Finally got a chance to load stage 1+ on the MHD car after we fitted the 5 inch stepped intercooler last month.
The stage 1+ map has taken the boost peak from around 14.5psi up to 18psi and has also taken a couple of tenths of a second of this cars 0-100kmh time.

I’m glad I watched this again and freezed the video when you were selecting your options. I just noticed that you have to select the ‘option’ of having Oem downpipes........I had assumed that options would involve those items that are not stock! Thanks again.

I'm was running JB4 with progressive Methanol stage 2+ with JB4 controlling boost at 21 psi on stock turbos getting to 3.2 0-60 MPH. now I have larger and all around better turbos with 2 inch inlets and outlets and wavetrac LSD getting 2.5 seconds from 0-60 @ 28 psi all for less then 5 grand naturally doing all of the work myself. Bang for your $ horsepower there doesn't exhist a better platform in my opinion including N55 which internals cannot support the same HP in my experience. Absolutely love N54 platform I will probably spend another 10 grand on this current build getting to 8/900 hp. Why ? I have no answer should probably hang out at 650 and drift away but would very much like to destroy 1/4 mile world record in my garage at home. Cheers gentlemen enjoyed the vid✌

The content well it is exciting to watch to see real results and the hard work paying off. Gear heads for life, I bought the stepped intercooler from ARM and the install was fine until I had to fit the stock pipe into the intercooler took some grease and a little force and it finally clicked into position and 25 to 30 degree drop in AI temps and oil temps. 17t german 2jz cant wait. cheers from across the pond.

Really excited to see the other 17T hybrid build completed!! I have DARN near the exact same setup (exception of a 6MT w/ 335is clutch in mine)!! Do you guys have an expected completion date? I ordered mine after seeing your initial overview of them 3 weeks ago and the car should be out of the shop Monday or Tuesday!!😭👌🏽 Was really hoping to see yours running first, lol but it’s all good. You are pushing for much higher #’s than me and I can’t imagine how much fun recording and editing ALL of this on top of the work has been! LOL

Thanks so much for the support really appreciate it. The corona rubbish has been a biblical pain in the back side. Its taken 10 days to do a walnut blast, where i had provisions 2 hours...... haha. Getting little bits that should be over night are taking 4-5 days and our actual real work is suffering big time with the slow down in customers. The vids will hopefully be flowing fully again shortly. We are hoping to be able to have a lot more time to put in to youtube in May. Just need work sorted first.

Ohhh man, i am dying to try that update on my black 335i. It will be the first thing i do once the walnut blasting is finally finished.
Great video fellas. I reckon it would be worthwhile switching on performance cooling as this will drop combustion chamber temps and could result in more hp. I am running stage 1+ in my sedan and really struggle for traction as well, not well set up for drag racing!
How do you manage to put all the power to the floor in drag race?
So how about combining these tunes with transmission tuning too? That might make a difference in the timing and the delivery of the power.
Take a look at XHP for the transmissions. Seriously livens it up.

