons. quite a lot of developmwnt went into weapons for 9x19 and 9x19 ammo itself , including armour pircing 9x19 rounds wich are still unmatched in penetration performance. this resultet into the pp19-01 ( known aa "vityaz" ) where the caliber is changed to 9x19 ( and weapon is cabable of firing those nasty armor pen 9x19 ) and the magazin was replaced with a more traditional 30 round stick magazine. as compensation for the decreased capacity , the developers have designed the magazine and weapon in such a way that two magazines could be easily stuck together for a faster reload , each smg comes with a combiner for two magazines.
While the Bizon is a great idea ON PAPER, there is reason it's more or less extinct nowadays, replaced by the Vityaz which is the same weapon just with a conventional stick mag. Yea that Monster can mag is a nightmare with soviet manufacturing standards.

Pp19 bizon from russa, is a ak base and the mag Can hold ~ 60 9mm bullets. This mag system has been re-used with the type 88 with the common amunitions of the AK-47 or Kalashnikov (yes i used a firearm wiki)
Except the same helical magazine design was used by the Calico 9mm back in the 80s. Of course the magazine sat on top of the weapon but the design is essentially the same.
The only 2 sad parts of this weapon design was the dificult reloading operation(that could be facilitated but well...) and the disgusting 9x18 caliber that cant pierce even the most basic body armor., thats why the conversion kit for the weapon ended up so popular that they just remade it into the Vityaz...

IIRC, there was a 7.62x25 caliber variant of this weapon as well, but the magazine capacity goes from 64 to 35 rounds and uses a box magazine.