Yes, you are right, XHP wont suit the DCT. However, take grace knowing that everyone installing XHP on theirs autos is trying to make them more like your DCT..... we are wishing we had the DCT.....
@@ZeroTo60Tube The shifts feel more crisp and less torque reduction during a gearshift. I have also set the custom shift speed to +20%. Definitely gives a dct like feel.
Something is wrong. My 345i had tíme 0-100 in Stock mode 5.19s, after modding with MHD stage 1+ tíme was from 0-100 4,81s.
Nice video. What was your intake temp when doing these pulls? Mine was 125f, ambient temp 18.5c. Is it too high? Using stock intercooler, E92 335i DCT, MHD Stage 1+
Hi Faizal. I can't remember exactly but this car sits around 35-45c in summer after 2 or 3 pulls.
i installed charge pipe, 7" fmic, and stage 1+ mhd tune, was fine for a bit, then got 2cfa and 2ded, then changed the tune to have the linear throttle mapping, then after a pull got 2cec, 2ced, 2cf6, 2cf7, 2d09, 2d61 lmfao. reset mhd tunes and then got 2cfa, 2ded again, i ordered a new throttle body but im curious on if there could be a different issue... what do you think if you have time, thanks
My code for the ' throttle valve potentiometer ' which I thought a new oem throttle body would fix ( which didnt) kept popping up every now and again for gears,,, limp mode light on... annoying.. was getting brake work done and was on at mechanic, who replaced throttle body earlier, he ended up checking wiring from throttle to DME, fixing and putting some expensive liquid on it for better electrical conductivity. Fixed it for now and got rid of my airbag light too . cheers
Would be nice if you could test an E90 N55 automatic 335i to compare. I have one with intercooler and Mhd stage 1 plus but suspect its slower due to small twinscroll turbo.
We will put some feelers out and see if we can get one for sure. Tbh would love to have a go in any e90 335i, haven’t been in one yet. Have you seen the m135i we have done with the MHD flash yet?
Anyone know the hp range for stage 1+ e30?
Did the xhp stage 2 and MHD stage 1 on my n55 x1, new Ngk plugs and new coils. Got the cel light after a wot run to redline. Went off after restarting like I’ve seen you do in the n54 many times. Does it overboost if it bounces off the redline? Is there any way to prevent this, other than shift early?

my pretty much stock 2008 bmw e90 335xi ran a 4.7 0-60mph (muffler delete) (no tune). going stage 1+ here soon. as well with a xHP flash.
You guys with the Xdrives are cheating you know :P haha.... so jealous we don't get them over here. This car was half a second a quicker on a better surface than this road when tested last year. This video was to show the difference between stage 1 and 1+. Surface, air temps, weight in the car, tyres all have a massive affect on acceleration times. This would be in the 4s on a good surface and 1 person in the car for sure. But as you can see in the video, it got harder to put its power down with the 1+ tune. A problem you wont ever have in the xdrive..... haha.
@@ZeroTo60Tube haha, yeah when I got the car I wanted an AWD so I wouldn't have to worry about wheel spin from a dig. Sometimes I regret it when my mates go drifting. But, When I ran the 4.7 it was on a pretty bad surface but it was cool out. I found the video really helpful though. It gave me an Idea of difference between the 2 tunes. Excited to get the Stage 1+ tune along with the recommended mods. What are your thoughts on the xHP flash? Love the videos!
@@Sanmanlion7 XHP is a bit of a must have in my eyes. I have it on my 335i, this is one the later videos of it running just here if you haven't seen it yet. ruclips.net/video/o3wWhfVF92E/видео.html Being able to lock it in gear and it not just shifting when it wants to is a huge p bonus, not to mention the speed of the shifts are great. In my car i can upshift mid slide and it doesn't even unsettle the car. I picked up a good 2 tenths of a second with XHP on our 0-100 runs. Which was a surprise.
I also have a stock E90 335i Xdrive - haven't yet had time to measure 0-100kph, but I raced a 2018 Audi S3 from traffic lights two times, and surprisingly won both races. He had an additional person in the car and I was alone, yet he also had launch control but couldn't catch me even from the line. I was really surprised. Based on that alone I think I COULD be running low 5s as stock, since the S3 should run consistent high 4s with one person onboard. Interesting!
@@Sanmanlion7 Ambient temperature makes a huge difference in these cars. On a cold day you can see an extra 30hp due to that dense air.
Did you guys remove the 1st and 2nd gear boost restriction? Better have some sticky tires you're gonna light regular tires up in 1st.
No...... no limiters removed on this car and you are spot on traction is an issue.
Awesome that MHD finally released the standing burble, I'm going to have to load V9 on mine! I'm very interested to know the difference between MHD stage 1+ and stage 2 as haven't tested that on mine yet. Interesting they don't recommend inter-cooler for stage 2 just catless downpipes, so curious what the actual differences are between the two and what the boost target on each is. I have been running mine on stage 2 for a few months with catless downpipes, still stock intercooler. It's also starting to get cooler in NZ so could probably get away with stage 1+ or even stage 2+ in the winter
Hi Michael, Not sure if you got to the summary part of the vid, but stage 1+ was boosting to 18psi in this car. So i guess thats why they recommend the intercooler. That extra 4 psi would definitely be creating a lot more heat in the charged air. Would be interesting to see what makes more power Stage 1+ or stage 2. hmmmmm
@@ZeroTo60Tube I will have to check what mine is boosting again on stage 2, it's been a while since I logged it. Interesting that stage 1+ boosts 18 psi when 18.5 psi is the Max for ots maps before requiring the mboost option. So guessing the stage 2 maps must be more aggressive timing with similar boost

if you guys like stage 1 + you will def like stage 2 + .. im pretty intersted to see how those china turbos work for you . i am in the us and they have the worst reputation here.
So are we, they are sitting in my office at work and i am getting a bit frustrated just looking at them. The covid mess has caused a lot of issues with our real work, which have to take priority over our car stuff..... Soon though, soon they will be on.

0-100 readings? I just switched to MHD from the Cobb so keen to see what it does.
HI Richard, We use a vbox sport. It used to be the industry standard for testing cars, but the new draggy system is just as accurate. They are much more accurate than any OBD based testers.

If you haven't done either recently i would just change them so you know they are good. Depending on what MHD tune you are running it might be worth looking in to the 1 step or 2 step colder plugs as well. If you get a chance or remember please let us know what you think of MHD over the cobb setup.
@@ZeroTo60Tube only took the car out for a quick spin to do a log and see the difference. It's quite different. My car has bigger turbos and FBO. I went straight to map 2+. Cobb boost didn't come on till just over 4krpm. I'd often get a low pressure code. Mhd much more linear, but now got a misfire.
What tires do you use? When I try 0-60 my tires spin to much.
These are bridgestones. Fighting the wheelspin is a big problem, you have to be very gentle on the launch.
Hey guys, just tried to flash my n55 x135 and it failed at the end and the windshield wipers starting freaking out, wouldn’t start etc. Luckily it let me flash it back to stock, just curious if you guys know what I may have done wrong? I did the xhp flash without issue but clearly I messed something up.
they can just error sometimes. Just make sure youre battery is good with plenty of charge and maybe even put it on charge while youre flashing
make sure your key is inserted and ignition on properly (engine light on)

No, this car is currently stock DPs.
How are you doing rev launches in an auto ? Is this a Dual clutch ?
No stock 6at just brake boosting.

Did you upgrade rears to ps4s?
No, this one is still on Bridgestones. My black car is currently on PS4s. Plan to do a comparison between the PS4s and the Achilles shortly.
What is the real difference between stage 1+ and 2 then? Since 1+ seems to make more power
Stage 1+ targets more timing, stage 2 targets more boost with the same timing as stage 1. Stage 2+ is more timing and more boost.

This is crazy that he is only getting mid 5s with that tune. And ooof that intercooler doesnt seem to be working well at all... :/ i just had a 6in AMS intercooler installed and it didint budge the temp today and it was a 30c plus day and i was doing back to back to back hard pulls at stage 1 94 oct. Was perfect!
This car would see 70c with the stock cooler after 3 pulls. So the cooler is working, but i wouldnt expect it to work as well as the AMS one, then again the AMS one is 3 times the price. Also a stock car when timed accurately with 2 people in it, will be in the 6's. Have you got a vbox or a dragy yet? They are awesome tools to measure performance and great for measuring what your mods actually do to your car instead of just believing the marketing hype.

how much power at 18 psi ?
Probably between 350 and 400whp depending on what dyno you are on. I would say 100hp-ish more than stock.
I have the 335xi, so with stage 2 it's gonna kill it, I'll have less wheel spin from 0-100km
I have an 08 535xi. It chirps all 4 tires all the way through my pulls in 1+. Running bfg Gforce comp 2s

Any idea to get that pop pop sound witouth a big straight pipe exhaust noise?
To be honest, you at least need a muffler delete. Or a decat. This car has the muffler delete, a decat alone will sound similar, but if you have both, thats when you get the real loud noise.
why so obsessed with zero to 60 times, you could do 10 runs and they would all be different, you need to compare 60-100 mph or quarter mile runs

No, just 6at. At this point it didnt even have xHP.

Honestly disappointed by these number. Not really fast at all
